Our firm has been very successful over the past several years and I would happily attribute some of that success to the way in which Cool Running's team made our drivers' and accounting teams' role more effective and efficient. If an owner wants a report on how much we sold to a customer by driver or which routes are most profitable, then a click of a button and that information is available in real-time. Honestly, business today is all about speed and access to information, both of which Cool Runnings makes possible. We are more competitive, more efficient, and "smarter" given our relationship with Cool Runnings. Business leader to business leader, I strongly recommend this service. Pros The Cool Runnings software is modern, intuitive, and integrates well with QuickBooks. It allows for multiple admins and location geofencing for large, decentralized operations with huge customer pools and numerous drivers. The reporting systems are outstanding and we can track sales and service levels instantly. On the backend side, their customer service team is outstanding, and they take the time to help you learn the system step-by-step. The training videos are a phenomenal resource. The system is constantly upgraded to offer the best features and services available. We have not encountered any bugs or technical issues with this service. On top of all of these things, the price is extraordinary reasonable in comparison to other comparable apps. We have been absolutely pleased with this service across the board! Cons We do not utilize all the available services or reporting that we could or should with this app. It is not a reflection on Cool Runnings, but simply a failing on our part. If there is a con in there, it is that the app has too many reports and services available to its users and it is hard to keep up with the advances in technology in a fast-paced industry. That said, their service team does a really great job at focusing our energies on the most important aspects and simply reminds us about the other options available to us if needed. Orders and Routes. This is the bulk of our day to day delivery management. Cool Running has a great routing system and the live updating of routes to devices is a great feature. 2. Support. Our entire business revolves around Cool Running, therefore support is very important for us when we need it, and \[sensitive content hidden\] always goes above and beyond to assist with any questions or issues we have. We have been using the system for over a decade and we are happy to see the direction it is going. 3. Constant development. There is always new development and it is usually catered to solve day to day issues that we already face as an ice company, so it continues to add value as more than just a delivery management system. Cons The only time we have any issues with Cool Running are if there are technical bugs that need to be fixed. But they are often dealt with swiftly and we see very little down time. Pros What I like most about Cool Runnings is the ability to see our day to day operations in one area, I can see what sales are made, where our crew is & make adjustments all in one system. Cons The GEO coding would be my least favorite aspect of the system, with our company being in a rural area it tends to put our locations way off the map. Plus, the entire system is tailored to the ice sales industry, which makes it a perfect fit for our business. It really addresses the specific needs of our market, and that’s something I truly appreciate. Pros What I’ve liked the most about Cool Running is how comprehensive and user-friendly it is. The order management module is excellent—it streamlines the entire process, making it much easier to track and manage orders efficiently. The route management module has also been a huge help, allowing us to optimize routes and save time and resources. Cons One of the few drawbacks I’ve encountered is that the web platform is not translated into Spanish. Since not all of our staff is fluent in English, this can be a bit of a challenge at times. Aside from that, we haven’t faced any significant issues. The system has been quite efficient and user-friendly overall. It really helped minimize the amount of time we were using by putting in all ice invoices by hand. Pros The customer service is fantastic. If I have an issue, I can call \[sensitive content hidden\] and he is always available. They also get bugs fixed pretty quickly once notified. Cons Sometimes the routing can be time consuming, but that's mainly due to the fact that we get large orders in last minute. The large orders cause us to constantly change our routes. I always feel the passion in the product, and that we're getting the best service from people who know what they're doing and do it well. They have a lot of experience in the ice industry, and it shows. We also benefit from the on-going additions and upgrades to the software as it helps us grow and get more efficient. Pros Having an overall smoother routing process. Once we plug a customer account into its zone, schedule, and template the rest is easy and gives us more times for other tasks. Cons Transitioning our employees and getting used to what Cool Running had and didn't have compared to our previous software was the largest struggle we had.
