Overall, I liked using Kronos but wish there were a call in support centre to help me with it's use. My colleagues would get annoyed with the number of questions I had about it when I was learning to use it and the manual wasn't always helpful.

Pros

I used this software while working at RONA as payroll admin. Things I liked about this software was that it was easy to organize everyone's time cards and identify each employees total hours each pay period.

Cons

It was difficult for me to confirm and calculate what each employee should get paid for stat and other holidays. I didn't find this to be straight forward and often need assistance to confirm that I did it properly.

Pros

We use this software for time cards. It does what it's supposed to...I keeps my time card. I can punch in/out and submit my time card for approval. The program works most of the time.

Cons

Nobody really likes to use Kronos. The interface is really slow and some of the buttons are in strange menus. The whole program is just a pain to use and most people will avoid it unless necessary.

I'm pretty new to the HR Software world but i do think there are good and bad features about Kronos. Overall, the staff is very helpful when it comes to questions on the system. I do think the look is a little bulky and there are a lot of fields to navigate through. I haven't used the Kronos Community too much yet but did attend KronosWorks and think there's potential for the software to improve on customization.

Pros

I really like the search feature within the software and also that you can make every screen a different report but switching out columns, etc.

Cons

Least is also the reporting tool and not being able to run reports for a specific point in time. It's also difficult to set filters and add totals within the report. I'd also like to see the onboarding improve in appearance.

Having a real HRIS system is a plus. We are not fully utilizing the system due to poor implementation team but we see potential.

Cons

Customer Service needs improvement. Not available when needed. Sometimes don't get calls back at all.

Pros

The software is great and user friendly. I spoke with rep about an issue this morning. However, in the meantime I was able to make the change myself. I had rep review my changes and told him I have had great teachers from Kronos.

Since moving to the Workforce Ready platform we have been able to simplify reporting, payroll, on-boarding and open enrollment. The overall HR function has been streamlined much better with WFR.

Pros

I like the reporting capabilities and the ease of payroll.

Cons

I do not like the new interface. It lost a lot of the quick link features and navigating to the proper screens has become more difficult. Getting to certain forms and screens are no longer as logical as they were with the earlier version.

Pros

Kronos is a solid powerful system. All applications in one including recruitment, payroll, performance reviews, time management. Single employee record sharing across applications.

Cons

Difficult learning the system and finding help. It would be nice to help (definition) on the specific field instead of trying to find it. Performance reviews and workflows are difficult to use

We use kronos to schedule our associates weekly. It works in general, but there could definitely be some programming improvements.

Pros

I like how you can program everyone to have certain availability, and you can set patterns if that changes for someone weekly

Cons

The algorithms that Kronos uses arent always accurate. Usually when scheduling, by saturday, the automatically generated schedule has run out of people it can use. Also it runs in flash, which is an outdated program.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use from an administrator standpoint. Reports are easy to design and build. Makes my day easy. The ability to pull up an employee and find everything in one spot is useful as well. The payroll process is simple to use.

Cons

Not so much the software but I currently do not have a direct line to my representative. I either make a call and leave a message or send an e-mail and wait for a response.

Pros

Exceptional customer service support and updates! Great resources through Kronos Community. The notification that pops up once logged into Kronos is very helpful and provides relevant important information and reminders. Love how easy it is to create, edit, and share reports.

Cons

No major complaints. I suggest to continue to work on improving Workforce Ready so tasks can be completed with fewer clicks and less navigation. Another improvement would be to remove the current requirement to submit payroll two days before the payroll date. When a holiday falls somewhere within the week, it can become difficult and a bit of a time crunch to try to submit payroll in time. If you could change the requirement to submitting payroll one day before the payroll date, it would greatly help.

The overall use of this product is great. Its very user friendly, there isn't many functions so you don't feel overwhelmed when using it to clock in and clock out.

Cons

Although I did enjoy the limited features, I wish there was more to this product than just punching in and punching out for the day. I never really messed around with the other codes on it.

Problems solved with Kronos include issues with inaccurate time punches and difficulty tracking time at work.

Pros

Kronos is great for remotely logging in to clock in at work from any where that is wirelessly secured by your employer. It allows employees to check their time, accrued time off and adjustments made for the most accurate time punches.

Cons

At times the application has difficulty finding the server required for a secure login, lags and at time freezes.

This is a well-designed product, flexible in its use. Highly recommended.

Pros

Over several years of using this product we've been able to work with the Kronos team to customize it to our exact specifications. It's solved a kep problem of employee time tracking for a remote workforce of hundreds.

Cons

So far we do not have functionality for attaching expense receipts and reporting on them easily. That is the only con that comes to mind.

Occasionally, there is an internet issue and I am unable to log on to the system after multiple attempts. I wish even if an employee is terminated, I can access a report.

Pros

I like that I can get a report on timesheets and that, I can enter time as an administrator if someone forgets his/her access card.

Cons

I wish it would let me download a report for at least 6 months instead of just a month.

Reason for choosing UKG Ready

Although I was not present at the time this software was selected, I think it was mainly chosen as a means to track employee's in and out times and it has the functionality to show accrued time off.

Kronos works for what our company uses it for. Ties in with ADP well and for most our non computer users its super simple, punch in and punch out. Nothing more to it

Easy to use punch in and out feature easy to manually edit timestamps if need be or change billing coding for different departments

Cons

The new interface is a bit to navigate. You can go to classic look, but who knows for how long. Sometimes getting through the PTO fields is a bit combersome

Kronos Workforce Ready is an excellent product for us and a definite upgrade over the Workforce Central version we were on. Every software has its shortcomings, but they have been few and far between with WFR. The last KronosWorks conference had plenty of WFR ready classes and a considerable number of users to interact with.

Pros

Customer service has been a strong suit for Kronos regardless of which product you are on. Reporting functionality in WFR is by far the best change from WFC, but also better than any other software we use throughout our company. Since WFR is on the cloud, the continual upgrades are done for us, saving us time and money.

Cons

Implementation left a lot to be desired.

I had a great Implementation Person that made this huge transition for our company so much easier; without him I would have been lost! He took the time and really walked me through everything to make sure I understood the product completely.

Pros

Kronos Workforce Ready is easy to learn and navigate which makes it easier for me to teach coworkers how to use it! I also really love the Technical Support team they are always quick to get back to me whatever the issue at hand may be.

Cons

I love Kronos Workforce Ready it makes my job so much easier to use however, it is very expensive and I wish they charged per employee not by a rounded number.

Good customer service, multiple sites throughout the workplace and easy to use interface.

Pros

Multiple installation sites allows for employees to access at different locations throughout the facility to prevent lines to punch in/out. Works quickly.

Cons

Although rare, sometimes the service goes down due to connectivity issues which can cause issues with hourly tracking.

Pros

This is a great piece of software for punching in and out for my shifts every day of the week. You can also view your time card so that if you missed a punch, you can write an email to your manager about the missed punch so that they can fix it for you. I honestly wouldn't want to change softwares.

Cons

Nothing. If you miss a punch, you will be able to let the manager (administrator) know so that they can fix it for you.

My overall experience while using Kronos was truly excellent and great! No complaints!

Pros

What I liked most about this program is that it specifically and accurately keeps track of your time punches, whether it's for clocking in to start my day, clocking out to take a break/ to have lunch or clocking out for the day because my shift is over.

Cons

What I liked least is the feature of entering a pin each time you log in to Kronos , I agree it's put in place as an effort to keep our personal information secure but it's a bit of a buzz kill if you're only trying to quickly login and quickly log out.

The majority of support cases raised are resolved quickly, easily and the majority of people i have spoken to are friendly and helpful.

Pros

The availability of an app. Being able to do audits on information input. Being able to filter information for reports. To be able to select who can/can't do certain authorisations. The managers being able to input and authorise their own teams information on time sheets.

Cons

When filtering information for reports, it can take quite a while for the report to come through, sometimes it crashes and you may have to try it a few times before you can get the information. Sometimes when customising reports, the columns you need and get in other reports, are not an option.
