Houzz Pro is indispensable to my business. Over time I have integrated more and more of the functionality in my business processes.

Pros

Houzz Pro was easy to set up with the help of my account manager. I think the website feature is very good. I like the integration with Houzz retail/green. I can order materials or refer the site to customers to have them get ideas.

Cons

Yes, I want them to expedite credit card payments. I sometimes wait 3-5 days for payments to hit my checking account. I'd also like integration with Zelle, Cash App, and Venmo.

Site Mangement. Since hiring a project manger I can see the pictures taken on site and it provides one place for communication between subs, team members, and clients.

Pros

The product is easy to use and for clients to maneuver. I get far less pushback from sub contractors with this software than with others I've used in the past.

Cons

At first I thought there was, but after some interaction with the Houzz Pro team, we were off to the races. As we get bigger, we may need to upgrade to program better suited for larger companies

### "Houzz Pro review"

Houzz Pro provides me a way to capture the details of a project and simplifies bringing all of the moving pieces together in one place so that I can then present the design to my clients.

Pros

I like using the product clipper to capture items for each project and then easily create proposals and invoices to pass onto the client.

Cons

The recent changes to Houzz Pro, the "New Experience" seem to make the process much more complicated than before. It is far less intuitive. I don't understand why the software developers continue to make changes when something is not broken. I'm finding it much more difficult to create proposals, invoices and finding out basic information about each project. I really miss Document tags!!!!! Now I have to open each invoice or proposal to find out what its for. It's taking me more time to use the new experience. I'm actually looking into different project management software to see if they will work better for me.

### "Very Unhappy"

Awful.We signed up for the service in January of 2022 and notified HouzzPro in February 2022 (in writing via email) that we were not happy with the service and did not want to continue service. At that time we were told that we still had to pay for the entirety of 2022. Though we disagreed, we accepted it as it was part of the terms of service. However, we were assured that we would not be renewed in December of 2022. On HouzzPro’s side of things, the system was never updated and we were charged for services, that we did not agree to, in January and February of 2023. I reported the error and it was corrected in March of 2023 but Houzz has refused to issue us a refund for the charges that should never have happened. I've reached out to my contact at Houzz to get this resolved and I am now being ignored.The fees charged to us need to be refunded immediately.

Pros

Getting started with the very basics of using the platform was fairly easy.

Cons

Customer Service is awful and technical support seemed only interested in taking me through their pre-planned agenda. They didn't seem interested in understanding the challenges I was facing with the app.

### "Houzz Pro is a Solid Option"

Pros

Love the ease of use - it's a very intuitive software on the whole. It has most everything we need from an proposal/invoicing/client database side. (We use it along with Basecamp, which is our project manager software). The reporting feature is nice, as well. Reasonably priced and wonderful customer support!

Cons

There are definitely some features that we feel are missing within this software. It would be nice to have a little more customization options when creating proposals/invoices with regards to adjusting line spacing, how large our company logo appears on the document, etc. You also cannot have an invoice with a negative amount (we don't have negative amounts too often, but every once in a while we need to refund a client and have a corresponding invoice that shows it). It'd also be nice to be able to make a templated proposal, so we can just use that to create a new one that already has a lot of the items in it that we use on most proposal - have to start from scratch every time creating a new invoice or proposal. We also bill in a cost + % format. It'd be nice to be able to ask for percentage amounts instead of just having dollar amount options for line items - for example, having the line item at the bottom be able to calculate a percentage of all the line items above it. But, all in all, these are smaller things and obviously not enough of a deterrent for us and we us Houzz Pro for our business and do enjoy it. Think it's a great software and is at a reasonable price.

NE VOUS ABONNEZ PAS. A FUIR !!! Après 2 ans d’abonnement sans aucun retour sur investissement, je décide de résilier mon contrat, je reçois donc un mail de confirmation de la part de houzz. Malgré cela, houzz a reconduit mon contrat et refuse de l’annuler. Pire que tout, houzz continue de prélever des sommes malgré la résiliation ! et au vu des avis.... je ne suis pas la seule. Ce sont des méthodes malhonnêtes et de l’escroquerie tout simplement. Ne vous abonnez pas !

Pros

Aucun avantage. Beaucoup de temps et d'argent perdu.

Cons

Aucun prospect en 2 ans d'abonnement.... Impossible de résilier son contrat malgré un mail confirmant la résiliation de la part de houzz.

Overall, Houzz has allowed us to capture our lead tracking, project tracking and client communications. Capturing client communications was the primary need for using Houzz since it is visible to the entire team and avoids "living out of your emails" and having to remember to copy other team members on every client communication.

Pros

We like the centralized storage of client communications and project tracking. Another great tool is the 3-D floor-planning tool and the ability to share that with our clients.

Cons

We continue to OneDrive for storing our client pictures, contracts and other information because we can create sub-folders which allows us to better organize client information. Also, we do not have to download and upload spreadsheets or word documents to update them.

### "Beware of predatory business practices"

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone and would warn anyone interested in evaluating the trial to be very wary of the predatory business policies. They have no interest in providing any leniency to errors and will continue to bill you for up to 12 months after requesting a cancellation.

Pros

From a software perspective the platform seems fine. We evaluated it for use but decided not to proceed with a purchase. Unfortunately, due to an administrative oversight, we failed to cancel the free trial and have been being billed for the past 12 months for a product that we neither used, needed nor wanted. After attempting to contact the company - they refused to process any refund or cancel the subscription. So they continue to bill us. As a small business this is a non-trivial expense. Very unethical business practice.

Cons

Houzz pro has demonstrated deplorable & predatory business practices. While we respect their prerogative to adhere to every letter of their trial policy - we find their practice to be extremely unethical. After contacting them to inform them that there was an oversight in the cancellation of the subscription - they refused to stop billing us for the product, even though we never used it beyond the trial date. We are a small business and this is not a trivial expense. As a business, they certainly have the ability to practice ethically and cancel subscriptions in the cases of administrative oversight, given evidence that the product was never used beyond the trial date. Throwing their hands in the air and pointing to the policy as though they are powerless to do anything is extremely disappointing. Even if they kept the payments for the first few months of the oversight and then canceled the subscription, that would have been acceptable.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

Pros

I love their IVY sister company for invoicing. I also like and use often the leads section to communicate with new potential clients and keep track of our referrals.

Cons

The only one thing I would change is that we are not able to see the emails address when new leads come in. This would be useful specially when many new clients usually don't respond on their phones.

We think Houzz Pro is rapidly evolving and we believe it can beat the level of service that Yelp or other local listings have to offer.

Pros

Our company likes the analytical information, lead generation information, and the profile settings given to us. The information we receive is valuable such as addresses, phone numbers, project information, and metrics we can use to create strategies for our company.

Cons

Although we do receive valuable information, we wish it was easier to download it into a pdf or an excel document. Additionally, we wish the layout of the incoming leads was organized a different way so we can easily see information quickly or sort leads by month, project types, and etc. We wish we could obtain emails of the leads we receive to build an email list. The ultimate dream would be for Houzz to connect to our CRM program Builder's Trend.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

We choose Houzz because we got too much spam and poor quality leads from Angie's List and Home Advisor. As a contractor that handles full remodeling projects, we are looking to connect with customers willing to spend over at least $10,000 on a remodeling project.

### "All-In-One Sales Tool"

Houzz Pro is not BuilderTrend or it's competitors, it's not meant to be. What it is, is a great tool for the boutique, niche or small custom contractors who work in intimate teams and/or one-on-one with their clients to deliver value on high quality projects. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], NOT a project manager for \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]!

Pros

I've used EVERY big name software you can think of and although they were very detailed and very useful for the purpose they were designed for none of them were a simple and effective all-in-one tool. That's where Houzz Pro steps in! The Houzz Pro package consists of: a website that's set-up for you, initially, but super easy to modify yourself or by reaching out to your dedicated support staff, a very simple CAD design tool to help bring vision to any project quickly, a mood board, a take-off tool that appears to be a light version of PlanSwift, an estimation tool and CRM. I have used ALL of these tools individually in the past, utilizing different companies for each, so to have them in one simple package is great! The strength of Houzz Pro is in it's simplicity and focus. It is not super detailed in any one of the features so it's best utilized, at this point in it's infancy, to engage clients and help the construction professional get a project's vision presented quickly. In a nutshell, it is a GREAT consultative sales tool. The CAD and mood board features also allow us to share the vision with our team of subcontractors very early on in the process. All of the Pro tools work seamlessly with the Houzz web profile and you can't beat the pricing for all of these features, especially considering that Houzz pretty much owns the higher-end client base on the web.

Cons

If you keep in context what the tool (is) and what it (isn't) then, I don't think there are any cons.

Most impactful was the design software and mood boards and 3D option to show myself and clients. It was easy to on-board Houzz pro - Ivy is useful and reliable

Cons

The Houzz pro software design program is still buggy and missing key items such as stairs and a fireplace. Bugs need to be fixed as I have lost floor plans and needed to regain trust in the program. Would be great to be able to customize specific furniture pieces into program and also, if Houzz could be more Canadian friendly, it would go a long way towards improvement. The lead generation is not great so far. Need better quality and legitimate leads to justify what I pay. Most are not interested in any design service and just playing around with the program. They do not return my call when I follow up. I almost have stopped follow up as it takes time and is. It rewarded

I was already a Houzz user with a Houzz profile which I was using to get reviews and show clients my work. It was a natural progression to seek lead generation which led to Ivy use (heard about it on podcasts) then into software for design when it came out. Our overall experience was good right up to the point where our Administrative email was hacked. We reported the breach immediately and expected HouzzPro to help us reset our account. They clear are not prepared for internet fraud issues. This is dumbfounding since they were handling all of our client invoicing and payments. Their response was there was no one we can talk to, for the quickest response go to our web site and request help there. After doing this, we were informed that they notified the email address associated with the account and they did not give permission to make any changes!!!! Bear in mind we have an assigned rep who signed us up and know who we are. As incredulous as this sounds, this went on for over a week and then we received a notice form our bank we were over drawn. After opening our account, the hackers used the bank account information to make withdrawal requests for over $16000.00 This all started on the 5th of June. Today is June 20th and we still do not have our account back, we had to shut down our checking account, and today one of our clients saw a fictitious invoice on their dashboard. DO NOT TRUST THIS ORGANIZATION WITH YOUR BANK INFORMATION. IT IS NOT SECURE!

I have had two very impressive Managers who have assisted me greatly on marketing concepts and technical issues.

Pros

I began using the Ideas Books in my Houzz Profile. It made an easy starting point for putting together appealing images to inspire my clients. The Mood Boards are easy to create, and can be shared on line with clients to give them a professional looking visualization of the proposed design.

Cons

I found the clipping tool was not functioning at times which was frustrating. I thought the 3D tool was a very good way to present a design but the options of the cabinetry and furniture was too limited.

My overall experience with Houzz Pro is quite good. It is robust enough yet simple enough to work for this small contractor.

Pros

I like the timeline, the tasks section, the daily logs (super easy to use, including pictures - my clients are loving this). I am starting to use the budgeting and estimating side and I like it so far.

Cons

There are a few small hiccups with how information is communicated with subs and vendors, but I fully expect this to get better in the near future. Houzz is constantly adding new features. I don't like not being able to view the timelines on mobile devices. Add this functionality please!

When you have a combination of good tools good service good customer service how to implement that in an easy way a supervisor to respond in real time for you you can accomplish all the details that you got to go over and finish all the business that you have with our customers. If you compare with any other platform that you have around the market they are very specific when you talk about high-end delivery products.

Pros

The best way to describe all the details about the platform, Is about the way the tools can fit in your daily necessities. The 3D design tool kit is perfect to give examples for my crew and then at first to give a better idea for my customer and real-time. When we talk about CRM you can check it out by yourself how many tools they have to offer better results for your daily based tasks..... we love pretty much everything!

Cons

The very first point that we noticed about houzz was the easiness to handle with their platform to provide better results for any task that we got to go over during the day.

Houzz Pro has sent me so many leads that I have actually turned into long term clients. I love the ease of invoicing too.

The new format for invoicing is a learning curve for me, but once I get used to it, the program is better now than when I started

Our clients often would like to see a 3-D rendering of what the project will look like. With 3-D floor plans, it is easy to provide this. The software is so simple to navigate and user friendly!

Pros

I love that the service is always updating and improving. I LOVE all the help videos available. I really appreciate the occasional workshops Houzz Pro provides the us users.

Cons

There aren't really any cons. There are things that may need improving, and they are always improving the service and taking the user feedback to heart.

In general, my experience has been good compared to other software that I have used, the price is a little high considering that they offer an app but it does not give 100% of the offers. anyway they are always making improvements!

Pros

Definitely my favorite software tool is the ease of creating product spec sheets. I also like that the client can interact on the platform approving and disapproving products.

Cons

\- The client usually doesn't have time, so the least I liked so far is that the mobile application doesn't work the same as the desktop version. Even for me when I am working outside my desktop and I need quick access it is not possible, for example you cannot access 100% of the dashboard from the app, the board products do not appear in the mobile app. - The client does not have access to the product links unless I manually copy the link into the description.

It's been a bit bumpy. I've had different people tell me different things on occasion.Seems like there's a lot of confusion among employees.

Pros

My Firm uses Houzz Pro mostly for presentation of proposals, invoices, mood boards and tear sheets.

Cons

Some things are clunky. You should be able to turn a mood board into a proposal automatically, for example. Instead, everything must be added manually. Also, I'm disappointed that our tear sheets, proposals and invoices cannot be customized to look like our business branding instead of Houzz Pro's.

The best part of about Houzz Pro is the beautiful interface for clients. Our clients can see their open invoices and documents we save for them. We are able to have full control of the project and see everything at a glance.

Cons

The least thing we like about Houzz is the lead tool. We get a ton of none responding leads and it goes against our total.
