If not for Trememdouus I would either not be able to reward my team or it would create complex financial problems between countries. After losing a few in the mail, I found Tremendous and it solved my problem. E gift cards at your fingertips sent right to work emails saved me quite a bit of time and headache. Pros Ease of use to send out mass employee recognition rewards. I like that it saves the emails you used previously so you don't have to re-type. The csv file upload feature is nice too. Cons Honestly, I'm just mad I didn't find it earlier. The feature works flawlessly. There is a service fee, which is perhaps a bit higher than it should be, but the time saving out weighs the cost. Pros The number of foreign currencies and the number of reward options available in each country drastically simplify the process of getting customer incentives out in a timely manner, without worrying about where your customers live. Cons There are still countries missing here and there where you may have customers. I have needed to occasionally go off platform to reward a customer when their country was not available. But, this is still the best service out there in terms of coverage. It is great for recognition and allows you to reach people globally. You can customize the color and branding and include a note, which makes it more personable than just sending a generic gift card. Pros It is very easy to use and distribute gift cards globally. It covers almost every employee we have tried to send a gift to. It is quick, easy, and allows us to customize the product. Additionally, it's great that they can choose what reward works best for them! Cons I don't love that we can't put an end date on the reward so if they don't claim it within a certain time period, we get the money back. We use it to send rewards to testers who help us with internal product feedback and user experience. Pros We like the variety of options for our testers. We also like that there is international coverage and we don’t need to worry about where people are located to get their reward. Cons The US has more gift card options than other countries, but at least Amazon is available for almost anywhere else which people like. The billing system is set up with SME businesses in mind. We're able to generate an invoice that our billing team can then use to deposit funds into the Tremendous account. This saves us transfer fees as well as pay out fees. We also appreciate being able to track each transaction for accounting purposes Cons There isn't anything I don't like about this platform because it solved a rather small but inconvenient problem for us of sending reward cash to market research participants around the world without incurring fees or long delays. Reason for choosing Tremendous We looked at Visa cards and other alternatives but they all had fees, and as a non-profit organization we really wanted to avoid unnecessary spending. Allows for quick turnaround on customization and deployment. Cons There are some limited features across the platform/lack of customization. Of most concern is the limited ability to provision different types of users and their associated level of access. Some of this is available, but I wish there was more customization available to limit certain users from certain actions. Also, there is no discount for using Tremendous. Pros Easily accessible for recipients Creating "campaigns" to help organize distribution Tracking for individual teams Ability to pull reports on different "campaigns" Variety of gift cards and ability to turn on and off certain categories Text or email options to send gift cards Cons The user interface can feel, at times, bulky/cumbersome. Setup was easy because we just had to create a few templates and then send them. Pros Tremendous makes is stupid-easy to send rewards internationally. We have an international user base and needed a way to send our referral bonuses anywhere. We love that our users get to chose rewards to vendors that are local to them. Cons We have no insight into whether a reward has been redeemed or not. This is frustrating because it's possible that rewards are going unredeemed, and we do not get refunds for those. I really wish there was a way to see the status of a reward.
