We have been blown away with how easy it is to use, the fast go-live time, and the benefits we are already seeing. We are receiving more and more online orders, and are saving money through the cash discount program.

Pros

My personal favorite aspects of the SpotOn Restaurant POS system is how easily my staff picked it up. Everyone had it down after one day. On top of that, with the cash discounting, we are saving tons of money.

Cons

The only things we have had issues with is the cc fees being charged to gift card payments, and not having an app for mobile authorizations for Android. I have an iphone and that app works perfectly, but my assistant has android. Any and all minor issues have always been fixed extremely fast.

As an Owner of a restaurant, I am pulled in a million directions every day. There is no room for programming menus, promos and pricing events in my day. Knowing I can reach out to \[sensitive content hidden\] in a moments notice to take that off my plate, frees me up to spend my limited time on higher level activities. I trust him to accomplish what I need accurately and in a timely fashion.

Cost of equipment that sits unused for months of the year due to seasonality.

Pros

Nothing, staff doesn’t like it, customer service is the worst in amy industry ive ever been in and ive owned over 100 business's in my career.

Cons

Everything! Worst service from top to bottom ive ever experienced on a consistent basis.

It's been great lately now that we have an excellent rep that is there to support us. We were with Emagine POS when it first started so our company got left in the dust when SpotOn bought Emagaine. We weren't processing CC payments with SpotOn so we fell to the bottom of the barrel at that time.

Pros

It's easy to set up menu Item's and adjust screens

Cons

Finding knowledgeable support can sometimes be difficult. Having a great rep has made this a lot easier. General Support is usually a miss.

I have worked with spoton for more than two years and I can tell that the terminal and software are reliable. I have never had an issue with them and whenever I have a question I contact \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and he is there to help. I have changed a couple of things in spoton and the level of response is fast. I can highly recommend it for any small and medium business.

Friendly use for not experienced people. And availability to use on phone and computer

Cons

That is not free. I pretty much like everything from this product

our biggest problem was our level of customer service regarding order entry. Spot on solved a lot of these issues. Overall once Spot on was implemented and the bugs worked out it has been a great product.

Pros

The pros for our application -Being able to program a large menu and the software allowing modifications to menu items -QR code integration was huge win for customers being able to order and pay outside -Front facing displays work well and easy to use -Instacheckmate feature for seamless order entry -Overall support has been prompt with only a few glitches

Cons

Cons -We have had a few interruptions in service due to upgrade issues. I think mamangement took note that upgrades during midday rush was not a good time to upgrade systems -Gift cards require a seperate reader -it would be nice if menu modifier groups could have option displayed with the list of modifiers hiden unless the group is pressed -Has there been an update where we can retrieve speed of service reports based on the pos send time dn the order bump time

Overall experience is great- customer service and troubleshooting is fantastic.

Pros

SpotOn Reporting is incredibly impactful and allows for a easy snapshot of all things on the reporting end! The POS interface in incredibly intuitive and therefore makes training employees easy and efficient.

Cons

I wish we could push third party delivery orders directly through SpotOn ... a feature that we hope is coming!

We had a great experience with Spoton. \[sensitive content hidden\] our technician who stayed with us for 3 days was very helpful and patient with us.

Pros

The POS system was very easy to learn. Took me about 2 days to get it. Easy to and faster to close at night. Less paperwork to put away at night. My employees love it.

Cons

letters need to be bigger and bold on the receipt. Also, our delivery services like Doordash, Uber, Postmate, and Grubhub words need to be bigger on the ticket and darker.

### "Good and Not-so-good "

Our rep has been very accessible. The system provides much useful information. Responses to tech support has been prompt, but not always able to help with problems.

Pros

Accurate and quick information about sales and labor is very helpful. Accumulation of customer information is also very helpful.

Cons

Communicating with customers via email and push notifications has been challenging. Ease of use of this feature would greatly improve our business, and I wish we'd have been aware of this difficulty beforehand. There is only one useful highlighting feature; the others are too dark to be useful. The push notifications (sending text messages to customers) worked for two weeks. After that and several calls to tech support it is still not workable - it's been 3 weeks!

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] with SpotOn is our sales representative and has provided excellent onsite service. Every issue and question has been answered or addressed within hours if not minutes. The customer service team has been on top of any issue that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] could not personally handle. They are timely and informative. I can't say enough good about this company and software. A true breathe of fresh air!!!

Pros

SpotOn is easy to teach, easy to use and easy to customize on the fly for our daily changing business. After using another Restaurant POS system this one is what we should have started with. Wasted a ton of money with another vendor prior to finding SpotOn. This one integrates with my Payroll company seamlessly. The online ordering platform used was ridiculously easy and provides a more polished seamless look for my company.

Cons

I have not found a con with this software. It is exactly what my business needed.

This is the absolute worst customer service experience I have had in 35 years in the restaurant business. The software has basic programing glitches that no one can answer to. Everyone you deal with throws their colleagues under the bus. No one knows anything about the system and they place blame on the last guy. No one has a sense of urgency. They think you have infinite time to help them troubleshoot basic programing glitches they have in their system...beware of the bs promises

Pros

I liked what they promised.... but it is too slow to work in a busy restaurant. Too many issues with basic programing and execution and no solutions

Cons

Everything is a headache and in reality and real time too many glitches and screwups...lost orders...error messages. There are glitches in basic programing

### "Progressive POS"

In the 6 months of using Spot On I have been more than pleased with the advancement of technology for this POS system. Coming from the older time of Aloha and Micros I have never used a POS that has created such ease for daily reporting, managing sales and labor, daily employee maintenance, menu maintenance, employee on-boarding, daily projections, and future forecasting . The real time feature that allows you to instantly make changes to any platform of the system allows for no lost time which is crucial in a high volume restaurant. The support team has been excellent with a level of personal attention that has always fallen through the cracks with other POS systems.

Pros

Progressive, accurate, and efficient point of sale technology.

Cons

The fact that I can do anything remotely LOL! Only a con that if I have personal time away from the restaurant they know I can access all systems and make any daily changes or admin that needs to be done but at the same time being able to sit on a beach and to do payroll isn't so bad :)

Personal relationship was the first thing that attracted me to Spot On, the whole integration sales team and their personal investment in the restaurant and my satisfaction was remarkable. After using the system it was a no brainer that Spot On was the POS for my restaurant.

I can not say ENOUGH good things about this system! But after 8 years of Oracle 7, E7 and Micros... I knew the Postec Help Desk people by name. I literally had to call them atleast one a week or more. Since we have unplugged it I have not looked back! SpotOn is user friendly (even for us older) staff members. The handhelds making ordering and paying a breeze. All reports are easy to read. I love I can check on my business anytime from my phone! This system has been a game changer for me.

Cons

It has a lot of different filter boxes. Although I set up the system, it takes me a minute to find appropriate commands. It has a lot of options!

Its been great. Great sales support and continued support from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been a great partner to work with through all of this which is crucial when doing this type of switchover.

Pros

It brought our retail stores into the modern times. With barcode scanners, inventory tracking, and item movement reports it is much easier to run the store remotely.

Cons

The time to onboard however this is inevitable when switching from a manual cash register to a smart POS system.

This is the worst I ever experienced. They agreed to pay my cancelation fee from another credit card processing company and after I switched to Spoton, they never reimbursed me the fee. I called many times including speaking with the manager \[sensitive content hidden\] but still never call back nor responded.

Pros

This company is a scam. Never honor what they promised.

Cons

Never use this scam company. Always ignored customer requests.

The phone help support is amazing and they are readily available for assistance. My only complaint is that I don't have an account executive and if I do I can't reach them i have been trying for months and still can not get assistance. The general support has sent emails but no one reaches our.

Credit card processing deposits and reports are off all the time. I have a spreadsheet I use to tie out the amounts reportedly paid by credit card and deposited into our account.

Pros

The customer service team is excellent! Calls are answered quickly by your knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Cons

It does not connect data to quickbooks so we have to use a bridge app.

Reason for choosing SpotOn

We were originally told SpotOn would connect date to QuickBooks. Chip scan feature for credit card processing.
