I then use Tableau desktop to access the data source and create various reports. At first it took a bit of trial of error plus the Devart support team, to setup the DSN. Then faced some issues reading the dbf files, since I had no direct access to fox pro db, but through an Azzure mapping, which contained the timesheet dfb files. But we got it to work. The Database path must include the \\\\ UNC approach and not the letter drive of the mapped share. Or it won't work. Pros Value for money. For less than $200 per year, you can't beat it. Customer Support is very responsive. Although they may be in a different time zone. Cons Ease of use. It takes a bit of work to set up the database path. Pros The Devart ODBC Driver for Salesforce is a very reliable, well-performing product. Cons Some of the SQL code you need to write can be a bit confusing to grasp at first. Switched from [CData Drivers](https://www.capterra.com/p/203124/CData-Python-Connectors/) The cost of the DBAmp software became prohibitively expensive when they changed their pricing model. Good price and documentation, but I can't get them to work, so basically a waste of money for me. Pros So far, the only thing that I have liked about the product was the price and the fact that I could buy a perpetual license. There is rather good extensive documentation, and the AI Bot is amazing. Cons I have not been able to get them to work well on my older computer, and I have been unable to get them to work at all on my new Laptop. So, even though it was a good price, the money is essentially wasted, because I am getting no use of the product. I was able to install the Devart ODBC drivers and create ODBC connections and eliminate the issue with little effort. Pros The Devart ODBC drivers were very easy to install and I was instantly able to get to the schemas I needed in out Postgres databases to be able to write reports on needed data. Cons I can not think of any cons for the Devart ODBC drivers. It just works. Reasons for choosing Devart ODBC Drivers Least expensive and best instructions for what I needed to accomplish. They don't get tired when I ask for much explanations. The driver functionality is enough for me currently because the team added what I felt was missing in my view. Now the issue is the cost of using the driver(s). The explanations I got from the technical staff was conflicting about what license I need in a network setting. Till now I have not understood that Pros The software connects really fast. The team added functionality as I needed/requested them. The 'PACK' functionality as well as the 'LIKE' statement I requested and they added really brought me close to this driver. I love it and have made it my standard. Cons The problem I have is that when I have to implement my software in a networked environment, I have to buy 2 licenses i.e. the Desktop and the Server licenses. And the licenses are expensive.
