### "It's ok, but the new 3.0 has not been an upgrade for us."

February 22, 2023

3.0

There are aspects that work great, but there is much left to be done under 3.0. The broken sync with Quickbooks is nearly a showstopper for us because of the impact to our finances when they get things wrong. The support team tries to be helpful, but there is only so much they can do with the bad code in the product.

Pros

It's geared for the industry which is nice, but it seems with each new "upgrade" they are not listening to customers and resulting in bad or cumbersome UX experiences.

Cons

The syncing with Quickbooks breaks everyday under 3.0 projects. Invoices say they sync, but they don't. Bills don't get created even though Houzz says it did, invoices keep syncing non-taxable items as taxable. I've had to hire someone to manually fix the numerous issues with 3.0 just in syncing to QBO.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

At the time Houzz had the better product. That is rapidly becoming no longer the case as they competitor products have improved while Houzz is struggling.

### "Houzz is our 1 Stop Platform"

November 3, 2022

5.0

Houzz makes me want to hit my desk and get to work. They give us the professional front that we want while making it easy to manage all parts of the process from design to enjoy!

Pros

There is a lot... everything we could ever need and I don't worry about platforms integrating. It's integrated!

Cons

There is a lot to learn! The curve is big, but the support is incredible! So don't let the amount of learning stop you. Once you have all of the parts of the platform running it is seamless and extremely valuable.

### "Satisfied but has room for improvements"

March 3, 2022

4.0

Houzz Pro has been imperative for creating mood boards and sending professional customized invoices to my clients. The program has also be great for tracking each project through the phases of construction and keeping me on track with the project budget.

Pros

Tracking projects and getting approval for purchasing are both great tools that I use on a daily basis. Creating mood boards with links to the merchandise is also a great tool that I use often. It's nice that as clients approve items for purchase the budget used updates.

Cons

I wish a cut list for all approved items could be created with link and prices. Also, the 3D drawing tool is great but I wish it were more user friendly. It would be nice to draw and input the exact dimensions instead of having to stretch walls. I'm used to AutoCAD and so the 3D drawing seems a bit clumsy in comparison.

### "Still space to improve"

May 12, 2023

4.0

In my opinion, Houzz Pro software has been a mixed bag. While it offers valuable features for project management and the support is commendable, there are notable drawbacks. The software has encountered bugs and lacks essential design elements, causing frustration and a loss of trust. Lead generation has been subpar, with low-quality leads and unresponsiveness. The program's extensive capabilities are impressive, but the learning curve is steep. Overall, while there are positives, there is room for improvement in various areas to enhance the user experience.

Pros

Houzz Pro is an indispensable tool for our business, providing a comprehensive project-based software solution. Its wide range of features caters to our needs, including project selection, proposals, and seamless invoicing with clients. Moreover, the platform offers remarkable cost savings, as it delivers all these capabilities at a fraction of the cost, eliminating the hassle of converting funds to Canadian currency. One of the highlights is the Houzz Pro dashboard, which conveniently stores everything required for my projects, regardless of their scale. Additionally, the insightful analytics prove invaluable in tracking progress and identifying successful endeavors.

Cons

The learning curve may seem daunting, but the exceptional support provided makes it worthwhile. Don't let that discourage you from exploring the platform's immense value once everything is up and running smoothly. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. It would be beneficial to have the ability to edit or cancel items after issuing an invoice, and generating credit memos can be challenging. Additionally, it would be convenient if bank transfer payments were free of charge. The Houzz Pro software design program has some bugs and lacks key elements like stairs and fireplaces, which need fixing to regain trust. Customizing specific furniture pieces within the program would be a great addition.

### "Houzz Pro is one of the best investments I have made for my business!"

April 8, 2024

4.0

I have and will continue to tell me associates about Houzz. Great product!

Pros

The ease of use and setup were key for me when I first started. The staff was eager to help get me started and are still just a phone call away when I need help or have questions. The estimating "program" is extremely helpful... I use it every day! The "Layout" and 3D design "program" is awesome for when I design a new kitchen or bathroom renovation.

Cons

Sometimes the updates and changes to the programs throw me for a loop, however, the staff always help get me back on track.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

I liked what was offered as far as the estimating and design programs, also the Houzz representative, Marie, was extremely informative, patient and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and was able to elaborate further to help me understand what Houzz offered.

My experience with Houzz Pro has been very good and it keeps getting better. Their customer service is also top notch.

Pros

I really love how easy it is to manage all my projects on one platform and it also integrates with QuickBooks. Files no longer get loss or misplace and I can look up information on the drop of a dime either online or on my phone.

Cons

There are a few glitches but every year Houzz Pro is constantly making improvements to the tools available and user friendliness.

### "Scam"

August 9, 2023

1.0

HORRENDOUS. I am still having to pay monthly for something we cannot even use. Zero customer service. Zero training. Zero care for their customers.

Pros

This product has a lot of features that could be useful if Houzz actually taught you how to use it. Buyer beware. Customer service is nonexistent.

Cons

They sold me on something they promised we would get ample training on. They started our subscription before the 30 day trial was up then refused to cancel our subscription. They paired us with an advisor that was in a time zone 4 hours behind us so we were never able to connect. Then when we finally did, she ran through her "training" in less than 5 minutes. After expressing my concerns about the time difference with our trainer, they placed us with someone in Arkansas. The night before our training I got an email cancelation with no explanation of why he canceled. Anytime I had a question I'd try to use the online chat option. It would take someone 3-5 days to reply. When they did replay, they just referred me to links on the website and youtube videos. TRAINING does not exist. They ran me through hours of calls trying to get this resolved but all the account manager kept telling me was that she'd give me 1 month free and she was sorry I felt the way I did. SCAMMERS. Robotic. They do not care that they sold me on something that was a pure lie. Look at other reviews. I am not the only one.

### "Honest Feedback"

September 12, 2023

5.0

My clients love it and for basic invoicing and estimates, i can create and submit quickly and easily in the field. Im taking very little work home now.

Pros

It was quick to set up and start to collect. Payment integration is very good with this program

Cons

For simple tasks, its very intuitive. But going deeper requires some help. As a one man show, I'm not at a desk from 9-5. I cant seem to keep an ongoing dialouge with the help center. If i dont respond very quickly they close the ticket. Im left with scheduling an actual appointment. which means not only do i need to stop production, but also that i need to find a quiet "coffee house usually" placeto set up and get logged in in order to answer a question. Its terribly frustrating.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

I am still looking for a mid tier CRM because with this particular business, my CRM needs are low in terms of functionality. I currently have a tuned race car, when all that I need is a four door sedan. I'm paying for the excess that isnt necessary.

### "Great integration of portfolio, website, advertising "

February 2, 2021

5.0

I have had a steady reliable account manager who regularly checks in with me to outline new features that were introduced, and even actually created the first version of our website which I subsequently tweaked a bit and personalized, but I was really impressed that she took the time to do this. This is definitely unique in the marketplace.

Pros

I like the integration between our Houzz profile content and creating a website from it. It allows me to keep a portfolio of our work that I can direct clients to along with the creation and management of our website which is hosted by Houzz. It provides a single portal for managing leads from people who choose us in general searches on Houzz such as what they call Houzz Project Match, to leads that come directly through our website which is hosted by Houzz. They all show up in the same place. With the addition of the website tools and a fair bit of customization of our website using them, it has really provided an easy solution for a fair bit of our marketing. I would highly recommend it, especially for a smaller company that does not already have an up to date website. Also, remarkably, since hosting our website on Houzz our organic search engine ranking is unexpectedly high after switching over a year ago.

Cons

I would love even more website creation tools but I also recognize that with more complexity, it might go beyond my capability to use these new tools.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

As far as I know Houzz is pretty unique. The combination of allowing you to have a public portfolio alongside a website hosted by them, and the opportunity to reach new clients, it is really a unique offering.

### ""Marketing, Production and Financial Tools that show promise for professionals""

May 27, 2021

5.0

We started the Houzz Pro subscription to update our professional profile, create a new website and give ourselves more exposure. All of these goals have been achieved and we feel our overall experience with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been a pleasure. As a former creative director, I directed her with my vision to see through every detail of the profile, our projects and the website design/content.

Pros

Learning and using the Leads and Projects features/functions has been a good way to track jobs as long as you have a dedicated person managing it. Some of the other tools like mood boards and 3D tools have not been tested out yet, but seem like they would add value working with clients in the future.

Cons

1\. The fact that you can't print out leads details has been a challenge and should be made available. Taking a screen capture to then print out is added time. 2. When scheduling project tasks, I would also like to print out the detail and hours for each task entered. This would help with sending out monthly invoices on jobs and tracking employee tasks. 3. Many times a lead comes in and we respond, but then Houzz Pro sends out an email to us to ask if we've followed up? 4. I found out from our accountant that QBonline does not integrate with QBdesktop. So, while we like the Estimate, Invoices and Change Order tools provided by Houzz Pro, we still need to have our bookkeeper "re-enter" these once a month into QBdesktop to keep track of everything. So this adds some extra time too.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

Houzz had been used by many professionals in the Architectural/Landscape Architect space that felt very updated. Once we got into using it, it was clear that many tools, including all the analytics would benefit our business.

3.0

I am a fan of Houzz Pro Review! It has been very helpful to me and my business. The features, the functionality, and the ease of use. I've used several project management software programs and I cannot recommend Houzz Pro Review enough.

Pros

Houzz Pro Review has helped me streamline my small business, making proposals and invoicing simple.

Cons

Not a lot of help in the beginning. I asked for a walkthrough in setting up my account and was basically told to go look at training videos. ### "Do not recommend "

November 12, 2023

1.0

Pros

N/A - (for the service that I intended to use this platform, I did not find any positives as I did not get any leads, therefore for me, no pros.

Cons

Despite being a customer of Houzz since early beginnings in London from 2017, I have to say that I always found the Houzz platform very useful, somewhat like you would Facebook if you will. Enjoyable tool that definitely does not need to be paid, but can somewhat benefit. However I have for long considered opting for the advertising on their platform as it promised alluring client leads that would be coming and I would get more business, who would not want that? Sadly, long story short after almost 10 months of service and receiving 3 measly leads that were not even for the service that we provide, I have to conclude that this was (and sadly still is!!!) a complete waste of money for us. We have not go one good lead where we could generate any revenue. I was being told that the "magical system of Houzz" requires at least 6 months commitment which is why they try to lock you in for 12 months. Needless to say, this is purely so they can get the profit that they need for running their ads, and 6 months did not change anything. I am extremely disappointed as a frequent user of their platform prior this membership I was quite happy, even though we have never received any leads directly I was glad to promote our work. However now, when paying for this service in a locked 12 month contract and still getting the same amount of leads - NONE than before, I really feel repulsed by the platform, that does not bring me anything just invoices. I hope that anyone who is on the fence and is thinking about their services, thinks 10x times before going ahead. Remember, you are singing for 12, very, looong months of invoices with abosutely 0% change of getting anything in return. Hope this helps someone, like I wish someone would have told me beforehand. All the best Dom

My overall experience with Houzz Pro has been very satisfactory. I wish I had an hour a week to get familiar with all the features I’m paying for. I’m sure there’s things I could be using this app more efficiently than I’m currently doing it.

Pros

My favorite features about Houzz Pro are all the ones I use, since those are the only ones I know how to use. I’m so busy, but I need to take time to learn other features. LIDAR capture, floor plan editing, project management, estimating and invoicing, file upload, price catalog, And there’s more

### "The best Online software we have used."

April 19, 2024

5.0

Up to this point, the software has proven to be highly functional and versatile. It offers a wide range of features that are challenging to find integrated into other software options.

Pros

One of the greatest advantages of this software is its ability to consolidate everything in a single location. This centralized approach makes tasks more efficient and convenient.

Cons

I believe there is a significant feature missing from this software that is crucial - the ability to create a comprehensive system with multiple costs that can be regularly updated, like an analysis of unit prices. This feature would streamline the process by calculating all necessary materials and labor costs automatically. Building a wall, for example, requires various materials such as wood, nails, and waterproofing. It would be beneficial to have a database to display the actual cost of the project accurately.

a good centralized tool for project management, proposals, invoicing, customer facing collaboration

Cons

cost, and overall ease of use, funds held on paid invoices too long, lacking some functionality in the 3D room toolwish I could pay a lesser fee for the software use only and not lump in marketing budget, example, i'm on the lowest marketing budget possible and it allows me to use the software, I'd like to see that cut in half and not care about marketing (because I get way more word of mouth referrals than anything here)

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

because of an ad for the 3d room capabilities, however, I was sad to find out that more functionality is available with apple products than with my android which causes me a burden of needing to purchase an apple product to take full advantage of the 3d lidar in order to use it.
