### "Great Project Management"

Pros

The best part of about Houzz Pro is the beautiful interface for clients. Our clients can see their open invoices and documents we save for them. We are able to have full control of the project and see everything at a glance.

Cons

The least thing we like about Houzz is the lead tool. We get a ton of none responding leads and it goes against our total.

before houzz pro I was spending hours after an already long day in the office taking care of paperwork. now I am only going to the office to check the phones and look at the logbook to see what is coming up next as we have not got everything switched over to the system. now I am only at the office a couple of hours a week.

Pros

estimates and progress tracker are the 2 i use the most so far cant wait to get off and use the other features more.

Cons

once a bid is placed it adds the total amount of all bids even the once that were declined and it makes you look twice at what's actually coming in. if there was a way to delete the bids that would be great

I have enjoyed the new changes and the ease of the Houzz Pro app.

Pros

I enjoy the lead generation organization software. It is easy to use and track the progression. I also, use the idea books with clients and this is helpful in the beginning design and architectural phases while trying to capture their vision.

Cons

I haven't really run into anything yet that has created frustration or difficulty. I think it took some time to determine the right selections of services to get to our right client but after a few tweekings in price range and scope of what we do honed in the leads have been more productive.

Reason for choosing Houzz Pro

I had a lot of clients early in the design phase using this as a portfolio of ideas so it made sense to move in that direction and then opened it up to the marketing and lead generation piece eventually.

### "Houzz Pro Still Needs Work"

Pros

Time recording and product markup are easy.

Cons

Our firm was an Ivy user for a long time. When Houzz acquired Ivy we migrated over to Houzz Pro. The ease of use, functionality, and functions have downgraded and created difficulty, frustration, and delays. The worst part of the experience is that the system for technical support is terribly lacking and I usually have to reach out several times to get the answers I'm looking for. Some issues were not able to be resolved. It feels like they are taking on more than they can handle and it's causing user businesses to suffer the consequences. The lead feature is nice but since they only allow one admin, it's annoying that our sales team cannot access the leads directly from their inbox and are forced to log on.

Excellent.

Pros

The software helps me stay organized, obtain new leads, design spaces, make material selections, showcase my completed work, and obtain reviews from my clients.

Cons

I have been waiting for a few updates for a while. One of the things that I need the most is adding in knee walls. I do a lot of bathroom projects and add knee walls to many of them. I also terribly miss the Room Boards in the new software and look forward to when they return.

### "Leads Plentiful But Often Mediocre"

I scaled back after the first year to the minimum monthly payment. I have pretty much given up on the leads generated by the Houzz Pro system, and just consider this a referral system to my website.

Pros

Easy to set up and get going, especially with live human account manager helping. My company's page on Houzz.com looks very professional. I use the Ideabook function with all my clients - it is a great way to store inspiration images/comments. The lead gen system is customizable, so you can throttle up/down as needed. As far as I can tell, I do get referrals to my company web page from Houzz.com, so it's possible that some leads I get from my website have come from Houzz.

Cons

Many of the leads are useless. By useless, I mean people who have completely unrealistic budgets, schedules, expectations, etc. In 18 months of being a Houzz Pro user, I have converted one quality lead. That lead did generate good revenue but it takes a lot of leads to get to a good one.

Pros

As a business owner I like the capability and ease of managing multiple projects at once. The payment processing feature is something I use for all my clients as well and is integrated into the software nicely and allows me to manage projects well.

Cons

There have been a lot of changes to the software and sometimes the older items I have in the software do not integrate well. The cost has gone up a lot as well and customer service seems overloaded with the workload of helping implement the new changes.

My overall experience with house pro has been good.

Pros

The feature I use the most is the billing in voices and proposals. I love this feature because I'm able to create a personalized invoice waste edit and add whatever I need to reflect the needs of the project send that. Invoice to a client and receive payments directly on the invoice that's one of my favorite features about house pro.

Cons

The future I like the least about a house pro is the presentation boards.They Don't have enough features to personalize each project for the clients. There's not enough design features. so I don't use that often

Pros

I love that I can easily upload projects, create proposals and invoices and communicate about project details with my clients.

Cons

I do not love the interface/ set up for how potential clients connect with me. I also have had a really hard time receiving ACH payments

Pros

Industry-specific features make it a great solution for interior designers. Wonderful personalized support from the Houzz Team, is always appreciated.

Cons

The virtual site-measure tool needs improvement - not sure if the technology is there yet, but as is it requires that the measure options are on the same level - easy with empty spaces, hard when there are furniture pieces in the way. Can't wait for that tool to improve in the future!

### "The Most Unhelpful Account Managers We've Ever Experienced"

Our account manager is incredibly unhelpful. They are unable to answer simple questions or provide documentation in writing. They demand we get onto a call for every simple issue and are incapable of doing the most basic work in a timely or efficient manner.

Pros

We occasionally get good leads through this software but even those are far and few between.

Cons

It is impossible to get a straight answer out of an account manager without being forced into a "quick call" that is a screen share of everything I can already access in our backend. They seem incapable of providing any real pricing structure or documentation of pricing and billing. It makes me wonder where my money is truly going that this is such a complicated process they don't have it readily available in writing.

### "Helpful management tool"

It has been so helpful for my business. I felt more professional right off the bat. It is organized and I love that they are constantly improving.

Pros

I love to invoice with Pro. I like how clean it is and easy to use. The improvements lately have been great as well.

Cons

There are some kinks in the way we clean up the products and services. Some things are not very easy to figure out when it comes to billing. The way that you clock in hours is also a bit confusing.

Pros

We enjoy having every project organized and easy to find our clients info. The clipping tool is great, sometimes glitches but overall works great!

Cons

I think the least thing we like about Houzz Pro its the Houzz Pro app. It definitely needs a lot of work. We cant really do much there. We would really like to have notification on our phone about payments, invoices paid etc at the moment. It took more than half a day to received an email when our client paid their invoice

Until recently my experience with house has been phenomenal. I really only want to use Houzz as an advertising, and customer connection platform. These other services and business tools might be great for others but so far I do not see a need for them

Pros

Houzz Pro is great at presenting us to our customers and bringing us potential business. That is the real reason we pay for it.

Cons

You have recently altered the way we can contact and connect with our customers by having all calls and text go through your switch board. This new process now ties our hands as to communication with a potential customer. This slows down the whole process. This is even worse when your switch board has a connection problem or error that won't even allow us to reach our customer.

I really do NOT like the new format that Houzz went to with Houzz Pro. I find the new program to be less easy to use visually and functionally it is way too chopped up. I don't need 90% of the "options" that you want to provide. I use Houzz to display our work, connect with potential new clients, and provide a format for great reviews. Houzz Pro is not any easier or better formatted than the original software we had. In fact, as i mentioned, I find it obnoxiously busy, overloaded with unnecessary options, and less informational about my potential clients than previous versions. For instance, I am no longer seeing a category about budget within the client inquiry. We end up wasting a lot of time now , just seeing if potential clients have budgets that meet the standards and costs of the project designs. I think it could do better, and have said so from the beginning of the switch to Houzz Pro. I like Houzz, I don't like HouzzPro.

Pros

I use the Houzz Pro to advertise to my clients and to track leads from Houzz specifically. I find this interface simple and easy to use. I also appreciate the ease with which I can add our new projects and images to help with our advertising.

Cons

I use other software for most tasks and have for years. Many of my clients come from other sources and it is simpler and easier to use that software for all of our business. Our company has been in business longer than Houzz has and so our systems were already in place when we started. For a new business, this software might be all they need.

Awesome! I have regularly scheduled appointments with my 1 on 1 customer service agent to keep me up to date. She is just a phone call away.

Pros

I love that it has the phone 3D floorplanner that auto measures the room in a design appointment and transports it into their project. The mood boards are fun for client visuals. The back office proposals, invoice, pay now and purchase order functionsa are amazing!! So professional. I also love the accounting side for tax purposes. It is a life saver when I dont have the time to do the back office stuff.

Cons

filtering through leads and not a lot of furniture and accessories options for the floor plans. I wish I cound use the items that I upload for clients specifically like other software programs.

awful. Worst experience I have had with any vendor.

Pros

Nothing! I could not be more dissatisfied with Houzz Pro. Their "Client Success Managers" do nothing, and certainly have no interest in your success. We were trapped into a second year of subscription. We have received literally no leads from their service other than what appears to be bogus ones from which no one ever replied. They will take your hard earned money and offer no relief at all. I would urge all business owners to avoid using Houzz Pro under any circumstances. They just want to take your money and could not care any less about the value you get, or more likely, don't get. Please do not make the same mistake we did.

Cons

They tell you that you will get leads, but you won't. They deliver absolutely no value. A complete waste of money!

For all intents and purposes is good. I would love to see the software evolve more with Task Management, financial reporting and ease of use... especially with tracking orders.

Pros

Like that its pretty comprehensive and that you don't have to utilize multiple softwares for different tasks. They are spending a lot on R&D to beef up the software.

Cons

no P+L, the integration with Quickbooks is unreliable. The financial reporting regarding sales tax needs more detail so I can see what's rolling up to that number. Task management isn't there yet.
