Overall, I really enjoyed this software besides the slow customer service response time. If that would have been improved, I would have stuck with this software permanently. I love how easy it is to use and how it manages transactions so well.

Pros

This software made it a lot easier for us to record transactions and manage everything pertaining to them in one place. I loved how simple it was to use and train other employees to use.

Cons

I did not like how slow the customer service was to respond to issues. It took a long time to get an issue fixed once and it was detrimental to business.

I like the ease of its use. I like that we can take tap and chip payments. I love that when we do have an issue \[sensitive content hidden\] helps us resolve our issue in a timely manner. He does not give up when we run into issues.

Lack of payroll integration with Paylocity.

### "POS Bar"

Of all the POS systems that I have worked with in the restaurant atmosphere it is pretty user friendly I feel. The Front of House usability is way easier than the BOH.

Pros

For Front of House the POS system is very user friendly and self explanatory!

Cons

For someone that has not been trained on the system it is a little difficult to just jump in and know how to use and use it accurately. Thank God for \[sensitive content hidden\] who is kind enough to do weekly meetings with me to get through the learning process. He does a great job!

Excellent. The SpotOn team has been nothing short of helpful in getting us up and running.

Pros

\- Sales and Install team were extremely helpful - Onsite training was very well done

Cons

There is still some confusion about reporting/deposits when compared to Square, which is the system I was previously using. Also could use some additional features when it comes to invoicing.

Pros

I like the user friendliness of the system. I love that training on the system was a breeze for my staff and the back of the house training was stellar and so easy to so.

Cons

Nothing yet. We have only had the system for 3 weeks, and as of today I haven't noticed any cons.

Because, I research everything, I talked to other establishments with these products and was told they were terrible.

### "Nightmare from day 1"

Not good.. I do not recommend!!

Pros

The virtual terminal was fairly easy to use.

Cons

We also had them develop a logo and website for us and the first logo they sent us looked like a 12 year hand drawn, shadow text of our business name. Not creative to say the least. We ended up paying someone within the company that is familiar with PhotoShop to design it. I have asked over and over to have our contact info changed and they say it's done, but reverts back to old info. Trying to cancel the service was as painful as setting up. They keep charging us even though we canceled well over a month ago.

### "Bait and switch "

Hands down the worst experience with a POS company I have ever had. There are so many options out there don’t get sold by this company.

Pros

It’s easy to and and modify new menu items.

Cons

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with any POS company. Implementation and set up was a complete disaster. Still haven’t gotten our training call and have now been installed almost 2 weeks. Can’t issue refunds to customers without a 3 days period which is unacceptable. And so much more.

Very poor. Their "experts" gave incorrect information. Set up was a nightmare. The system functionality never got to what was promised. We were promised that all POS equipment could be returned for a full refund. We returned four POS units and have still not received the refund for the fourth unit (after three months and several phone calls and emails). We were promised that the refund would be processed but it has not and now phone calls and emails are not being returned. DO NOT TRUST this company.

Pros

Certain features that were promised. Two-Tier pricing.

Cons

Functionality . Many features did not work as promised and could not be customized to meet our needs.

We switched from NCR Aloha in the middle of the COVID Pandemic - There ability to get us up and running with the POS and On Line Ordering was a a life-line!

Overall I have enjoyed using SpotOn and learning about all the functionality.

Pros

I love the seamless integration with online ordering as well as the marketing capabilities. The BOH user interface is also fairly simplistic and allows for on-the-fly customization & implementation.

Cons

The Front-facing CC reader is almost TOO advanced for some diners and also requires a manual batch close after about 10-14 days of use.

As i mentioned above the support from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been the best! He always goes above and beyond for us. I can’t thank him enough.

Pros

The best thing about spot on is how easy it is to get ahold of somone from support to walk you through any problem you may have. When we first switch to spot on it took some getting used to and I had a ton of questions and lots of training, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was always just a zoom call away. He would answer all my questions throughly as well as record them so I could use it as a reference again.

Cons

My least favorite is not being able to attach a credit card to an order. We can pre-auth a card though. This is something I was told would be hopefully fixed in the future.

Great experience, even when they had a payment processing system outage that was not SpotOn's fault they issued a fair credit for sales loss. "What company does that?" Amazing ... makes you feel like they are in it for the long haul and clearly values their customers.

Pros

Cloud based. POS restaurant features, ease of use, support, reporting capabilities.

Cons

some refreshes of back office changes reflected in reporting has issues.

Companies direction, well funded, based out of Silicon Valley, support is out of this world.

True, cloud POS with the flexibility to run on a myriad of different hardware devices. It just works. Low-maintenance and reliable even at high-volume restaurants. An innovative and evolving platform that adapts quickly to the changing needs of the restaurant industry. Transparent pricing with no long-term contracts. The sales and implementation teams were there every step of the way. User-friendly. Training our service teams was simple and exciting. Robust suite of features: DoorDash Drive, Waitlist/Reservation Management, Online Ordering, Marketing/Loyalty.

Cons

Would like a more robust first-party delivery module and/or more delivery integrations and more best-in-breed integrations in general.

I love the ability to access all of our reports and access the BOH from anywhere. Now that it is all cloud-based it allows for greater transparency and the ability to make changes or adjustments from anywhere and at any time.

Pros
