Cons Dealing with tools that stop working and how the burry the help tools and how we only get help during weekdays. The price has tripled in the last 2 years. When you used the 3d tool it glitches and is it getting true measurement. Then you have take hours to correct the scanned walls and cabinets. Having enough build tools for design no ceiling elevations for seconds of homes . The "account manager" assigned to you is always unhelpful and always booked out at least a week. Pros Ability to 3d scan locations. payment processing is easy and nice. I like integrations for alternative payment methods. Cons Contracts is a mess. Completely unusable. Support is a nightmare. Invoicing doesn't work properly cant import or export templates for invoicing. Promised the world but they don't live up to expectation. Costs did get a little high for me so I had to drop the website management, but still feel as though Houzz offers so many tools to keep my projects managed, organized and in a snapshot format I can check in on. Cons Cost can be a little on the high side and coordinating how to use all the different tools so you are redundant in their use. Some tools can be a little tricky to get the hang of. Tracking field time is doable but we havent sorted through the details yet, \[sensitive content hidden\] will help with that. Same with selection boards and mood boards. Pros Efficiency and marketing value. The lidar scan technology and the ability to transfer that quickly into a 3d mockup and an estimate/contract is essential. \[sensitive content hidden\] has been awesome with the onboarding thing, helping us get comfortable with new software. I like that our guys in the fiend can see product codes, selection photos, and scope of work along with a ridiculously easy navigation capability. We are still working on the email templates, but that shows promise as well. Cons It's not always easy or intuitive to get things done. For example, converting a lidar scan to a 2d image so takeoff and estimate can be pulled from it, the estimating process is easy but miss just one step out of several and you can't recover. Vice President Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "I got scammed" January 9, 2025 1.0 Attention all contractors: Do Not Use Houzz. An absolutely atrocious platform. Their customer support is virtually nonexistent. Took almost 2 months to get a reply to my email about a simple customer support issue. Before signing up for Houzz Pro, I was informed we could increase or decrease our monthly spend as we please. After signing up and not getting the results we were hoping for, I asked to decrease our monthly spend by decreasing the number of regions where our profile is being promoted. Now they're telling me that's impossible and the best they can do is allow me to pay off the whole year in one lump sum payment of $13,000. I would not recommend Houzz Pro to anyone. There are much better things to spend your money on if you need leads. Houzz Pro has no intention of helping small businesses grow, and are a predatory company complicit in conning us, among many other companies, out of thousands of dollars. Pros Nothing. Can't think of one good thing about Houzz Pro. Cons Complete lack of customer service, we are paying for Houzz pro to get leads but they rarely if ever send leads, and when they do the leads are awful. I ended up being charged $4,000 up front for an annual lead service—something the sales rep never clearly explained. The scanning software barely worked (maybe 10% of the time), and I received maybe 2 leads per month, most of which were low quality. When I reached out to customer service to understand the $4,000 charge, I got zero support or resolution. This was a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to other contractors. If you’re considering Houzz Pro, make sure to get everything in writing and confirm that you won’t be charged up front without clear consent. The feature added and troubleshooting has helped to keep my costs down so I don’t have to have multiple apps to manage Pros Project management. Having everything in one place has been great. It is expensive and not worth the investment. Very disappointed in what could be a really good software. Pros Product (software) is just ok and the customer service and leadership is terrible. I am only giving the 2 stars because the software is promising however the leadership and a customer service is absolutely disappointing and terrible. The whole lead generation portion I purchased is 100% a waste of money. Never do it again and I would recommend that you don't either. I had issues with getting my money using their credit card service and again no leadership just a bunch of excuses. Cons Terrible customer service. The client design consultation process can be lengthy, especially when clients have difficulty visualizing their space. But, the model display and ability to edit while in consultation has proven to shorten the design process and improve client satisfaction and confidence in us to deliver the house of their dreams. Pros The ability to interact with my colleagues, shareholders and clients on Houzz has been an invaluable experience which has helped us deliver to our clients a more transparent view of the design and build process. Being able to illustrate my design concepts and calculate take offs in one platform has given me a substantial improvement on efficiency, allowing myself and my team to complete a greater number of projects to the same and even higher standard of care. Not only this, but the ability to amalgamate our scheduling and budget into the same platforms allows all of our team access to the information they need without having to search multiple platform or documents for the information they need. Cons Like every software, there is a learning curve. Thankfully, due to its simple and accessible interface, becoming familiar with Houzz Pro doesn't take nearly as long to become well versed in compared to other similar software. There are some softwares that are highly customizable which is nice but can take a long time to set up. While Houzz Pro doesn't have that level of highly customizable options, it does allow you to get started faster and re-orient your use of the platform in the future.
