The little bit I have used it for looking at my vacation days and requesting time off seems to work well. Cons I don't like the added security features. The Mobile App is user friendly. Customization of different window views is helpful and makes looking at real time data easier. Cons Lack of customization for timecard view and what data elements appear for employees vs. managers. Reading accruals is very challenging for the employee. My previous system did not do that so it was a great benefit and time saver for the system to do this for me. Pros It was an easy to system to train employees on and easy for most people to understand how to use the system. Cons One of the main cons of Kronos is the reporting system. Pros I liked that Kronos was so easy to use. It was intuitive and user-friendly while still being a valuable service to our company. Lots of features we are not using yet, but will in the future once we go live. Software has tons of flexibility & the developers seem to really listen to the user community for necessary updates. Pros Flexibility, access from multiple platforms (clock, PC, mobile), cloud based, reporting capabilities. The TLM consultant made an error that overpaid employees and cost us thousands of dollars. 3 different HR consultants. No knowledge overlap between the modules. Would get bandied back and forth between TLM and HR consultant, instead of having one solid resource Pros Fairly intuitive, having dedicated support during implementation is helpful. Once the system is up and running the general functions work well Cons report writing is terrible, no ATS, system set up does not make sense in many cases, system too slow for the size of my organization Review Source EB Erika B. For mid-sized enterprises it is a solid, cloud-based all-in-one option. ACA reporting tool is great. Flexibility of tools is something we hope our managers and employees will grow into as they become accustomed to non-paper-based payroll. Cons Recruitment module and payroll module have weird glitches with tax, unemployment and workers' comp settings that make automation a little hit or miss with the forms; cost center editing is complicated. Global Support folks are very nice, but the depth of bench can vary, so if you find someone you like working with, try to stick with them as much as possible. We are a company with 2 EIN's and over 4000 staff and growing. Some of the functionality of WFR is awesome but does not out way the inabilities of some functions that we need to be efficient as we continue to grow. Pros The flexibility of most functions. Ease of use. Not having to set the W-2 retirement box for staff that enrolls in our retirement plan. Cons Inability to process automated retro pay using Workforce Central Time and Labor and Workforce Ready HR/Payroll. In association with retro pay, inability to set rate change effective dates prior to the current pay period. Pay date driven effective dates. Inability to input random check numbers for manual checks. We have over 20 locations with their own checkbooks that each one uses for other reasons other than payroll/manual check writing. Inability to transfer from one EIN to another without terminating in one and rehiring in the other. Review Source KM Kay M. All we had to do was swipe our card and everything would be stored for payroll. Cons The only thing I could point out to better the little computer you have to clock in and out. I'd better it and have it not lag so much. Because sometimes I'd clock in a couple minutes after I was supposed to cause it lagged. Review Source NB Nic B. VP, HR Banking Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Solid and dependable platform with tremendous ROI" October 6, 2016 5.0 We demo'ed more systems than I could count in looking at the best choice for us. We narrowed it down to two and then took a very measured, thorough approach in our final analysis. WFR truly had the best "bang for the buck" of any system. The time-tested reliability of a Kronos product couldn't be ignored and the cost versus gained efficiency was undeniable. These characteristics also made the internal approval for the project very straight forward. Pros The system can support multiple, complex needs. The breadth and diversity of Kronos customers means they're already prepared for a lot of the needs we throw at them. This greatly eases our work in adapting and streamlining processes. The mobile platform is as good as any I've seen and the system's integration across modules is second to none. Cons Some administrative functions are not as intuitive as I'd like and I think the general navigation layout could be better designed. The function itself is sound but the execution of the function takes some learning. Review Source CW Cindy W. Pros User friendly for the most part; easily formatted, has learning functions if there is something you do not know or not familiar with using. Cons If a missed punch; cannot add the mis-punch with one time, and then automatically moves the other times in the correct format, you have to re-enter the other days back in correctly. Cons The biggest issue I have is understanding how to manually change time categories (standard, holiday, PTO, etc), it can be very confusing and generally I defer to those who received actual training.
