July 15, 2019 4.0 Pros Gives us the ability to track time and labor without worrying about accuracy and reporting issues. Helps us track labor as we have employees that change departments frequently and we can see that and allocate finances appropriately. Pros I like how I can scan my badge to clock in. Cons I don’t like how complicated the clock in/clock out process is. It’s so difficult to switch shifts with people and figure out the schedule. Customer service isn’t great because no one working there can figure out the problems. Director of Technology Staffing and Recruiting Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Attendance Tracking vs Just a Timeclock" April 9, 2019 5.0 Kronos is the only software that we looked at that allowed us to have automated attendance points. Each customer we work with has a different attendance policy but Kronos Workforce Ready is flexible enough to accommodate each policy that we've needed. Pros We are able to manage our employee's attendance using Kronos Workforce Ready. We can track if they are absent or tardy on a daily basis in real time. As a staffing agency this gives us the opportunity to counsel our employees before their attendance becomes an issue. Cons I am unable to configure the product myself. This is partly because I don't have the time to learn how to configure it and partly because it is very confusing and intimidating. Review Source KC Katina C. February 28, 2017 4.0 Kronos has a very good customer support staff. Kronosworks is a wonderful event that we enjoy attending each year. Pros The communication between the different instances of HR, Payroll, and ACA allow for more efficient processing and tracking. Cons Right now, my only input for improvement would be the HSA calculation adjustments when someone switches from a family plan to a single plan. We currently have to keep them on the family plan and watch the deductions ourselves, otherwise it will take the deduction post-tax. Review Source AA April A. You're able to use the menu or use the search bar to find the area you need to get to. Also, updating configuration is straight forward, you have options and they make it easy to make a choice and make changes. The on screen reporting is easy to use, easy to share and easy to download as well. Cons I wish there was a smoother process to transfer employees between different EIN's. It makes sense that you have to term the EE under the old EIN and rehire in the new EIN but as a whole the EE shows on reports twice and makes it look like the termed and then came back. There has been only a couple of instances where we have had to ask Kronos to write a custom report for us and I'm sure with some further training we might be able to do those on our own in the future. The other great experience is the people - just about everyone we've worked with is amazing, from the implementation teams to the technical support staff. Cons The customization during implementation was very involved, which I guess can be a pro or a con. There have also been several instances where the system was down for almost a full day. There is a very powerful resource, but has a steep learning curve. Pros It's extremely customizable and has everything you need to manage your company, from HR document management, Payroll, and Time and Attendance. The customer support is great, if there is ever an issue, the Kronos staff is extremely easy to work with in finding a resolution. Cons There is quite a bit to learn. There are a lot of HR systems to choose from but this is one of the easiest I have used. Everyone I have interacted with at Kronos has been very helpful and very friendly! I love the consolidation of information in this program. Everything that you need to know about an employee is in one spot. This was quite the change for our company - we used to have information in various places. Now, by logging into Kronos, I can easily find everything I need. Inventory Sales Associate Wireless Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Kronos as an Employess" July 22, 2019 5.0 I like it overall no complaints on the computer other than a couple fixes that would make it run 100% efficient such as making it a bit faster and making the interface a bit more pleasing and simple, as far for the app, it’s not good but it does the basic tasks that I need to do in a rather slow process but good for a quick use Pros I really like how Kronos works as regards of marking your location, easy to edit time, and the vast options it has Cons I really really do not like how the app for the phone is setup. November 13, 2017 4.0 Kronos Community has been very helpful and the response I get when I open a case is very good. Pros Removing our IT Dept for updates and reporting; getting updates automatically. The ability to create reports and export them easily is also a plus. Cons Accruals - very cumbersome and not user friendly from an admin perspective. It is difficult to make changes to employee accruals. The software works and does its job (i.e., keeps track of work/vacation days through my timecard, functions as an online application for applying for vacation days). Cons The look-and-feel of the user interface is straight out of the '90s (e.g., information/ data overload on the webpage, tiny buttons, windows that cannot be resized for easy readability). The information is not updated real-time. If I check my vacation balance right after applying for some vacation and getting an automated approval alert, my balance still shows up as unchanged and the days for which I applied vacation still show up as I'm working. Pros Kronos was an effective way to receive my schedule and view upcoming shifts. I also liked that you could view past hours worked. Cons Kronos is hard to use. It's difficult to find time off/vacation/availability features, and it makes requesting schedule changes very difficult and frustrating. Pros Kronos was used at a previous job for clocking in/out. Kronos uses your fingerprint to clock you in or out, as well as a number code, for better security. It provided a quick & easy way to come & go from my job. Cons Occasionally, kronos would freeze or slow down tremendously, making it difficult & somewhat time consuming to clock in or out. Also, it combines many portions of HR that before we'd had to maintain in separate spreadsheets. Cons still can't use the performance review function - notes from all three reviewers are visible and that doesn't work for our company. Our organization is in the process of expanding our Kronos capabilities so I am excited and curious to see how our updates come to life. Pros To begin, the software is aesthetically pleasing, which is always a plus. It is easy on the eyes and most information is easily accessible. Cons There are quite a few areas where information does not “flow” through from our other software partners. Also, there are some processes that seem to require a large number of button clicks. We followed the implementation plan provided by KRONOS. Pros This application is extremely user friendly. We worked with the KRONOS implementation team very closely to provide an easy experience for our users. It took some time testing but it is worth making the time. Cons If the client does not follow or commit time for this type of implementations ... the result will not be successful.
