February 2, 2021 5.0 I don’t know how I got anything done before Planyway. Oh, that’s right, I didn’t! I starting using Trello to organize and plan out my long term projects and tasks. I added Planyway to us it’s calendar feature which added the functionality to add start dates and view all my boards on a calendar simultaneously. It has totally changed and greatly improved how I organize my day, week, month, and quarters and makes staying on task so much easier! It makes it easier to work together in teams and with other departments, especially in times of the Corona. Pros Because I can use Trello better for project management (timeline). Cons More colors or additional icons to differentiate between the individual projects. Reason for choosing Planyway So I can use it with Trello. Changes are easy and the color coding makes it great for organization. Cons My only complaint is that the checklist capabilities disappeared but I think it is because it was the trial version. We needed a way to rough out and iterate on timelines for each of the teams at our company and this has worked perfectly for that. It's great being able to easily adjust the timescale. Cons To this point, I have been using Planyway for timelines only, and it does a very good job at that. We can communicate upcoming needs for dozens of constantly changing elements to make sure resources are allocated. Quite simply, the trains run on time because of Planyway. Pros By using List Lanes, we can see everything laid out by day, by show and by deliverable all in one screen that is easy to change and replicate for upcoming shows. Pros Planyway is easy to use and intergarates well with an existing Trello board. I like the flexibility, you can easily adjust timelines on the Gantt chart and even add in new tasks. It make tracking project milestones easy as you are able to see the appraching. As a user from an organization implementing various projects, I also found the option for viewing different projects at once very useful especially when you are sharing resources and need to know pressure periods on other projects. I use it mostly to manage my own projects for myself, but I can see how it would be useful for a team setting. Pros I like that I can sync Planyway to my Google Calendar. This is a really important integration for me as Google Products really own my life. I also like how detailed I can get with customizations for repetitions for events or tasks. I like everything about it, it's very easy to use and makes things much clear Pros I like that I can very easily plan and manage my calendar, my events, and it's implemented into trello Cons Well, I'm from Slovakia so I would welcome support of some of our usual characters (š, ď, ť, ľ, ž, ......) because one of the fonts in planyway doesn't support them and it makes it ugly. I can see the amazing potentials of doing project timeplans with the project teams through Planyway.. but it will never work as long as Planyway is only accessible from inside Trello.. its hard enough to get people to use Trello. Pros That I can put start and end date on my tasks in Trello and that it can make a 2-way-syncronisation with Google Calendar (would be amazing if it could do a 2-way-sync with other calendars). Cons the biggest minus for Planyway is that it has to be ran inside of a Trello board. If it became a software on its own either on web or as an app or desktop software, this would make the use of it much more accessible and easier. Reason for choosing Planyway because of the pricing. The most powerful tool for us is how easy we can organize tasks by relevance (priorities on top always) and by colours (each colour is a different person who is responsible). Cons The biggest struggle with this software is the inability to use it on my phone easily. It is definitely made to be used on a laptop or home computer more than on a cell phone. Most importantly, that it refreshes in your Google calendar when the calendar event changes instead of having to sync your calendar every time.
