We're able to get a realistic look at what we have going in the coming weeks, plus we're able to adjust projects months in advance based on everyone's capacity. Pros I love being able to keep track of what my team is working on and get live updates as they finish projects. We're able to plan long-term by linking Planyway with our Trello project management systems. The integrations are the icing on the cake. We’ll be using it for years to come! Cons We would like to see the desktop software show both the weekly view and lists view at the same time. May 27, 2021 4.0 Overall, planyway has allowed us to keep our scheduling on track with our remote teams in the field, on a daily basis. Pros We love how this integrates with Trello to ensure our google calendar syncs up with every change made to our Trello cards. It has been nice to be able to assign tasks to specific people, and track deadlines. However, navigating the actual process is a little clunky, and I prefer our own in-house tools for planning. There are some concepts I intend to take into future planning sessions, but if I had my way I wouldn't use Planyway to plan a project again. Pros I like that it serves as a venue to promote planning/pull planning, and the integration with Trello is nice. Cons My biggest complaint with using this software is it is not very streamlined when it comes to planning. It's difficult to see the full task, I can't assign a duration, and there is no option to see the full project timeline so I waste time trying to get to the right week. Pros The ability to see all my scheduled cards in various layouts, month, 3 days, etc. Cons I cannot seem to book time with my clients from the Planaway calendar functions meant to sync with Google. I Heavily depend on Trello and the ability to maintain all of my due dates across Trello and all my calendars onto a master calendar saves me so much time and increases productivity. Cons it’s frustrating and haven’t found the solution yet.. when syncing with google calendar, it creates a duplicate entry as it imports as an ‘event’ and then under ‘scheduled’ (that’s the name of the board it’s on in trello). for some reason it takes the first day of any item as an event and rest of the multi day item is listed under the scheduled calendar. just makes for many duplicate events all over my google calendar. Of course, you must take the time to do it and organise your Trello board afterwards, but as a freelancer it helps keep everything in line. I've only scratched the surface of what Planyway can do and fully satisfied. Their blog is also a very helpful resource for any questions I have. Pros I really enjoy the seamless Trello and Google Calendar integrations. Everything sync's up fast with no hiccups. I scrapped all my other Trello add-ons for this one as it contains everything I need. Cons Sharing the project to non-users is a fairly tedious process for them. A lot of steps which I believe are necessary, but only comfortable sharing with freelancers. It's a little demanding for clients. BUT, the google calendar sync makes it a viable way to share roadmaps. Reason for choosing Planyway Planyway is the first add-on I tried as it was the most popular in the list. I also like how we can put cards from all boards onto one calendar. Cons I want to be able to delete a date from a event on Planyway. Pros I would not be using Trello without Planyway to supplement its features. It is excellent - the ability to structure a day with tasks (or simply organize a list of day by day tasks) has become an essential tool for my organization. Price is just right, as well, since it has to compete with the additional cost of Trello. Cons I think greater access directly to the card features would be very helpful - especially things like checklists. The way i can just visualize my tasks in my schedule and bring it with me when i am on my mobile device really helps me get organized Pros I loved how i was able to drag and drop my cards into a calendar. That, and how it seamlessly integrates with my google calendar is a godsend. Cons The re-occuring tasks can be a bit confusing to check off as done and archive. every time i want to archive one instance of the task, i always have to manually confirm that i want to do it for this one particular task. Every other optino I tried enabled me to have a task list, but I had to create events if I wanted to put them on the calendar. With planyway I can have one list, viewed as a task list in Trello, but as events in Planyway. I have searched a lot of software options to find the exact solution I was looking for, and Planyway finally enabled me to do what I needed.
