### "Engaging Team-Building Tool"

October 23, 2024

3.0

My experience with Goosechase has been largely positive. It's ease of use and customisable challenges made our team-building events fun and engaging. Occasional tech hiccups were minor setbacks in an otherwise effective tool for boosting collaboration.

Pros

Goosechase stands out for its versatility and ease of use, allowing users to create scavenger hunts for any occasion. I love it's customisable missions, that makes corporate and casual events, way more fun.

Cons

What I like least is the fact that connectivity issues can disrupt the real-time leaderboards and overall flow of the game.

### "Scavenger Hunt App"

August 7, 2024

5.0

My overall experience was 5/5 stars. I really like the application and look forward to using the platform for future scavenger hunts our team plans to have in our community.

Pros

I have been searching for new ideas for our community scavenger hunts and I absolutely love the idea of this platform. Electronic devices have the majority of our children and adults engagement, so by using an app on their phones for the scavenger hunt was so much fun and so much easier to plan.

Cons

The only downfall to this program would be the need for Wifi connection while using the platform. The location available for our scavenger hunt was unfortunately away from any wifi connection. There are methods to work around this small mishap as long as you have the right connections. Overall

5.0

Goosechase is the leading online interactive platform with digitally advanced interactive and collaboration features for real time meaningful interaction and foster collaboration with participants and target audiences in all kinds of programme. The leaderboard and live features will operate real time without any lag. Also, the reporting dashboard for measuring success is crucial and can be very well maintained and updated by Goosechase

Pros

Goosechase is one of the most interactive and intuitive online platform that enables organizations to create scavenger hunts and other interactive experiences for long lasting learning and improve engagement and collaboration with target audience. The most amazing aspect of this online platform is that it is extremely easy to learn and any kind of audience gets adjusted and equipped with its functionalities immediately. All kinds of interactive gaming experiences are fostered by Goosechase in most efficient and swift manner. The online platform comes with extensive real time tracking of the interactive experiences and journey and also report and dashboard mechanism for overall analysis.

### "GooseChase more than a scavenger hunt"

January 21, 2024

5.0

The app is versatile. The employees are friendly and responsive. The company's new community forum, The Nest, is informative and empowering. I find this company quite valuable in my role as an educator of both elementary and secondary students, not to mention with my fellow educators.

Pros

I love the versatility of this app. Students/players have the ability to complete challenges with text, photo, video and/or gps input. These options encourage a variety of depth and breadth in regard to learning challenges.

Cons

In past years, students had to have a particular mission/challenge open. This prevented students from uploading photos/videos from their camera roll. That was a negative issue because many of my high school students have phones that only work on wifi. I shared my concern of this issue with the company. After a year, they provided the option in an update. I was thrilled.

### "Amazing for creating classroom engagement and getting students out of their comfort zone."

August 14, 2023

5.0

I love this tool. I first used it as a participant doing a city-wide scavenger hunt with my family. I then created a challenge for a church family weekend. During covid, I found ways to use it in my classroom at Miami University with great success. I keep finding more ways to use it!

Pros

I love how I can quickly create challenges that line up directly with my classroom topics. From semester to semester, I can easily duplicate a previous challenge and make small changes. It really encourages me to think about my students' learning process and how to make it tangible. It also makes it fun!

Cons

I wish I could allow feedback/ comments on the leaderboard. Right now I have to add bonus points to be able to make any comments about it. I wish there was an way to quicly export a simple video summary (choose which challenge videos/ pictures, choose speed, choose music). Right now I export and make my own videos using tools like Animoto.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

It was so user-friendly to set up and run challenges. Easy to download the final submissions (and smaller files).

### "Goose Chase Rocks"

August 21, 2023

5.0

I love Goosechase and know that my staff loves it so much, they asked that I do another one for our opening inservice this fall. It is engaging and team focused and all members of your group is engaged instead of just one or two doing all the work for everyone. I highly recommend Goosechase and am thankful I learned about it at our Physical Education Conference in Wisconsin last fall. It's always great to bring something new and exciting back to the district.

Pros

Goose Chase is super easy to navigate through the app to set up. I viewed a couple tutorials but overall I was able to figure it out easily without any problems. It is also easy from the participant side to download the app, get signed in with the access code and begin the missions. I like have they have premade missions to get your ideas flowing but also the ease to make your own or tweek the ones they have premade.

Cons

I haven't had issues with the Goose chase app. The only thing I would say as I have used it with staff only would be to have a place to see what missions the participants completed/submitted and which they haven't in real time. The latest challenge I have 60 missions and they had 60 minutes to complete as many as they could so it would be nice from my end as an administrator to see which ones they were hitting and which ones they had yet to complete in real time.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

I still use both but find Goosechase more user friendly and quick and easy to administer.

### "The best app for interactive experiences (yet)"

March 28, 2024

5.0

Pros

This was far easier to use and develop with than anything I've ever used. With just 3 options (text, GPS, photo/video), Goosechase allows for a world of possibility. The ability to lock and unlock experiences based on time, adds even more flexibility and options to a platform already filled to the brim with them. The few times that I've had questions or issues, The Nest, Goosechase's community forum, was incredibly helpful and quick to respond.

Cons

Mission design is a bit clunky and there are some seemingly obvious features that are missing. When there are more than just a few missions, reorganizing them via drag-and-drop is a pain. If there's a way to copy or template missions, I'm not sure what it is. Adding the ability to unlock missions based on the completion of previous missions feels like a missing feature that would unlock an entire galaxy of new experience possibilities.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

I've used these products in the past. I had do some custom coding to make them work and there was a tremendous amount of effort, uncertainty, and troubleshooting around their performance. That is never a concern with Goosechase.

### "GooseChase of Education - It's a Blast"

August 14, 2023

5.0

I love it - the fun, the gamification, the challenge, and the collection of photos and videos make it such an #eduwin.

Pros

As a middle school teacher, I have used GooseChase for five years on our annual Washington DC. Trip. The game not only keeps kids engaged, but it also provides me with a great collection of crowdsourced phots and videos! I also use it during the school year by offering various challenges to students based on our topics of study. Some challenges can be done at school or home, while others require some local travel to historic sites. In addition, I have used GooseChase for engagement at multiple professional conferences that I help organize and run. The conference challenges bring attendees together, offer ways to promote featured sessions, and provide some fun as well!I've alos used it for my extended family. It's an. amazing platform to guide people around our city, showing off historic sites, cool cultural attractions, and fun locations.GooseChase is easy to design, simple to implement, and a snap to monitor.

Cons

I would love some new functions - possibly some hidden bonuses when teams complete a series of missions, or some if/then functions at certain locations. A built in QR code reader would be cool as well.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

I've used it in the past, and it's super easy. Plus, GC is much less expensive.

### "Goosechase plants the seeds!"

August 17, 2023

5.0

I use Goosechase in an educational setting, and it is a remarkable tool for allowing students and colleagues the opportunity to explore and begin to think about the concepts that we will cover more in depth after we’re done adventuring. Nobody wants to listen to a lecture, and everyone wants to run around and find things of interest. Within the design of the games that I have set up, people get the opportunity to have those “a-ha” moments that really springboard our learning io the big picture concepts that we need to cover for various courses and training purposes.

Pros

Everyone likes competition, and using Goosechase to enhance knowledge is extremely powerful and engaging simultaneously. There is instant motivation for participation, and the ability for me to manage so many people from my laptop is incredible. Messaging with fun or inspiring comments keeps everyone entertained yet accountable, and the discussion of the adventure after the challenge ends carries the team building and friendships into the classroom and keeps the energy and attitude positive and productive!

Cons

I would prefer to have a more intuitive team sign up format. With confusion on how to identify and share the code with other team members, it can get a bit confusing. Oftentimes one person in a team of five or six will be the only one submitting pictures and videos for the missions that they are taking on. I wouldlove to have ALL participants engaged in EACH of their phones. A better way to set up a team and share would allow for that!

### "Easy, customizable with room for improvement "

August 8, 2023

5.0

We love everything about it except the fact that we can’t zoom in while taking a picture.

Pros

I love that we can keep staff and families engaged whether we’re near or far from each other. We also love seeing everyone else’s submissions and learning more about each other in a fun and creative way. The ability to customize is the best feature. As an admin, I love being able to set it and forget it since it’s all automated.

Cons

The one complaint that I get over and over is that we can’t zoom in with the camera. I agree and that’s also my biggest complaint. Paying this much for a subscription should include the ability to zoom. We also feel that we should be able to comment on other teams/participants submissions or add to the like feature with other reactions. As an administrator of the games, I’d like to be able to see who/how many people are logged in for each team so I can help facilitate set up before the game begins.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

Ease of use for admin and participants.

We’ve tried several ways to execute our scavenger hunts and they all worked but required much more time, patience, and energy on both the admin role and participant role. This platform is more uniform, automated, and requires less participant training. It runs itself and takes out several steps.

### "Goosechase is for EVERYONE!"

August 10, 2023

5.0

Goosechase is seriously one of my favorite games to play EVER! It started out as a way to gamify my classroom- I've used it to practice vocabulary, skip counting, Earth Day, etc... but then I tried it outside of the classroom with family and friends and it was a HIT! I made a Christmas Lights Goosechase for my church where teams could drive around looking for lights around the holidays (which lots of people do) but making it a scavenger hunt looking for specific lights made it so much more fun. This year with be year three for that. I've also made them for my kids youth group on the boardwalk (a great place for a scavenger hunt!), girls weekend trips, and am now creating one for my son's upcoming wedding reception. I've used so many programs before but never for as long as Goosechase. I even pay for the subscription myself now, as my school stopped offering the paid version. Thank you for creating something that makes anything better!

Pros

Goosechase can make anything better! I've used it in school, at my church, and with family and friends. It is so user-friendly that everyone can use it - young, old, and anyone in between. The app is easy to download and use and I just love the team aspect. Creating missions is a snap and I love that I can save games in my 'library' to use again.

Cons

I wish you could zoom in when taking photos/videos. Often the missions involve finding things that may be a bit far away and then it's hard as the 'judge' to see what the picture is. I also don't like that if you don't hold the camera/iPad up and down the photos/videos are submitted sideways.

### "GooseChase"

October 9, 2023

5.0

We have been using Goosechase since 2018 with youth, families, volunteers, and colleagues with an educational focus. It provides a chance for use with the public at fairs, with virtual programs to allow team-building or extended content experience, with parents/families as a part of early childhood engagement focuses, and at in-person events for more connection to the location and with others (and with education in there too!). I think there are a lot of ways to use the platform and have been impressed with staff creativity though I don’t even know all the stories. We often use for informal evaluation purposes and to get qualitative data points on what went well, what could be improved and what youth have learned.

Pros

The ability to have private missions so sensitive or private youth content is not seen by other participants if needed; the ability to have other colleagues as team builders and reviewers within one game; the license that is unlimited for our whole organizational team to use in programming with youth, volunteers, and the community

Cons

Integration is a slight challenge when we have to get approval from our broader university but has not been an issue. All of the specific needs we have had had been addressed by the team so no issues there! Pricing has changed a bit over the years and we have had to figure out creative ways to cover. However, I still view as a platform that has good value for our program.

### "Great interactivity and easy to use!"

October 17, 2023

4.0

Pros

Goosechase is easy to use, both as as admin and an end user. It has been a great way for us to get people out in the preserves and see what they are seeing. The dashboard is an easy way to track participation and engagement, and the process for adding missions is fairly easy. As a participant, it's easy to use and monitor your progress.

Cons

A Zoom option on the camera function would be particularly useful, and it would be nice to be able to easily schedule missions to be released. It would also be ideal to have more ways to sort submissions for download, such as by mission or by user. With tens of thousands of submissions, the download process is time consuming. Finally, the mission search function is very helpful, but it is glitchy and sometimes takes awhile to work.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

Better value and functionality.

### "Amazing service to promote user engagement!"

October 3, 2023

5.0

We use Goosechase for onboarding and training, as well as for event user engagement. It has been an absolutely wonderful tool service to have in our toolbox! Attendees and staff love it and it's always fun to see the question results!

Pros

We love how easy Goosechase is to learn and use! Our main staff team that sets up the Goosechase experiences picked up the software quickly and love how versatile the question formats are. And when we had any trouble, customer support was absolutely phenomenal with helping and even scheduling a private training for the team!

Cons

We wished there were a couple other questioning formats available, and the ability to make formats conditional (show/hide based on other questions answers).

Reason for choosing Goosechase

Honestly, the amazing customer service. The Goosechase team was so personal with reaching out for assistance and training that they won us over!

### "Wonderful for colleges"

August 8, 2023

5.0

The benefits of Goosechase allow me to connect with potential applicants, get to know students, aid in student sense of belonging, and support faculty members with fun, interactive experiences.

Pros

Opportunities abound to utilize Goosechase for colleges. Creating a sense of belonging through orientation, aiding in connection with student tours (middle school through adults), supporting faculty with robust projects, and collecting data for accreditation are all dymanic means of applicability.

Cons

All usages are meeting my expectations. Faculty, administators, and students are enjoying Goosechase.

### "Fun Way to Engage and Build Community"

August 21, 2023

5.0

I absolutely love this product. We use it for staff engagement, building school community, and a bit of a brain break from the very information heavy professional developments our teachers participate in. With this product we can integrate movement, competition, and a fun activity to get teachers moving and collaborating with one another. Sometimes our challenges are just fun and other times we add in content, but overall we love using GooseChase.

Pros

I love that Goosechase has a live stream that users can see in real time of all the fun challenges participants are creating. I also love that you can download those pictures and save the memories for each event.

Cons

Adding preassigned teams can be a little tricky if you don't really take your time, but after looking into the directions I got it done.

### "Many Creative Uses!"

August 14, 2023

Goosechase gives us an adaptive and super fun way to create team icebreakers, community connections, and classroom activities.

Pros

Goosechase is such a fun an adapatable platform for all sorts of staff and student activities. It is a quick learning curve and allows for either full customization or the ability to borrow or tweaks missions that have already been created.

Cons

It's not always clear about when passwords are needed for games or for teams. One is always generated but not always used.

### "Bang for your Buck"

August 17, 2023

5.0

We love the ease of the website, how you can customize, and also the ability to add your own content. We love the live action leaderboard as well.

Pros

I love the features. I love that it is child and adult friendly. I love that we can access it at school. I also love that we can access it with their devices as well.

Cons

The thing I don't like the most is the price. We use it every year for our Vacation Bible School for the groups to gain more points. We also use it for church events as I am a teacher AND a events/social media manager for our church. At school, I use it for different units and for events as well. The hard thing about school is that we are at an area that doesn't have a lot of cell service so we have to use our iPads and we are limited there with the number of devices. I am part of the educator discount, but it is still just so pricey to use, especially if I was only using it in my classroom. I do appreciate the educator discount however.

Reason for choosing Goosechase

It was more user friendly for my students initially.

### "Amazing Option to Engage a Wide (and Large Geographic) Audience"

October 3, 2023

5.0

Amazing! I hope to continue using the product in the future and increasing it's use within different areas of our organization. We are a not-for-profit, so the price tag is a little high for us. It would be great to see a not-for-profit, or different tiered pricing as needed for different organizations.

Pros

The product is very easy to use from both the admin and user end. It allows for a lot of creativity and flexibility in programming. It is a great and novel way to engage with audiences.

Cons

My only negative is that when no code is required, the code page still pops up and needs to be closed. This confuses many of our participants. We now add this text into our instructions, but it would be great to not have to side-step this if "no passcode" is chosen for the event.

### "Great way to engage students!"

August 8, 2023

5.0

It really allows for a different training experience that our students love. Also, it allows for an entire album of photos that can be used for marketing on our end.

Pros

Goosechase is an interactive and innovative way to host trainings, games, and other engaging programming to student development, staff trainings, team buildings, etc. It is very simple to use and intuitive to the overall user. We love the system at our university!

Cons

Nothing has been difficult or a huge con. One thing I could say is to have more mission types added to increase the user experience.

### "Goosechase is great for engaging students in learning!"

August 13, 2023

5.0

As soon as I used it during an educator workshop, I immediately started using it in my high school classes where it is a fun and engaging way to review material or introduce a new topic.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to set up, user friendly, allows for multiple teams, has free educator version to try, allows administrator to see entries in real time and message participants

Cons

Only 5 teams can use it for the educator/free version which means I can only run a game during a class period if I want to use it again the same day. Having 5 teams as a max also means the teams are large and some students can be less engaged.

### "Scavenger Hunts as a program tool"

October 3, 2023

5.0

I enjoy organizing hunts for our community members but find it hard to keep them engaged. I keep trying to find ways to keep them interested because we enjoy organizing the hunts but it takes more time and effort than I have to do so. We are always exploring new ways to use the hunts and engage people and communities!

Pros

Easy to set up on the backend. Fun to see submissions and participation.

Cons

Games seem very one-sided. Participants can't see who likes their submissions and can't comment on submissions. Even if it was just the game organizers that could comment. Seems like people lose interest after a while. We don't have the time or staffing to send messages or add points for every submission. Also, the ability to share posts on Facebook would be nice. Promotional/how to videos with people in them may be helpful.

### "Goosechase Rocks!"

August 17, 2023

5.0

I've loved it! I've participated in and created/ran several games over the year and really love the platform!

Pros

I do love Goosechase! I've used it for team challenges and field trips for years. Field trips are some of my favorites to use it for. It creates so much engagement and I do love the ease of creating and saving games.

Cons

I think some of the setup features could be a bit more updated. My main critique as an educator is it being only app based. I teach 4th grade and we're in that inbetween. They're old enough where they use laptops, not ipads, but not old enough to have phones. So without an option to play the game online, I can't have students use it in class and I have to save it for things when I have adults.
