Pros I love how our participants are able to use the Goosechase app without having to create an account. We were able to add over 50 tasks and have our participants go explore the campus with the app. It was simple to use once you know how to use it. Cons The interface was confusing at time. I wish there was a section where we can add location. We did a scavenger hunt in different part of campus and I had to use the Mission Title as a location. It would be nice if that was included. Additionally, I wish that there a test run for our mission pack. I had to duplicate our actual scavenger hunt for our staff to test it out on campus before our event. Review Source KK Katie K. For example, if you are having a new employee orientation, this app is a great tool to create a scavenger hunt themed around the company policies and procedures and is a fun way to break the ice with new employees so they can learn the company's culture. Further, I like the easy to use features such as creating an activity quickly and the fact that the app is very mobile friendly. Also, automating notifications and mission releases to participants makes receiving real-time information convenient via the activity feed. Cons If you want to use GooseChase for recreational purposes, there is a free version available, which allows up to three players in team or individual mode. However, the pricing for more players requires a license per game per event. This can get a bit expensive for businesses who have budgetary concerns. Pros I like how active Goosechase is. It creates a sense of community for the users. Even though they are playing against each other, they like to help each other out. It is very easy to use, and allows things to be more creative. Cons This could be user error, but I think that setting up a Goosechase for timed posts is a little difficult. Pros I have used Goosechase in the classroom. I used it as an activity before Christmas break to keep the students engaged. I added in review questions to keep it educational. I would highly recommend Goosechase to anyone for teambuilding scavenger hunts and potentially in the classroom. Pros Goosechase was extremely easy to set up, organize and use. It really added a tremendous amount of live fidelity to our teambuilding competition. Cons I would like for there to be an option where Mission timing stamps were added - so you can tell which team finished first and the option to auto add points based on time of completion. Students love to use their phones and be independent so we were able to let them explore on their own while completing their mission and we were able to keep track of them on the "news feed" feature. It kind of brings that Instagram feel to a scavenger hunt activity. Pros GooseChase is very user friendly and has a great bank of premade scavenger hunts as well as allowing the user to create their own. I love the live feed feature that allows the monitor to observe the competition in real-time. I also like that I can download all the submitted pictures and videos so that I can use them in other sorts of media as well. Cons The one thing that was a con for me was that when ever a submission was made points were added no matter if the submission satisfied the mission or not. Review Source AS Amir S. I had missions that I really needed the team to be able to submit more than once. I wanted to be able to copy missions from the experience bank into my experience. I created a game in less than 20 minutes and I had a bank of tasks to select from. The dashboard was also helpful in following the game, assessing pictues and keeping up with the stats. Very well organized website. Pros It was super easy to navigate through, it was engaging and fun and it provided pictures which I was able to share with all of my staff after the activity.
