I am creating projects for business opportunities as we speak! Pros Synthesia is a great platform! It allows someone to become and avatar! All the years of shooting great videos, hair, make up, the right lighting- GONE! This is a platform of the future! Cons I think their video creation platform could use some work. Then when they introduced the new plans, my account did not show any more online. Because of this, I could not cancel and they took seven hundred dollars from me when I did not want to renew. I feel like they stole my money. Pros Intuitive. I actually liked the service a lot. Cons Billing charged me for renewal automatically for a full year that I did not want. Support was an Ai bot that told me the charge was non-refundable. What a ripoff! I did not want to continue with the service. I've really enjoyed getting to know how to use this program and can see it's potential for our business needs. Pros Synthesia makes it so easy to produce a polished video that clearly communicates the key points I need to get across in on-demand training programs. The program's intuitive and easy to navigate, especially if you attend the first couple of free orientation training sessions, which the company currently offers live and for free. It's quick and easy to create a script and then tweak and refine that script so it's crisp and pitch perfect. Then it's easy to go in and refine the visuals so they're reinforcing the main points you're making. Cons It would be great if some avatars incorporated hand gestures, rather than just being talking heads. Also, I'd love video clips of different lengths and greater variety. Instead of labour intensive animation, in a fraction of the time, I can get avatars to present content. Pros The variety of avatars and voices is fabulous and the quality is brilliant, really uplifts videos and makes them engaging. Cons Until the video is actually rendered by Synthesia, you don't know for sure, that the avatars are going to pronounce all the words correctly. I use it to create short videos of training. It is easy to use, efficient and time saving ! The translation in many languages is also very useful to create content that are scalable accross all the Group companies. Pros The possibility to create your own avatar, in your surrounding. It looks so real ! Cons The lack of avatars (non personal) with office background. There is only one but the woman avatar looks too old for the type of video I want to create. I'm keen to test with the Studio grade avatar with correct lighting and chromakeying. Pros After assessing with other competitors, I haven't found any who comes close with the right balance of believability and quality of their avatars. The ease of use is also a great plus. I don't need complexity of features right now. For us, it offers true scalability and believability to our videos. We are also looking to scale out to other countries so offering translation capabilities is going to be a massive hit when we do. Cons Workspace needs some work. Inability to share Avatars in an enterprise environment. Although simple to use, and despite my comments earlier, a few extra editing tools would be useful. Being able to add emphasis to specific words over and beyond offering a phonetic spelling. Ability to slow the speach in places would be useful too. Adding pauses is a good compromise, but compromise it is still. The tool is easy to use, fun and very useful for content creation. Is the perfect match to create dynamic videos that keep the attention of the learners. Pros The possibility to create videos and speech in a very fast way. Moreover, since I work in a worldwide company, the possibility to translate every single video in many languages in just one click. Cons The graphical side is very simple and easy to use for everyone. If you need to produce videos quickly, never go for Synthesia. You will eventually end up having to prove that your video is not a scam. Pros It's is intuitive, easy to produce, nice avatars. Cons They frequently do not approve videos due to "Internal Guidelines". The last onde was "Your video was moderated for violating our Financial Solicitation: Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes guideline." My video had NOTHING related to this. And a previous video was approved and almost identical in content to the one that was moderated. The worst part: 24h waiting review, 48h for appeal. It should be easy make an video, and it looks like we're criminals making scum. It's easier to make a real video. Trainer Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Sythesia is Setting a Standard in AI Video Creation" October 3, 2024 4.0 I am thoroughly enjoying the platform, though, it would be nice to get some additional voice controls to slow their pace down. Not sure if you allow SSML tags, but that would be a simple solution until you can do a full feature build (if you wanted to go that route). But I've made several videos on the platform and plan on making many more while I have the minutes. But, unless the Starter plan provides more generative time, I will have to discontinue my account because I just can't afford that. Pros It's very easy to use and the selection of stock assets is incredible! I love how they offer photos, videos, icons, and even music. It helps streamline the process because I just grab most of my stock items directly within my workflow. Also, the voices are the most natural sounding AI voices I've heard so far and I used to have a WellSaid Labs account. They adapt beautifully to the script. Cons There are some editing features that would be nice to see, like additional global controls for editing multiple scenes. Also, there are a lot of connection issues that interrupt my work flow. Some of the models used for the Avatars could be a little better put together to enhance their appearance. Kind of off putting when I am trying to produce a professional video and the person on screen looks like they just rolled out of bed lol. Also, the monthly time limit allotted on the Starter plan is abysmal and waaaaay too low. That alone gives me pause for continuing my subscription long term. It's like creating presentations that are substantially more engaging and scalable. It's a game changer for scaling virtual touchpoints as is the ability to generate a personal avatar. That process was very easy. In the future, I'd like to see feature specific pricing like adding on the exact language needed at an incremental price vs. a larger upgrade for a set of features. My hope is basic analytics will be available for basic tiers. Pros The platform allows my business to maximize efficiency and scale. Cons The cons are related to nuances about the avatars but assume that will continue to be an area of rapid improvement. There is an appeal which seems to automatically turn you down. I make real estate videos, nothing in the least bit controversial, but if I upgrade they may approve them.
