It is easy to create video's and the sales teams love it cause all they need to do is share a link with their customers and prospects. Trainer Computer Software Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Sythesia is Setting a Standard in AI Video Creation" October 3, 2024 4.0 I am thoroughly enjoying the platform, though, it would be nice to get some additional voice controls to slow their pace down. Not sure if you allow SSML tags, but that would be a simple solution until you can do a full feature build (if you wanted to go that route). But I've made several videos on the platform and plan on making many more while I have the minutes. But, unless the Starter plan provides more generative time, I will have to discontinue my account because I just can't afford that. Pros It's very easy to use and the selection of stock assets is incredible! I love how they offer photos, videos, icons, and even music. It helps streamline the process because I just grab most of my stock items directly within my workflow. Also, the voices are the most natural sounding AI voices I've heard so far and I used to have a WellSaid Labs account. They adapt beautifully to the script. Cons There are some editing features that would be nice to see, like additional global controls for editing multiple scenes. Also, there are a lot of connection issues that interrupt my work flow. Some of the models used for the Avatars could be a little better put together to enhance their appearance. Kind of off putting when I am trying to produce a professional video and the person on screen looks like they just rolled out of bed lol. Also, the monthly time limit allotted on the Starter plan is abysmal and waaaaay too low. That alone gives me pause for continuing my subscription long term. Cons The only negative I have is that when new features are released, the system can slow down or appear "buggy," but these issues don't happen often and usually do not interrupt our work. I'm keen to test with the Studio grade avatar with correct lighting and chromakeying. Pros After assessing with other competitors, I haven't found any who comes close with the right balance of believability and quality of their avatars. The ease of use is also a great plus. I don't need complexity of features right now. For us, it offers true scalability and believability to our videos. We are also looking to scale out to other countries so offering translation capabilities is going to be a massive hit when we do. Cons Workspace needs some work. Inability to share Avatars in an enterprise environment. Although simple to use, and despite my comments earlier, a few extra editing tools would be useful. Being able to add emphasis to specific words over and beyond offering a phonetic spelling. Ability to slow the speach in places would be useful too. Adding pauses is a good compromise, but compromise it is still. It works very well and the feedback on using AI for the Hemp industry's videos have been great. Pros The text to speech and selection of real life looking avatars gives the impression that its someone real, in fact many of my peers enquire if the avatar is doing fine, as I give them a name in the videos! The video recording feature is a life-saver, because that removes the image only limit and greatly increases the type of content to present. The many different template layouts also make it an easy to use and choose option. Cons They removed the ability to easily copy the subtitles because even if you draw up a script, once busy with the video editing, the script changes as I make it suit better. Now the subtitles have to be downloaded, which requires an additional download from the internet to find a suitable application to open the subtitles file. As time goes on, these are added to, and with it new features. My experience at creating Synthesia videos has sharpened my grammar skills, because I have realised that after the AI has analysed my script, the avatars speak more naturally and realistically if my script is written properly. Pros Timely use of animations can make Synthesia videos shine. The variety of animations available is pleasing. I also love that stock footage is available to use (videos/still images). Some of the avatars move so naturally (to the AI interpreted hand written script) that i find it hard to remember that they are AI generated. Cons Synthesia frequently release new content and updates, which is great. The trouble is, sometimes it causes my home made uploaded images to be disconnected from video templates that I have placed them in previously. I love the multi-lingual options too, and use these for localising content. Cons A frequent complaint from my clients is that we can't control the cadence of speech in Synthesia. Das ist eine enorme Zeitersparnis, wenn man zwischen drin Coaching-Videos aufnehmen möchte. Cons Das man sich im Vorfeld nicht anschauen kann, wie das fertig Video aussieht. Man kann den Avatren ja verschiedene Sachen zuordnen, wie z.B. die Augenbrauen hochziehen, um eine Textpassage zu betonen. Das würde ich mir halt gerne vorher mal anschauen, bevor ich Videominuten abgeben muss. Cons Initially the main problem was the lack of editing capabilities, I ended up having to edit the video in another editor to finish it, I think that this point has improved a lot, but it could be improved with the insertion of two blocks, a starting and ending block, to start and end the video, because practically all videos open with either a logo or a message.
