I had a really good experience when I was a business owner with Alloc8. I didn’t need any additional support, but the use of their services was easy to understand and use.

Pros

I used it for event services and I think the accessibility and how easy it was to create event planning on there was my favorite part

Cons

There isn’t anything I can say pertaining to what I didn’t like. I’ve only ever used this platform for one purpose and it went exactly how I wanted it too.

No more miscommunications, everything is consolidated, i.e. I can send one job allocation which includes: our SWMS, the client SMWS, a TGS/plan & permit. So far, up to 20 site photos, a Vehicle checklist & a site safety checklist.

Pros

This program is amazing, I have all my staff's info just a few clicks away. It takes away my need to memorise everything. Not sending hundreds of texts from a single phone. This program can be used by multiple users, logs are kept of sent items, and people can't claim they never received the message. The report function is my favourite part. Once you work out which report best suits your needs, you never have to fill out another spreadsheet again.

Cons

I can't think of anything negative to say.

We have found the scheduling has improved with little to no over scheduling.

Pros

I love the flexibility and report features of the product. also, the Timecard feature works great and make lots less paperwork .

Cons

the limited forms that they provide. but make up for it in that you can create your own.

Alloc8 is a good fit for our company's needs. We look forward to the the alloc8 team tightening up some of the little details that will increase overall efficiency and ease of use.

Pros

Alloc8's Resource White Board is easy to use and provides a clear visual representation of upcoming jobs, their required resources, and the status of job acceptance. Each work ticket has space to include all relevant job details and can be easily sorted and filtered. The information is easily accessible for mobile users and an effective communication method between management and field workers.

Cons

Because alloc8 is relatively new, there seems to be a lot of functions (like calendar, timesheet management, contacts) that feel semi functional. For example, New Contact entries give the option to add a preferred name, however there is no function to set the contact's preferred name as their default screen name. It feels redundant to have such an option without any functionality. There are similar irritations scattered throughout the platform.

We were actively looking for software developers to create something like what Alloc8 served up on a silver-platter. It was going to cost us $10,000 to $20000 USD just to start the development of such software-- and they wouldn't be delivering the initial phase for months, if not longer. We had Alloc8 up and running in less than a week.

Pros

It ties together your customers, your dispatchers, your employees and your administrative team. No more trying to individually calling employees to suss out a schedule that works for your clients. Now employees tell us when THEY are available and we match them to the open jobs. That alone saves us an incredible amount of time.

Cons

It's new, it's different. If you are coming from the dark-ages like we were you may need to convince employees why this is a good thing for them. With anything new there is a bit of education that has to happen to make sure the employees understand how to use it-- once they do-- they will tell you how much time they are saving.

Great experience using the system, massive improvement to works scheduling and invoicing jobs can be completed as soon as the shift has completed, has saved us a massive amount of admin time.

Pros

Biggest impact for our team was the workforce scheduling capabilities, easy visuals to see who is available and excellent compliance to ensure the right people are in the right vehicles for their competency/license

Cons

Onboarding was a challenge, we made the mistake of trying to set up all of our internal requirements for system launch, where in hindsight it would have been much easier to get the basics up and going and add in our internal requirements afterwards.
