The platform is very easy to set up and use, the call quality is reliable, and the meeting summaries are accurate and well-structured, which saves me a lot of time in follow-ups. I find the value for money excellent, and the customer support team is always responsive whenever questions arise. Although it is more oriented toward business meetings, it still adapts well to my needs, and I can definitely see its potential for students and educators, too Pros What I liked most about Fireflies is how easy and intuitive it is to use. The call quality is excellent, and the meeting summaries are incredibly accurate, saving me a lot of time. I also appreciate the way the platform organizes and tracks data, making follow-up much easier. The value for money is outstanding. Cons What I liked least about Fireflies is that it seems to be mainly focused on business meetings. As a student who also attends online classes, I think it would be great if there were a version or plan more tailored to academic use. Cons the summarization sucks actually but I have ChatGPT and Gemini for it so it is not much of an issue. Also it has a lot of features we didn't think of ourselves. If we had a good call with a lead, cliënt or colleague, Fireflies is able to turn this over in eductional documents. Pros It's also availiable in Dutch and has many features besides taking notes of conversations. For instance if we have internal meetings, all todo's we've talked about and decided will be put in Jira as issues. Cons Though the notes in Dutch are better then most other competitors, it's not always 100% accurate. Hopefully they will keep improving this. December 13, 2025 5.0 So far, it has been excellent, and whilst I have been using it for over 12 months, there is still a lot more I could be doing. Pros This has been a game-changer. Recording all meetings and having summaries and actions has saved hours and enabled me to be so much more efficient. The fact that customer meetings are added to my Zoho CRM automatically is a real bonus. Cons Zoho Meetings is not supported, which is a bit of an issue, although most meetings are on Teams. I do not always find what I am looking for and can take a bit of time, but more likely me. Overall a good experience! Pros The transcripts are accurate in both English and my native language Dutch. I have used it for language like Czech successful too. The summaries are just convenient. Cons I would be great to integrate it more into zoom for live transcripts, but I haven't been able to figure this out. You have your tasks; you can create proposals; you can come back and reference it a week later; you can zap it, automate it; it's great. Pros I just signed up about a month ago. I really prefer this over Zoom because Zoom automatically does a meeting summary, and I really prefer to have the full transcript and JSON and the option to do a meeting summary. The tool is very easy to use and easy to sync up with my Google account so that recordings can automatically start and I have records of all notes that I need post-interviews with candidates or important calls with teams. Accuracy is good and summary tends to be on point. What is particularly good is the chrome extension for use with google-meet that stops having a place on the screen being taken up by a bot. Cons the extension only works in google meet. in person meetings are still not where they need to be for this to taken up fully across my business. Its becoming an essential part of my workflow. I find that I am more engaged in client calls when I don't have to take notes and Fireflies does a much better job than I. Pros Works seamlessly with online meetings and I also use it to record my initial phone conversations with clients. I simply use a noise cancelling speakerphone and good quality microphone. The AI summaries are excatly what I need and I use them frequently to refresh my memory of prior conversations. I also like the live transcription which allows me to go back and clarify something that was said prior Cons They dont give enough AI credits for the membership levels. Its a bit confusing to use at the beginng but once you are up and running its great. It helps me reference old conversations and summarize the important information (with a little prompting). One of my favourite parts of Firefly is that I can have genuine conversations without worrying about taking notes. Pros The positives are the ease of use and connectivity on any platform. The biggest benefit for me is that ability to chat with the AI assistant to really narrow down on the key information I need to consider as I end up talking to a lot of departments and the conversation is not always pertinent to my department. Cons I think the summary system is a bit underdeveloped; what I mean is that Firefly summarizes the entire meeting for me. However, there are many parts of the meetings that are not relevant to my tasks, and while a little background doesn't hurt, it sometimes prioritizes the fluff and omits the important discussion for my department. That said, the easy fix is to use the AI assistant built into Firefly and ask it to extract the relevant information. Review Source Chris W. Pros Fireflies is vastly superior to my phone's native voice recording software. Even in the free tier, differentiating between speakers saves me so much time when processing my meeting notes. Cons One challenge to fireflies is the AI generated summary. 90% of the time it is accurate and organized, but there have been a few times where it has lumped some things in with other parts of the conversation that were incorrect. My primary example of this: a peer shared a personal example of an event with me as an illustration for the conversation we were having about similar events that I was hosting. The Fireflies summary assumed the example was something that happened under my leadership; the transcript didn't really give room for that. I have it available on both my computer and phone and can start recording quickly as I step into a meeting. It summarizes and provides action items by individual, which is very helpful. I also receive a prep email an hour before any recurring meeting that Fireflies is invited to, with a recap of the previous meeting and discussion points for the upcoming meeting. Cons If using the phone app, you have to leave the app open and not allow your screen to lock so the recording gets uploaded. Upload time on the phone app takes longer than I prefer. Sometimes the names get jumbled or are incorrect on the transcript. This is an easy edit and fix, but something to look out for depending on your need for accuracy and professionalism.
