I've been very happy with SpotOn, from implementation to support and everything in between.

Pros

The software and hardware are all very sleek and easy to use. SpotOn provides an array of helpful reports on the backend, and the fact that I can make real-time changes makes things much easier when we need to make adjustments to the menu on the fly.

Cons

We find that it's not always easy to process a refund or adjust payments electronically in the moment. Tech support, however, is responsive in helping us resolve the issue.

Easygoing experience to learn being this was our first system ever ALL and I mean ALL staff for company is helpful, 24/7 and has resolved our user error questions within sec / min System is so easy to use

Cons

From going to no system previously, we haven’t found cons besides not getting the system sooner!

Sales reps awesome..1st on-site trainer terrible, however the 2nd person was awesome

Pros

Mobile access, handhelds, BOH ease of use and customer service is great.

Cons

Less steps when opening new tabs. Give more training and have a trainer that listens to your needs verses just going by a " in the box" demo.

We have really enjoyed being with SpotOn. The biggest reason we enjoy it is because of the great customer service from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. He is very responsive and quick to fix any issues we may be experiencing which is crucial when you have a restaurant full of customers. It's also a user friendly system for my employees.

Pros

My favorite feature of the software is the online reporting and tools to view and analyze orders.

Cons

The only difficult thing with the way our restaurant is set up is entering tips. We are unable to enter tips while the order is open and being used. Instead we have to navigate to our order list and enter after the transaction has disappeared which is more time consuming and harder to manager when you have a line of customers.

We cared greatly about user friendliness and customer support which is what drove us to switch away from Micros.

This is a product that has made us see how antiquated and inefficient our old system really was! We also have a much higher level of security with this system as we had several fraud chargebacks with our old system. Now we are secure with SpotOn!

Pros

We love the ease of use & being able to change and manage our menus, website and also have the direct online ordering to save huge $$ by customers ordering directly they use instead of a 3rd party app! The terminals are sleek and adaptable to our business needs.

Cons

A few minor bumps getting it all going, but with the exceptional customer support we are now smooth sailing!!!

The reason we went with spoton, was their salesperson, and she is no longer with them.

Cons

It is not intuitive and needs a lot of work. Different dashboards for different departments is a pain.

The online ordering with direct tickets to kitchen and bar is a huge advantage this system has. It had increased both revenue and efficiency.

We have been very pleased so far and have chosen to use in another new business.

Pros

The software is very user friendly for staff as well as an administrator being able to adjust and make changes. The emaginePOS reporting app is also a valuable tool as an owner from ability to track sales and reports for employee time and credit card tips for payroll.

Cons

Staff would like if there was an option for lunch screen to disappear after lunch and not be all combined.

The software is extremely easy to use Also it is simple to teach to new employees. The customer service representatives are easy to get hold of and are always extremely helpful.

There should be a way to add to an entree after it has been sent to the kitchen.

Pros

I love how easy it is to customize things. I think working with the Spot On team has been very easy and they are very helpful. When we have been in need of assistance they have been there for us within minutes, and that has been really helpful. I think its important that you can customize it. Every business is different - It is not a classic point of sale system I think it goes beyond that.

Cons

I would say the thing I like least about it would be nothing.

Smooth functionality for front of house

Cons

The back of house for soot on restaurant is hard to navigate at first. The modifiers are clunky and you have to really know the order of operation to properly set up a item and one minor setting not selected could keep the entire item from functioning

I am a 3 star Michelin chef, so I would say they are 3 star Michelin as well.

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] got me started, and convinced me it was better for my business. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] were great at helping me implement and set up everything. From back office, digital marketing, built our website to take orders off of. The programming is great to allow you to do more tasks with better trained staff. And the customers have a positive reaction.

Cons

Not anything so far, but they are very responsive when you call, if something does come up?

We love our rep, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. We are happy with our POS but wish we had more training on end of day because this affects us knowing how much cash we have/should have.

I like the reporting part of the app and the ease that my staff can solve issues like splitting checks or adding guests.

Cons

The end of day reporting. Our system seems glitchy and no one can give us answers but says no way it's glitchy.
