We Indians think twice before spending even a dime, but I readily bought the subscription of Fireflies because it was giving me optimum and expected results. I even added an extra email of mine and paid separately for it. Once something fulfills your requirement then there is no problem in paying for it. Fireflies is a flawless experience. I have almost become a Fireflies brand advocate. I recommend it to everyone I meet. For online meetings I invite Fred, for offline meetings I audio-record the whole meeting and upload it to Fireflies. And it never disappoints. I just love it! Pros No matter what language you speak in, it understands. I do my meetings in a mix of English, Hindi and Marathi. I may not be getting exact transcripts, but I do get the exact summary of what all was discussed in the meeting. Cons You cannot select multiple language for the meetings. I do my meetings and recordings in a mix of languages i.e. English, Hindi and Marathi, but I have an option of selecting only one language while transcribing or summarizing, and I always get confused between English Global and English India, but I select English India. There should be an option to select multiple languages so that the meeting or recording is transcribed accurately. Fireflies did not ask me for money to use their product, I used it to my heart's content and then I purchased the subscription willingly. Descript AI asked me money after 60 media minutes. Cons I wish it could understand Maltese, being a native Maltese speaker with other attendees that speak Maltese at times during calls would improve the summary. Pros I especially like how quickly the recordings are saved and sent to my email just a few minutes after my meetings. The prompt delivery makes it very convenient to review and keep track of everything. Cons What I liked least is that when you schedule a meeting and take too long to log in, the recording sometimes takes a few minutes to reconnect to the meeting. This delay can be a bit inconvenient. Cons Introduction of additional subscription costs to AI credits to create multiple versions of the notes. It doesn't translate multiple languages. It's a useful and productive tool for meetings. Pricing is reasonable. The ability to search meetings is very handy, and the fact that you can replay meetings to check what is said is extremely handy. Pros Very useful AI to attend video meetings and record what is said. It arrives very soon after the meeting finishes. The transcript is reasonbly accurarte, and can be edited anyway. It is easy to scroll through and find what you're looking for. The summaries and action points are very useful. It's very handy to share with clients and means you don't need a separate note-taker in the meeting. This allows discussions to occur dynamically and fluidly without having to stop to note anything. Cons Having to bring Fred back into a meeting that goes beyond 2 hours. March 9, 2026 5.0 Overall, I really like Fireflies. So much so, that I have a paid subscription. The Ai features are a good selling point, and the fact that I can record meetings on my phone and have Fireflies transcribe it is a plus. I would recommend this notetaking app to anyone. Especially those with ADHD like me, who tend to miss fine, granular details or whose executive dysfunction weakens their recall abilities significantly. It's a real gamechanger. Pros I like the accuracy of the recordings and transcripts. My favorite feature is that it summarizes the meetings and gives you an outline of your action items. This is particularly helpful. Cons My least favorite thing is that I cannot add Fireflies to an unscheduled/unplanned meeting in Teams. I can only invite Fireflies, but unplanned Teams calls don't typically have a way to invite participants via email. It's become an essential part of my workflow, and I genuinely can't imagine working without it now. Cons There was an incident where a private conversation belonging to someone else was shared with me, even though it had nothing to do with me, and it was sent to my clients. Fireflies has you covered 5 stars Pros It is very handy because I can pass along needed follow up information in a snap. I can miss meetings and still be able to follow up on questions that I need to answer. My favorite thing is action items spelled out like little reminders of things you will most likely forget to do! Cons I don't like when FIre Flies shares the meeting notes through email and requires non members to sign in to fire flies I have had several people say they don't have an account so I can't see the notes. Cons Nothing, it's been great for our business and great for improving accountability in the team. People can actually talk during meetings now instead of worrying about who is taking what notes. Notes are then filtered and added to our meeting notes template and provided to all attendees. Pros It's a big time saver! I'm working in sales and really like how Fireflies can support me in my administrative tasks. It creates summaries of my convo's and also I can use the transcripts for other purposes, like creating more in depts summaries for my customers. Cons There is not really a heavy con of this tool. The only thing that I am missing now is an integration with other tools like HubSpot for example. Pros Fireflies makes it extremely easy to capture, structure, and revisit conversations without manual effort. The automatic transcriptions are accurate, summaries save a lot of time, and the ability to search across meetings creates real long term value for teams that rely on conversations to move work forward. Cons Some advanced features take a bit of time to fully understand, especially when setting up workflows and integrations. Following up on meetings with notes has always been a struggle. Not anymore! Not only are my meeting notes a breeze, but I can be more present in the meeting because I'm not worried about capturing everything that is said. Cons Sometimes it can be really hard to remove from a meeting. It is very hard to know who has access to transcripts which can get dicey when you're dealing with sensitive topics.
