### "Comprehensive software"

Pros

I really appreciate the project management side, being able to send invoices and proposals digitally that look professional and keep everything in one place is extremely valuable. I also use it to power my website which looks professional and connects to my profile. They are constantly adding and making improvements to the software which is really good.

Cons

It is a big outgoing each month and there is still a lot of features that i don't use, but overall I am pleased with it.

### "Not the same Houzz it use to be"

we do not have a need for all the additional services as we already have an established business with a website and email already set up, as well as an invoicing system, calendar, etc. especially since not a lot of our clients are from houzz. When this was strictly a platform to showcase your work for potential projects, we received many projects from direct messages. But since everything changed years ago, we continue to struggle to actually get any response from anyone.

This was a great place to showcase projects to gain potential clients

Cons

Ever since the first changes were made, when they started to prompt potential clients with a survey asking them about their project, we quite receiving direct messages. We stopped getting people seeking us out because they saw our profile and wanted us specifically. Instead, they are now inundated with multiple calls from all the designers who received the potential project, which I'm sure is frustrating on their part. Many times (most) when we call those potential clients, we never even get an answer. We leave a message, we follow up with an email through Houzz, and almost never hear from any of them. The ones we do actually get to speak with again, usually don't go anywhere, and those few that actually meet with us, end because they do not have a realistic budget (or not the budget they suggested they have on their survey). We use to receive multiple high end whole home projects, but recently the only projects we get are single room, or just accessories.

### "Areas for Improvement"

Overall, it has been an okay experience. The program is good but in the 4 years I have been paying I have only had 1 prospective client become a client and completed a project. I think that the idea is to pay more to get more areas but so far, I have not been able to the money I have invested in Houzz.

Pros

I like that the program is easy to use. \[sensitive content hidden\], my sales rep has made all the difference and always convinces me to keep renewing the membership. She is very prompt to reply all of my questions.

Cons

I feel that most of the clients are not serious about their projects. It bothers me that I take the time to reply to their inquiry and they do not even acknowledge it. When I call sometimes, they act surprised. It would be great to ask the prospective client how serious or if they are just searching for ideas.I have met with several prospective clients, and I feel they just wanted my ideas and then hired a contractor to implement them.I would like a better program to draw and present to clients with a better selection of furnishings. The design program only has a limited selection of furnishings. It could be more user friendly.Calls:I do not pick-up unknown numbers, it would be ideal that if a Houzz Rep is calling because they have a match on the phone, that the id says Houzz says HOUZZ, so I know to pick it up.

### "Houzz Pro Extends Our Reach "

Houzz has become a resource for us to drive traffic to our website as well, with Google Analytics we have seen the traffic to our website from Houzz increase which has been great to see. I think one of the strongest features of Houzz is the images because it gives us a great opportunity to showcase our projects and stand out from other remodeling companies in our area. I do wish there was a way to include additional URL to gain even more website traffic, for example, being able to link to our kitchen & bath blog would be great.

Pros

The portfolio feature within Houzz is a great way to drive traffic to our website and to move forward with booking an initial consultation. Having the ability to message us through Houzz to discuss their project is another great feature, again helping us to pre-screen leads and determine if moving forward with an initial consultation makes sense based on what they are looking to accomplish in their home. For the most part, we have had success with these leads.

Cons

While the link to our website is helpful to have as is the portfolio. If there was a way for us to showcase our 360 tours of our kitchen and bath projects, I think that would captivate visitors to our profile even more. I also have found that the Houzz project match leads haven't matched our scope of work, making them cold leads for us.

### "Great for a small business."

Notes from "Billing and Invoice" section on previous page: (I needed to delete these comments in order to continue to this page). I like the option to create and use templates to customize my invoices. It's nice to add a logo, but once you add it, you have to replace it with another image. I wish there was an option to set the invoice due date to always be on the 1st of each month or 4 weeks from the day of the invoice being sent. I also feel it is redundant to have two due dates listed on the invoice. Currently, I have to toggle back to edit the invoice because the date didn't update. Once an invoice is sent, it would be nice to automatically return to the all invoices page.

Pros

Fantastic new layout!! I can see improvements have been made since I started with Houzz Pro.

Cons

The time keeping and invoicing needs to improve.

I signed up to design floor plans not realizing I was signing up for a CRM and making a YEAR LONG COMMITMENT! It works okay for designing floor plans.

In depth software but we are only using it for brand awareness and to drive in more leads. Too early to tell if it will give a good ROI for us, but the mapping for leads is comparable to how we target on Google. Customer service has been fast and good so far.

Cons

Little pricey and doesn't play well with our other software - Hubspot.

Overall, it's been a positive experience, and I recommend it to other interior designers. It's great to have this industry-specific functionality and connection to the primary platform that homeowners to go to for inspiration. My clients enjoy their dashboard functionality.

Pros

I like that it's developed for common tasks and processes of an interior design firm and that it integrates with QuickBooks. I like that the development team is constantly asking for feedback and making improvements. I like my Account Rep and can rely on him to help me resolve issues quickly - he's top notch! I like the new Selection Board functionality.

Cons

The monthly subscription fee covers the use of HouzzPro and being listed in Houzz as an interior designer in my target market. I pay 5x the monthly QuickBooks Online subscription amount for HouzzPro. I get very few leads from Houzz. So I am evaluating the use of it going forward. Even after improvements in the floorplanning and mood board functionality in HouzzPro, we still use 3rd party apps for those things since they have better functionality for what we need (i.e., my iGuide scans can download into my 3rd party floorplanning software, etc.)

I had to move fast and everything from tools to customer support has enabled me to do a lot quickly. To add, Houzz Pro tech support is fantastic. I've requested features that are being reviewed by the technical team and I haven't received any follow up on those but overall an excellent suite of tools.

I am at a 50% right now. There are features that I love, and again, features that surprisingly are absent.

Pros

I've found the online chat feature on Houzz to be incredibly helpful. It's become my go-to whenever I have questions while browsing the platform.

Cons

Several features that I believe should be standard offerings are either absent or require cumbersome workarounds within the Houzz platform. Despite being assured that user feedback is integral to driving improvements, none of the suggestions I've provided have been implemented to date.

### "One Stop Design Business Management "

My experience has being great, I started using Houzz more as a marketing tool, but as I discover the massive amount of tools it provides, I run my entire business from it.

Pros

I have being a user since I open my studio 4 years ago. Over the years I have being very surprised many times as they keep making the workflow more intuitive and keep adding features that make my work much more easier. I can definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their design management and client communication tools. I am sure once you use it you hardly would want to use anything else.

Cons

Houzz continues to improve constantly, so I have the good feeling they they will address some glitches that come here and there. I am not super fan of their calendar appointment integration, I think there is a lot of room for improvement there, it isn't reliable, luckily I add my other booking links to my Houzz templates to overcome this.. and it works for me

### "HouzzPro is invaluable to my growing business"

HouzzPro allows me to have one dedicated program for my interior design projects. New features roll out all the time based on requests from designers.

Pros

My favorite tool is the Augmented Reality walk through. Every time a client sees my designs with this feature, all hesitation or nervousness on making major changes melts away. It gives them the confidence to visualize the end result right from the start. They love their finished spaces before the first hammer swings. It is an invaluable tool - and I can create them fast! I like to scan the existing spaces, but I could also upload my .dwg files.Another of my favorite features is the Client Dashboard. It is a dedicated space for communication, documentation, financial payments, daily logs and timeline. They can review the project from anywhere on their devices and all the information is in one place. Clients get the convenience of texting and I don't have my professional texts mixed in with personal texts. Plus, all our communication is visible for my whole team to review.

Cons

Some of the features are designed by software engineers with little regard to how many clicks it takes for a user to get to the detail they want to update. They are working on that & are very responsive to this type of feedback.

For some of these, HouzzPro rolled out a feature that so closely matched the function, they became obsolete to my business. -- For Quickbooks, at one time I used it to send out proposals and invoices, but with the ability to add images to each item, group by room, etc. HouzzPro's client-facing documents were a better option for me. So now I only use QB online to manage bookkeeping.

I'm paying the annual fee that I was paying with IVY, but I wouldn't pay extra unless the features are improved. If my annual fee were to go up, I would cancel and find something else.

Right now I'm pretty exhausted after working all day on several projects, but I will do my best with this. It seems that all the prospects I receive are wanting to do quite a bit of work, after being in their homes for all these months; but don't have the budget to do what they want, so even though I give a free consultation on the phone and answer all their questions. I really need some better prospects and am wondering if I need to update my website, but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] thinks it's great. Should I not mention working within their budget? I am getting all the cheapskates it seems! i understand people are worried; so am I!! I also just the other day, tried to make some verbal improvements but it didn't tell me I had run over the 2500 word limit until I finished it, and so it didn't save any of it. I talked to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] about this and he told me to send what I wanted to write to him. Please look this over for me if you really want to help.I know Houzz keeps him pretty busy! Could someone else look my website over and make some suggestions. ? I think a longer video with music would be better..the one you have put on there is too short. Please advise me on that.. But I can honestly say that I have investigated other companies and nothing compares to your Professional program!! I really like almost all of the features for Houzz Pro. I also really appreciate my dedicated account manager..\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]...He always tries to call back ASAP and is very upbeat and helpful!! Please keep the prospect description short. In my opinion it should always fill just ONE sheet so it can be copied and followed up on until we get results of some kind.. and the phone number should show with it. Sometimes when I click on it, the screen changes, and I have to go find the phone number by clicking on Leads and going through putting the name in just to get the phone number. It's hard to describe, but that's it has recently started tot be a problem.. Otherwise it is very easy to work with. Please keep it informative, but short.

Yes the REVIEW section could be improved. I have had several people have trouble in trying to give me a review, even though I have sent them a request for it from my end using their email address! Please make it easier for the client to leave a review. Second: I always send an email immediately after trying to call the lead. I NEVER have had a prospect say they received it! . there must be a fault in what Houzz puts as a Subject line, but they don't open it or receive it and reply to me. At that point, this is the ONLY way we can get in touch with some of them especially if the phone number is busy or incorrect. ! Please improve it and get it to the prospect right away. That would help a lot! What is happening here?

My doma barely had any funtionality, Studio Designer was too complicated with way too much room for error. I have been very happy with Houzz and excited to see the new funtionality when it launches soon. I don't love the connection to Houzz. I don't use Houzz as a marketing tool as all. Its also confusing to clients as to what Houzz Pro is and how its related to Houzz for consumers.

Overall we are very happy with Houzz and hope to be able to continue being one of their Houzz Pro clients.

Pros

I like how it has evolved into a design focused platform, and how its focusing on helping professionals manage businesses. Our primary interest in Houzz was to have an additional portfolio that could be easily found by prospective clients. Next our focus was keeping up to date with customer satisfaction. Currently we have found better and better clients who have found us through Houzz. This company has definitely focused on improving itself.

Cons

The cost is a bit too high for us currently.

I really like how it is an "all in one" system for everything you might need including 3D renderings, mood boards, project management, clients contact system, and a lot more. In the past I have had to have multiple systems to manage my business and with Houzz Pro I am covered.

Pros

Houzz Pro is a great place for designers to run their entire business from. We love that we can track everything for each project, invoices, time & expenses, client projects, and more.

Cons

I wish there was a contact management system for prospects.

I love working with my Houzz Associate! \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is the most helpful representative I've ever had since the early days of using Houzz. With the new changes that come through every month, he takes the time to help me take full advantage of my membership!

Pros

I love the image integration of Houzz Pro and the referral system improvements. I now have more specific client leads that are closer to who we remodel for. Houzz Ideabooks are our favorite tool, but we have also been early adopters of both Houzz and Ivy and their client proposal/invoicing program. I am looking forward to more developments of the merger of the two companies.

Cons

When Houzz makes a development change it isn't always for the good of the users. However, when I speak to my Houzz Associate directly, they will walk through my concern and take it back to tech support if something that I found critical changed and find a work around or have it come back.

### "Way to Grow... with Houzz Pro!"

Genuinely no real complaints! I started with Houzz pro even before I had a formally established business and it allowed me to scale my operations with the vast resources it provides. I will always recommend it to others

Pros

The versatility of it is one that I often share with my colleagues. From the Room Scanner to the Scheduling. It really aims to be an end-to-end user product for managing a project full cycle.

Cons

That I have to purchase multiple seats for each user in my organization. I would like if it had the option to link items in my estimate to industry pricing or to connect with certain vendors or a pricing matrix such a Home Depot etc. Also there are times when I outsource my takeoff and estimating and i get my data back in excel - It would be great if Houzz was setup to parse the data from some columns so I can send the estimate from the Houzz platform.

### "Efficient and Easy To Use"

Overall it is a great software. It did have a bit of a learning curve which is to be expected when learning new software; however, that learning curb did take much to get past. Plus, having Negela our rep be easily reached and her responding quickly has certainly helped with the overall experience of this software.

Pros

I enjoy using communication tools. I also like that the software allows for the storage of documents in files that my clients can always have access to even when my office is closed. Creating proposals, estimates, and invoices is very simple as well.

Cons

What I like least about the software, is the messaging tab. When typing a message under the messaging tab, the typing lags. It will lag so much that I will sometimes have to sit and wait for the typing to catch up. I have found that when I send a message through the overview tab, I do not have this issue; however, when scrolling through what I've typed in the overview tab, the scroll forces my type to go above the message tab or below - I can never get the message box to center my typing. I am forced to type a portion of the message without seeing what I typed, then when I am finished, I have to manually scroll through and correct any mistakes that I made. I find it more efficient to correct as I go; however, it is hard to do so when the message box forces the scroll to go up or down.

We do like the system overall! The client facing system is professional; however, there are several enhancements we are waiting for to make this a one stop shop for our clients and our projects.

Pros

We love the room boards and file storage.

Cons

There is a LONG way to go to get the Selections Reports we need without doctoring the documents we export from HP. Also... the online payment options are confusing and have caused us to look foolish as it is not easy to navigate for our clients.

The lead generation is appreciated but confusing. Too much calling, emailing, texting. I try to contact most leads but few return my calls or emails. Sometimes they are confused as to why I am calling. Some, I think, just tell HOUZZ something because they got too far into the query.

Pros

After almost 10 years with HOUZZ I feel the cost is worth it. We have a large metropolitan area we include in our advertising. The ability to show potential customers our projects is the number 1 reason we use it. Although many features have been added, the only other one we use is the lead generating aspect. It takes attention and time but we do get some good leads that turn into projects.

Cons

All of the added features are included in other software we already use such as DropBox , Quickbooks, and Asana. Starting over did not make sense for us. I have looked at some of the features but they appeared to take too much time to get started.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

At the time I considered Porch - as I remember - but HOUZZ much better and more popular.

### "Need more time using it through an entire project cycle"

So far, I really like it.

Pros

The estimating / CRM / Project Management. Just need more time using it although it would be nice to have a seperate place for putting together materials, poroducts and labor for each line item in the estimate. i.e.: Be able to put together 20' of exterior wall with all the materials, Products, labor along with their quantities and costs to produce a Price per SQ. Ft. or L.F. In which can be used in the estimates although can be updated when needed. I hope I described enough to where you will know what I am getting at.

Cons

The fact that my wife has been on a rampage lately. LOL Actually just need more time with the product.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

The entire platform is one of a kind and not like any other in which I have come across so far. It is so much easier to use and with the products / manufacturers it's just really an original idea.
