Je leur ai confié la réalisation de mon application mobile et très rapidement, les problèmes ont débuté. Cela a parfois pris des semaines, littéralement, avant que Timur daigne répondre à mes demandes légitimes de support. La version Android de mon application n'a pas fonctionné plus de deux mois. Quant à la version iPhone, je l'ai appelé de mes vœux à partir de fin Mai 2024 et pendant plus de six mois. Je n'en ai jamais vu la couleur. Gurucan a fini par me faire une proposition en décembre 2024 de migrer vers leur nouvelle plate-forme avec la promesse que tous mes soucis seraient réglés d'ici quelques semaines. Je n'ai jamais su ce que « quelques semaines » signifiait. J'ai résilié mon abonnement et je recommande à tout le monde de fuir en courant cette compagnie. Pros La promesse d'une app en version Androïd et Iphone en un mois semblait belle. Cons Support totalement incompétent et promesses non tenues. Even before the pandemic hit and I haven't had any luck finding the quality and price. Gurucan it's the perfect combination of these things and I am so happy. I hope they continue improving their app and don't abandon this amazing product. Pros I love the fact that my students are able to see all the content from their phone through the app. They don't need to go to any website to see my content. It's their one touch away. Pros I purchased Gurucan when they offered unlimited hosting, which was a hard-to-find feature at the time. I was also intrigued about their meal plans and challenges features, which I hadn't seen anywhere before. I am also a big fan of having email marketing built-in, making it easy to communicate with certain segments of learners. Cons After several attempts of making use of this software, I am giving up, simply because the UI is so horrendous and confusing. Also, having owned Gurucan for nearly 18 months now, I do not recall any communication or updates from the creator. I don't know if they worked on this product at all in this time, as I haven't noticed any changes on the back-end, and couldn't find the changelog. The developers have included cleverly though out ways one can interact with students to increase retention and promote learning which I like. Having the option for the mobile app is a great addition to the package. Lastly, live chat is responsive and helpful, often replying within minutes which is fantastic. Looking forward to publishing the course. Pros So - in my day job I create e-Learning. Put me in front of Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline and I am totally at home. But then I decide to create a course in my spare time. What could go wrong? Well - to start with the course creator software I tried was super expensive, with monthly fees, or scarily limited features. I managed to land on Thinkific... But knew I needed to upgrade before the course was released... And then once you get the course, you are going to need a funnel (have you seen the cost of clickfunnels per month?). With a landing page and payment options. And a email marketing tool. And something to run webinars. Gurucan does all that, and it's just paying one price instead of multiple monthly costs. And there's an app too. And I don't have the time or the bandwidth to try to learn/remember/explain to people the 5 different tools that are all precariously linked together to make my course work. I'm officially impressed. Cons Ok - the UI could be improved. It's just slightly too simple sometimes. I would love if it included feedback surveys - has quizzes, but they are more like right or wrong - doesn't allow for the users to submit paragraphs of free text.
