As an accounting company with various design and build customers on Houzz Pro, we use it indirectly by virtue of managing our client’s books rather than using the platform ourselves. Easy clients are those with ordinary projects as far as bookkeeping goes, and the platform manages all their accounting information for us. The tough clients are those with heavy traffic and expensive projects that make us spend extra time reconciling QuickBooks entries and clearing payments because of the cap. Security-wise, the platform's basic measures to safeguard information and protect user portals have been sufficient enough for our needs, although I would recommend anyone considering this to check how it stacks against their requirements. Customer service has always been satisfactory in answering basic queries through email and messaging, although complicated synchronization problems may take time to solve. In conclusion, I recommend this software to accountants dealing with small and medium-sized design-build firms but must caution about spending additional time reconciling QuickBooks transactions.

Pros

In terms of accounting, the most valuable feature of the Houzz Pro service is the fact that our clients' billing and payments, along with the project finances, are all organized in one system rather than residing in individual documents or scattered spreadsheets. Assuming that everything works properly when syncing with QuickBooks, then there is sufficient information coming through for us to be able to recognize transactions rather than having to recreate them. Payments and approvals from the client side are managed through one portal, thus making it easier for us to follow the trail of any deposits or milestone payments down to the signed contract. Our small design and remodel clients have found it much simpler to keep track of finances with time and billing managed together.

Cons

Syncing QuickBooks remains the issue at hand. It seems the new iteration of the platform brings with it issues of transactions being uploaded incorrectly, creating a tedious process of reconciling line by line, not knowing whether the fault lies with us or with QuickBooks. Another hindrance lies with the method of paying: fees incurred from using ACH payments, coupled with the maximum fee charged on each project, can cause a large project for our clients to be broken into smaller parts that may create problems when matching the deposit to the invoice at month end. Still a strong tool overall. The core features like 3D planning and estimating work really well, but slower support and a few limitations bring it down slightly.

Pros

The 3D floor planning is still the standout feature and helps a lot with closing deals. Estimating is straightforward, and using templates saves time on repeat work.

Cons

Customer support has gotten noticeably slower, sometimes taking 1 to 2 days to respond instead of minutes. Also still missing some small features like custom invoice numbering, and 3D measurements can be off at times.

I've loved working on the platform. The team has been so helpful and its a really easy seamless process. The team is also constantly taking our feedback and making upgrades and I am so grateful to them for it.

Pros

This is my all-in-one platform as a designer. Not only does it give my clients a transparent dashboard to access, but it also helps keep my focus on design and reduces project management redundancies as a designer!

Cons

I could use more design detail capabilities in the 3D. Books on a bookshelf styled, the ability to drape blankets over a chair/sofa. Things like that.

Pros

I really appreciate that it is easy to navigate, and is always supplying me with ideas for what to do next.

Cons

I find that the price is a bit high, especially for a small business. While I would like to say it is made an enormous difference in our work flow, the benefit may not outweigh the cost thus far.

After spending approximately $6k almost 60 days ago my company is still using our old CRM and Microsoft products. \[sensitive content hidden\] is our "Client Onboarding Specialist" and we've had (1) 45 Minute intro session and (1) 30 minute session. No structure for truly setting up a company. You must watch videos on youtube or their directory in order to learn the platform. The problem here is that the videos showcase stuff you can't access (or the videos are outdated and need to be removed from their directory). I've asked for a new onboarding specialist in hopes of learning how to properly setup my company on this platform since I've invested $6k, but after 8 days my request has only received a "Hello, Thank you for getting back to me. I apologize for the late response. We have been out of office for a long weekend due to the holiday. I am in talks with management on this and will get back to you once I hear back from them. Thank you for your patience.". I used other CRM's and the onboarding process is thorough and the team helps set you up for success. Houzz Pro is the exact opposite. They act like you are an inconvenience to them. Poor onboarding structure and customer service. I know the product is probably great, but its impossible to run a company and become proficient in something without a proper training. I wish I knew this was a self taught system prior to investing because we would have went with a different company.

Pros

The pitch given by the salesperson was great. Daniel Guither showcased the platforms tools very well. The 3-D Floor Plans are a great way to showcase the design, custom templates, easy payment collection for clients, integration with quickbooks, they also help with website management, etc.

Cons

The onboarding is atrocious. Plan on dedicated at least 50-80 hours just to get the setup in the system and learn how to navigate it on a very elementary level. This is only learning how to use approximately 10% of the system. Another major issue is reaching someone at the company. You get sent in circles. I've reached out to the Sales Rep over a dozen times and he refuses to acknowledge and email or phone call. Big on promises but refuses to follow through on any of them.

I would never use them again if i wasn't signed into a year contract. They promise you the world but their support is the worst. They charge for any support. The "account manager" assigned to you is always unhelpful and always booked out at least a week.

Pros

Ability to 3d scan locations. payment processing is easy and nice. I like integrations for alternative payment methods.

Cons

Contracts is a mess. Completely unusable. Support is a nightmare. Invoicing doesn't work properly cant import or export templates for invoicing. Promised the world but they don't live up to expectation.

Not what i expected. Horrible experience with the way they say you signed a contract. But they know you didn’t. But i'll be following up to show you guys how i'm going to make an example out of these guys and their predatory methods.

Pros

Very disappointed!, I cancelled my free trial, they still charged me a contract we didn’t sign. now we going to send this over to our attorney. Since they believe they can give this a test drive to see if it's real.

Cons

They have potential, but the predatory methods to hook users is going to come to an end very soon,..

I feel the design portion was great but the customer service and marketing section is not worth it. For $700 a month we could of paid for google ads, home advisor or evens signs that would work better. They aren't allowing us to cancel even though they way over promised and not delivering.

Pros

the design was okay. other programs are equivalent for less. We wanted to use this for marketing and gaining more customers, but we had maybe 2 customers we sent estimates too which resulted in no work due to how many other contractors they can go to off the same site.

Cons

Our business was charged and being sent to collections after being charged over $700 a month for no results

Pros

Houzz Pro has an exceptionally user-friendly interface and its impressively comprehensive suite of features. These two elements were absolutely pivotal in my decision to subscribe to the platform. Specifically, the intuitive design and extensive functionality have significantly streamlined my daily workflow, allowing me to manage projects with unprecedented efficiency and organization.

That it doesn't have the ability to save/recall original estimates, only shows the new estimate with the new changes.
