Upon entering Gleam gathers the users name, demographics and primary email. The Gleam software uses the “win a drawing” technique by permitting users to accumulate more new points/entries towards the Companies Prize Product and seamlessly cuts directly through to the users Social Media Aps such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I have never won anything through a Gleam facilitated competition, so whether or not they ever have a prize is unknown by me. Pros Gleam software is used by many online companies who seek to promote their service, industry or items. Typically, in my experience, one sees an advertisement, saying “Please press the link to Enter”. Upon entering Gleam gathers the users name, demographics and primary email. Cons Gleam is often not enjoyable, as it can often lead the user back to the beginning, not counting the accumulated points and causing the user to redo each step of the entry process again. Pros It's very easy to set up and deploy and has a wide range of different entry mechanisms and different types of functionality. Cons There is VERY little you can do to disguise that this is a Gleam app and everything you do tends to look the same. It's not necessarily a bad thing but if you are looking for deep customisation of the look and feel, this may not be for you. There may be ways to do it by modifying style sheets or javascript but if you're looking to make changes in a high level user interface, you are limited to images, colours and icons. However, I loathe the process that Gleam puts me through in order to complete the giveaway. Pros What I like about this software from an enduser’s experience is that it collects my data, stores it, and allows me to use it in my next user experience. I also like that it helps me to enter giveaways and sends me to all of the merchant Web sites with ease. Cons What I like least is that with giveaways, the software sends me to merchant sites to like or follow their social media pages with no clear or simple way back to the software site to finish entering the giveaway. We try to open merchant/social media pages in a new tab/window but on some in-app browsers (Facebook, Instagram, etc) they don't allow multiple windows. Our recommendation is to leave that in-app browser (usually an option down the bottom) an open it in your normal browser. AD Adam D. It's been amazing getting new followers across social media and gaining new newsletter subscribers. Pros We use the contest portion and love it. It's so easy and user friendly. It's helped expand our e-mail list by a few thousand this year alone. Cons I wish there was a little bit more that I could do on the Pro version, but what I am able to do works well. Pros The system is initially very easy to use and understand. It's easy to also quickly create a new giveaway. Cons The thing I like the least is their non-requirement of an official rules page. There are many organizations that are creating phony giveaways without any official rules info or pages. Gleam needs to require some basic official rules info such as company name and contact. Not requiring this info makes their app a potential haven for con artists. Reason for choosing Gleam Apps Kingo Sumo has a nice clean interface but they have taken too long to roll out their updated server addition. Shortly after, I founded vLoot.io and Gleam.io has been the backbone of our website ever since as all of our on-site giveaways run using their giveaway tool. For the last few years, I've been using their Pro plan for the Gleam Competitions and the Gleam Rewards feature and I'm more than happy with the different campaign entry methods and possibilities that this tier gives me access to. In late 2021, I joined their small Beta Tester Discord Server where several Staff members were active when it came to listening to your feedback/questions and helping you accordingly. I've reported performance related issues and visual problems here in the past and had a developer get back to me who fixed the issue within a reasonable time frame - their official support channels satisfied me as well in the two instances where I contacted them in all these years. One of my favorite experiences with Gleam was actually when their \[sensitive content hidden\] manually looked into an issue that I was facing with fake accounts entering my giveaways and manually sorted out a solution to resolve this problem for me. There are no real issues I've had with Gleam aside from the few mentioned brief performance or visual bugs that get resolved quickly and I can confidently recommend you to make use of their service if you would like to commercially run giveaways and reward campaigns as there's no better tool out there as of right now. For non-profit companies or smaller businesses/influencers, their free tier should do a good job when it comes to giving you a taste of what Gleam campaigns are capable of. Pros Una de las cosas que mas me gusta de Gleam es la cantidad de opciones que ofrece para que los participantes puedan entrar en los sorteos, incluso varias plantillas incluyen algunas funciones que no estan disponibles en laversion gratuita y que se pueden aprovechar perfectamente. Cons La principal desventaja que he encontrado en Gleam es que a pesar de contar con muchas funciones que podemos utilizar, muchas de estas no son del todo personaliszables como por ejemplo los formularios. The interface is very simple and easy to understand, and it shows you how many entries you have earned out of how many are possible on the top. Overall very efficient software for giveaways and contests. Pros This software allows you to enter into contests and giveaways by collecting entries. It has a list of tasks with the number of entries you will earn for completing beside each one. Once you click on and complete a task, it is checked off and your entries are added together on the top. Cons What I liked least is that most of the tasks for the giveaways I have entered through this software involve signing up for newsletters and liking and following certain pages on social media. This leads to a lot of spam and cluttered news feeds. This isn't really a problem with the software though, except for the fact that it does what it is supposed to do. It is a wonderful application to use, however we opted for another service due to the high cost. Pros What I enjoy most about Gleam is how effective it is for give aways. It allows for users to link to, follow, and subscribe to multiple give-away sponsors, track entries, and more. Cons What I like least is that when using Gleam through third party apps like IG and Facebook, the app will open new browser windows in order to send you to sponsor Web sites, but, then, does not offer the clearest way back to the actual browser for the give-away.
