Contact Lens Optician Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A Review of Rotaville Staff Scheduling" February 25, 2020 5.0 The perfect solution for any small or medium size buiness to manage staffing levels over multiple outlets. Now we have been using it for several years I don't know what we did without it! Pros This is a very easy to use and intuitive App / Website. We use it to cover staff scheduling for three optical practices and 20 employees on a 5 or 6 day per week rota. Most staff work in at least 2 out of the 3 practrices every week and sometimes all 3, and it is very easy to see who has been rota'd in and where, on either a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The top of the page for each day will also confirm who is on holiday or away and, if cover is needed in particular practice, which job description is needed to fill the gap. You can customise the amount of notifications you get, how you get them and even the time of day you receive them. I have opted for a daily notification by email at 8am which is a handy reminder for me to turn up in the right place!! If an admin makes any changed to a day which will affect you, you will then get an instant notification of the change, probably very handy for those who do not log in every day. All the usual staff requests for holiday / days off etc can be administered via the App, as can memo's either to a specific group or just a single person..Rotaville covers everything! Cons Really can't think of anything negative to say about it. Pros Easy to use, convenient, does the job well. Cons Takes a long time adding in break times when using the app as you have to keep tapping the button, can't just slide as when creating shifts. I can't live without it for the scheduling, but it needs some basic improvements are needed. Pros This allows me to schedule without too much difficulty. It is affordable and it does allow me to communicate with the whole team effectively. Customer service is fast and thorough in their responses. Cons The Memo function should operate as an email account - but it does not. It is very poorly considered, executed and is frustrating when you have to rely on it daily. I've been advised that it will be overhauled but no changes have been forthcoming. The notifications are a disaster, the only useful setting is the "off" setting. When I have given feedback in the past I've been advised to use the software differently on a different bigger screen etc. I don't have a different screen and the way I use it gives me the overview that my business needs, rather than some view that might suit your imagined customer's reality, but alas, not mine. Having Rotaville also means that any shift swaps have to be applied to the system by me and are not missed. overall very happy with it. Pros The software was easy to install and is easy to add or remove users and it is easy for the staff to install and access their shift information. Cons we find the software easy to use, and it allows the staff to book their annual leave which then comes through the system to me. Rotaville works well along side other software we use within the organisation. When doing the monthly payroll it is easy to generate each employees shifts for the month. Review Source BK Bo K. Pros Its good having an app and being able to see multi site staffing. Cons I would like to see more features on the app such as holiday request forms and being able to customise view better such as view and colour schemes. The integration with my smartphone camera only shows the word rotaville so i have to click it to see if i am in or if it is a holiday, it would be handy to be able to customise this too Review Source PL Phil L. It is secure; easy to use; reliable very easy to setup. Staff like the App, and we have been able to track sickness and holidays with it. It allows to change me shift with other people. I can also use the app to memo our manager. It is just great! Pros The best thing for me is that I can easily find when is my shift. The structure of the app is clear so I can quickly locate to my shift everyday. The app also automatically send me emails to tell me my following shifts in the coming week. It helps me to organise my schedule. Cons Rotaville is a fabulous app! The notifications are great. I would only recommend a UI update to the website. Pros It is easy to read on the app. My favourite parts are the displaying of upcoming shifts on the website and the easy ability to update availability on the app. Cons The websites availability is impossible for me to navigate.
