Pros

  • The team is super helpful. The training they provide and ongoing assistance with questions or reports is best in class.

  • Insight services excellent as engaged into business discussions and come with innovative ideas that I am happy to support internally.

Cons

  • The pricing and promotions tab was always a bit confusing for me. I found the data to be inconsistent with what was live on site which is problematic when the algorithm is constantly shifting price.

  • Hard to scale to many retailers and stores without big costs and long lead times.

"The go to eCommerce tracking platform"

Overall: Profitero have been great in helping the account teams unlock some quick wins and really show the benefits of changing certain elements.

Pros: The UX & ease of use, when switching between the elements is super quick and easy. Additionally, the daily scrapes make the platform up to date.

Cons: I would like to create retailer specific logons for the NAMs or manually edit the product categories on Sales & share. Also, when selecting 1P Only for Amazon, the export shows 1P & 3P which is over 2 million rows & crashes.

Reasons for Switching to Profitero: They are good in France, but in the UK not so good and don't track the elements correctly on the retailer websites. Too slow at fixing amends and account management is shocking.

"Short review"

Overall: Improved images an d conversion. Amazon changes meant the tool paid for itself quickly.

Pros: Ease of use, updated on regular basis. Does exactly what we need it to do. Also the scalability.

Cons: The dashboard could do with an overhaul and bring it upto date/more modern.

"Useful software for tracking your product content and availability"

Pros: The most useful features are Assortment & availability and Product content. You could easily export out-of-stock products or some content issues and resolve those problems accordingly.

Cons: I do not really like features Ratings & reviews and Placement. They give you some insight on how well your products operate, but you can do almost nothing about it. Therefore, I hardly used them.

"More than just software"

Overall: Profitero is a software, correct. However, it is also a talented team that is striving to help it's customers gain greater understanding of the eCommerce landscape. They host "mini-share group" events and an annual virtual conference to support the broader needs of their customers. I've additionally used their consultation services to solve more complex problems and help me understand how to use the data in ways that are beyond the functionality of the software.

Pros: My use of Profitero is most valuable in sizing the category and competitors. Additionally, I have leveraged the software to understand optimal pack sizes and price points for products in my category. Anytime I have thought something was wrong, the team was able to educate me that it was simply a gap in my understanding of the metric.

Cons: There is a need to continuously review categorization of products, as new products are added as they become available on the platform. The intricacies of data collection and classification is difficult for any software company to deploy with ease. You never stop learning on this platform.

"People Powered Analytics "

Overall: The tool is great but the partnership is extremely valuable. From [SENSITIVE CONTENT], I am extremely pleased with the critical thinking from the team. My account manager is also awesome. She gets it.

Pros: one stop shopping for digital shelf scorecard along with the thought leadership of the team. The tool is great but the support team and the client centric focus is what sets the tool apart from the competition

Cons: Edge is pushing there local availability view. This is not critical to me but several markets are interested in it.

Reasons for Choosing Profitero: The tool plus the thought leadership. The talent that I work with is very strong, I would hire them for my own team if they did not support us through our partnership. They are not afraid to challenge my team and bring so much thought leadership!
