So easy to use with both Teams and Zoom and the accuracy was beyond my expectations. I rely on the summaries it produces which are done as I would have summarised a meeting. Voice/speaker recognition is great too. I compared Fireflies to three other products and on paper it was slightly ahead however when i cam to trial them - it was much further ahead. It integrates seamlessly into my meeting schedule without friction, and the autogenerated synopses, action items, and follow-up task lists are usually spot-on and genuinely useful. Pros I loved the ability to upload audio and get an accurate transcript. The synopsis was succinct and easy to navigate. Cons It seemse like What I like least about Fireflies.ai is the value proposition compared to other transcription tools on the market. While Fireflies does a solid job with meeting transcription, summaries, and searchable notes, it’s increasingly hard to justify paying for it when there are other products offering very similar transcription quality and features for free or at a much lower cost. Many platforms now provide basic AI transcription, timestamps, speaker identification, and even summaries without putting core functionality behind a paywall. This makes Fireflies feel less competitive, especially for individual users, freelancers, or small teams who don’t need heavy CRM integrations or enterprise features. November 10, 2025 5.0 Today, I had a troubleshooting incident where the meeting notes from a meeting were not processed. The stakes were high; it was for a client during a discovery call. I didn't take any other notes because I had fireflies. The notes didn't process, and I immediately thought I was cooked. I don't have a lot of faith in customer service for SaaS companies, but this team handled my needs within five minutes of my request. I am so appreciative. Pros I appreciate how durable the product is and how it seamlessly integrates into my workflows and tech stacks on Notion. It allows me to stay fully engaged in my meetings, and I receive a summary of key takeaways right afterward. Cons I wish there were a Discord integration. I use that product for internal team communications like I do with Slack, but it doesn't connect to Discord, so we use Google Meets plus Discord for text-based communications. If you integrated with Discord, it would make my tech stack even more streamlined. The "Ask Fred" feature works pretty well, and the AI apps section is useful to anaylze meeting transcripts in specific ways. Cons I'd love it if the website worked consistently in macOS Safari. It saves real time on review. Pros I compared it with Notion AI Notes, Zoom AI Notes, Gemini AI Notes, and a self-hosted Whisper setup. Fireflies keeps the audio and transcript together, and jumping to any part of the text instantly plays the matching audio, which makes reviewing calls fast. The AI notes and summaries (Fred) are exceptionally strong: the extracted takeaways and phrasing are often better than what I get from manually analyzing the same transcript with ChatGPT Pro.
