HR Director/ Senior Vice President Banking Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great Software" May 16, 2019 5.0 Using Kronos has significantly reduced the hours spent handling and filing paperwork on each employee. Employee reviews, job goals, reward and disciplinary matters are all handled through Kronos. Employee basically have access to their entire work history. They also have access and ability to print their W-2 and ACA form. Pros Building reports within Kronos and being able to print the data in various formats has been one of the greatest features of Kronos. I love having the ability to take a candidate from the application stage to the hiring stage within the same process and have all hiring documents completed within the system. Lastly, having the time keeping system also be within the same software makes Kronos the best interactive software we have used to date! Cons The least favorable feature of Kronos has been not having the "back button" work at all times, regardless of where you are within the software. Too often, there is a need to restart a process. Pros Easy to click on fields desired to report on Cons A participant's information does not show up all on one line. Making it difficult to use in Excel. The PTO request is not intuitive and I waste time doing a request. This should be a much simpler process as all employees do these. I don't like the report resetting all the time while I am using it. Should stay where I was at. Better Dep\[t tools, like Pay History should be a canned report. Should be able to go back and pull pay rates and headcount by specifying date, so system would have to know what pay rate was in effect at date selected. This may change a bit with the new user interface, but overall it is intuitive and easy to use. Customization and capabilities are great. Cons The occasional bugs that happen with SAAS. Reporting is a breeze and is one of my favorite features! Cons The con that I have experienced is not in the software itself but in the customer service. I would like a designated rep that knows my rules, my employees, etc. It's like starting from scratch every time I have an issue. When I used Empower, I had designated reps. I miss that feature the most. Reason for choosing UKG Ready The single sign-on was a huge factor. With out previous system, I had to log into two different systems, one for time/attendance and the other for HR/Payroll. In addition, I loved the reporting features. Review Source MK Mandy K. I also enjoyed everybody that we ever worked with. They were very pleasant and always willing to help. If they did not know the answer, they found somebody that did. Pros For the most part it is very user friendly. I loved some of the reports that I was able to utilize. Also the dash board with the attendance list, etc on it was very nice. Cons It did take quite awhile to get it tweeked to our needs for a payroll system. We never did get the PTO/Vacation/etc. to work right. That was part my fault for not having enough time to spend with somebody to get it completely set up to our specifications. Review Source JK Julie K. HRIS Analyst Medical Practice Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great enthusiasm for implementation but actual service and product falls short" April 4, 2018 3.0 Pros The product was fairly easy to learn, however there are so many caveats that cause the product to stop itself short of being efficient. Cons The system has many hiccups that cause many of our processes to end up being manual. Effective dating causes issues where we have to hold onto a status change due to dating issues. Also the look/feel of Kronos is very clunky. There is also not ad hoc reporting tool or wizard. Personally, I love Mo as it gives you a nice overview of all the amazing things happening across the business that we may not know about otherwise. We see thank you messages from our 58 hotels and central functions and it increases engagement between departments.For our team (Marketing), we use it as a content bank that we can dip into to use on social channels for employer branding. This lets us show an insight into life at Atlas and we also use it to highlight great service to hotel managers from the reviews.The gifs and emojis are a cool touch and there's a great selection in the rewards store. Cons It would be great if we could use our own branding! Pros The app for mobile phones I find is much easier to navigate than a desktop version. The ability to clock in/out from anywhere is bery useful. We have not run into any major issues or had any disruptions in our payroll. Pros I like that the software is easy to use. The layout is customizable to allow us to make it easier to use for non-technical people. The customer support is outstanding. They are helpful and easy to work with. I also like that they take into consideration users ideas and suggestions for future upgrades. Overall, this is the best time and labor management software we have used. Cons The reporting is a little limited in functionality and not as customizable as an on premise version. We were able to get everything we need, but some enhancements on functionality would be nice. Human Resources Generalist Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Work Force Ready Review from an actual client" August 17, 2018 3.0 This is a system that I am in every single working day & I know I could better utilize some of the features offered, but I just haven't had the training to reach the maximum benefit level. Pros The technical support team does a pretty good job with quick fixes, but I would recommend having a group of technicians being dedicated to one client. I have had in the past one support technician fix an issue and then the next one "fixed" it another way. Notifications for system wide issues has greatly improved. The ability to format the reports is very helpful. Cons My one complaint is I have never heard back from from any technical issue that has been referred up the chain to an engineer. I realize that I need to allow time for research of the problem and then time for a workable solution, but as I mentioned I have never received a follow up call from an engineer. Cons I have personally not had any issues using this software and deploying/training end users on it has been very easy for us so far. Pros Kronos was very easy to learn with the proper training and helps the department stay organized in tracking employees time to submit to payroll. The custom features are excellent because you can adjust the interface to your preference. The multiple reporting options are great. From time management to people management, they offer a lot of help and insight on how to make your business run smoother. Highly recommended. Pros Partnering with Kronos can really help you get your business in gear. They have a lot of insights on how to manage your people, and they can really help your business grow. All the information on your people and business are ready, at your fingertips. Cons As with all things, most people will not be wanting to pay the costs associated with using this product. Also, some of the verbiage is a little wordy, but once you read and understand what they mean, you'll realize it is a good product to be using. Review Source Jackie P. Employees are able to easily put in time off requests, edit their time sheets, and schedule shifts on their own! Pros I like that employees are able to edit their own time sheets with the Kronos App! HR Administrator Used the software for: 2+ years ### "There's no single "right way"" February 15, 2019 4.0 Overall, I like it. But we SERIOUSLY under-utilize this system and I'd like to remedy that. Pros For people that learn differently, this program is good, there are several ways to accomplish the same task. I like that I can find nearly anything I want (employee related) in just a few seconds. Cons For people who like black and white (like me), I just want the easiest and fastest way to complete a task. I don't like that there are different rules for different functions. I can do XYZ if I'm trying to report THIS, but I can't do XYZ if I'm trying to report THAT. I wish all rules applied to all functions. I also don't like that Kronos isn't smart enough to figure out detailed functions. For example, if I have someone on STD, I should be able to enter 8 hrs STD on their time sheet and Kronos should know to add 8 hrs STD to their paycheck, to their STD leave, and to FMLA. Why I have to entered Unpaid time off on the time sheet + 8 hrs STD + pay for STD + 8 hrs of FMLA is beyond me. Also, having to enter changes after a pay date is silly. Kronos should be able to figure out that if a change is made in the middle of the pay period, it doesn't take affect until after the pay date. This "rule" (or lack thereof) makes for some interesting calendar calculations. Review Source BL Barb L. Pros I like the concept of creating schedules that continuously recreate to eliminate the need for constant input. i like some of the reports that can be pulled for easy information. Cons This particular version that we have is not user friendly in that when an employee requests PTO time and it is approved - the schedule also still shows the schedule which makes it confusing. Not able to show employees that work in multiple work areas during one shift - only shows in one area.
