Powerpay makes handling all aspects of payroll very easy. Pros Ease of use and the historical record keeping. Very useful in applying for Government Covid Wage subsidies. When I call in for help the staff have always been very knowledgeable and helpful. They have always been able to answer my questions. Cons I cannot think of anything at this point that needs improvement. This may be because I have a very small payroll. Powerpay keep me informed to legislative changes. They provide good seminars. Pros User Friendly and great customer support. For the small amount of employees this is the prefect software for our payroll needs. Cons There is not anything I can think of that I did not like. Reason for choosing Dayforce Powerpay I had work with Powerpay at a previous job and found it easy to use. In comparison to ADP, Powerpay cost less and was less complicated than ADP's requirements. Also the Powerpay Sales Rep took the time to understand our unique needs. ADP didn't even try. Executive Director Consumer Goods Used the software for: 2+ years ### "PowerPay - Digital Change During COVID" December 11, 2020 5.0 Initially it was a bit confusing, however, one particular phone call with support and the person walked us through the process and suddenly it became much easier Pros Our organization was not on the full PowerPay program prior to COVID, so the movement on to the platform and with our staff working remotely, enabled our staff and organization keep up to date and currently on payroll activity during the pandemic. At a time when everyone is concerned for finances, cash flow and keeping their work flowing, PowerPay was a great help. Cons Our initial issues with the PowerPay were around not really knowing how the system and platform worked, so there was a learning curve in terms of utilizing the system to our best advantage. I've been a 25+ year client of Ceridian. Have In sync, payflex HPL and DF experience. The Power Pay team was awesome.. However client did not know what all there was available. Advanced Reporting feature was just turned on. Client did not utilize this as they didn't know. Set up clients GL as that was a manual. Import feeds created to optimize entry and remove rapid entry. automated some of the earnings code features. Cons Would like even more reporting capability. But the 24 advanced reporting turned on definitely gives the client more than what they were using. Pros The ability to automate payroll processes and make any required changes easily. The response to current government programs including information and built in customization, such as the new T4 earnings reporting this year-end: earnings for each CERB pay period are automatically generated for each employee. I also appreciate the year-end training provided each year, which covers legislative changes and general "how tos". Cons I honestly don't feel there are any features lacking that I would look for or have needed. Pros I like that it is very user friendly, everything is laid out nicely Cons there isn't to mush that I dislike. only issues I have had were a few times when I didn't log out correctly I wasn't able to log back in for about 20 min, it kept saying that someone else was logged in. I had a little trouble with both. I phoned PowerPay and was provided prompt and effecient support each time that I called. Cons When changing any setup I would prefer to know the options available and how they affect my choice. When I did have help I got answers right away and we were back up and running. I have mentioned Ceridian to others when asked about a good payroll program. Pros I like that the program is so user friendly. I can get my payroll completed with ease. Cons dislike I cannot save a new hire or Roe without filling it out in full. Ceridian has been making lots of changes lately to enhance the user experience and it shows! Cons Wish there were more basic reporting features available in Ceridian to easily run employee based reports. Also wished the enhanced reporting was easier to understand / navigate. Reason for choosing Dayforce Powerpay Not certain what was considered back in 2014 but since that time any other changes made for other companies has been based on Powerpay being the only option and we did not pursue others. This product suits our needs in terms of processing, customer support, features and cost. I like that this does the payroll deduction remittance and tax forms submission not to mention that it is user-friendly and customer service is always there if you need help. Cons We are doing bi-weekly payroll and for salaried employees you need to enter their bi-weekly rate and not their annual salary. But I guess this makes sense as sometimes there are 27 pays in a year (usually it is 26 pays in a year). Review Source CD Carson D. Cons Its a little bit expensive, and the implementation was not as easy as i had expected. Pros Ceridian Power Pay is simple to use, takes the headache out of doing your payroll. Easy to follow, and fantastic support. Cons In anything, there is always room for improvement, but what I love about Ceridian is that they are always evolving, always looking for ways to make the product better and ways to make your job easier! Reason for choosing Dayforce Powerpay I have used PowerPay (and versions of Ceridian) over many years. Each time I go to a new employer or client, I end up switching to Ceridian. Cons Some features used less often are difficult to navigate, ie issuing ROE, but call support has been very helpful to help navigate that task. PowerPay took the fear of transitioning by ensuring that we were set-up for success, eradicating the guesswork of remittances and year-end reports. When you first join PowerPay, you are assigned a personal assistant to orientate you, which was a HUGE asset (since I am not one to sit and read through manuals). Once I learned the system, it has been straightforward for regular payroll. However, my FAVORITE part about PowerPay is their customer service. I can ask any question and I ALWAYS get friendly, patient assistance. Pros Setting up a regular pay run, printing reports, accessing self-service is all great. We also appreciate the online tutorial videos. Cons I am not highly knowledgeable in payroll codes (since I am a small business owner thrust into this by necessity!), so I need assistance when setting up special cases (ex. a pay advance, ROE, etc).
