I like that paying for services in Houzz Pro now enables short project videos to be created for projects. Overall, Houzz and Houzz Pro feel totally disconnected and like two totally different tools that don't actually "speak" to one another. Pros The visuals on Houzz are great. We only use Houzz Pro to support or company marketing. Cons We only use Houzz/Houzz Pro for marketing purposes and do not use it as a CRM, project management, estimating or take off tool. I do not like that the back end interface for setting up service areas and scope has to be changed manually and individually for each subscription (rather than apply changes to all service areas). Also, new projects default to the end of the projects list. They should default to newest first as dragging from the bottom of a list of 80 pages is time consuming. There are too many sub menus within each subscription. So, for example, in the public profile set up in Houzz, our scope of services is easy to manage and regularly updated, but it is not replicated in Houzz Pro subscriptions so you have to manually go in and update each one. Overall, there are just too many places to have to update the same information and be clear about what it being pulled from where in Houzz Pro for the public profile and for pro directory. Pros The room planning and 3D room design features on Houzz Pro are absolutely my favorite things on the platform. But a close second would be the best prodigal building with the “clipper”. This feature has saved me countless hours of creating proposals via excel, as I can just go to a site and source the item right into my Houzz Pro account under the specific job. It is life changing! Cons The only thing I do not like about Houzz Pro is the inability to select wall paper, wall designs or make wall multiple colors in the 3D Room Builder Review Source MR MADELENE R. Ease of use once you learn how to navigate. Periodic updates based on user feedback. After graduation, I was already invested in the platform and used it as my design firm platform for everything. These people are morally bankrupt, sign you up, ignore you and then refuse to cancel your subscription. Please don’t fall for their scam, it was an expensive mistake for us and we still can’t get out of it. We’ve taken legal advice and it’s with our solicitors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Cons Complete con. Signed us up promising leads. Vast majority were bots. Tried to cancel but the auto renew you for a year and now refuse to engage and cancel our plan. Absolute scam, please do kit hall for this by signing up. Use google ads, use Facebook, use anything but these absolute con artists. I wish we had read the reviews before signing up. AVOID. If I get stuck I just refer back to the videos. Pros I like Houzz Pro because it has everything a Designer needs in one system. Cons I do not like that there are only leads or Clients in the system. And you cannot pick and choose who to send emails to. You have to send a campaign to the whole group. I like to send an email to certain zip codes or too one Management group. I haven't discovered how to do that yet. The insights and communication are great tools. Our client success manager \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is phenomenal. She reaches out and follows up continuously and is very responsive to any questions that we have in a very prompt and professional manner. Very pleased with her! Pros We believe that a photo tells a story and images say a thousand words. The HOUZZ Pro lead generation feature has worked very well in reaching outside of our referral zone expanding that organic reach. The ease of use of the product is certainly there and integration with the business model was easy. Partner Design Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Beware of HOUZZ" August 25, 2021 1.0 Once we were signed up and locked into a contract we received a few leads and it was working for a couple years but then Houzz started tagging their own products in our curated design photos (which once you upload them to the site they have the rights to them). After many conversations with our ever changing account reps they finally removed their tags and now suggest their products at the bottom of the page. We cancelled our Houzz Pro account and have actually gotten more leads now that we no longer pay. We also signed up to use Ivy, an accounting program that they acquired and have had just as many problems. There is absolutely no support and we can't get ahold of anyone for days. We are behind frustrated with this company and would never recommend them to other designers. Pros We signed up to use Houzz Pro in 2013. It was sold to us as a platform that would help drive potential clients to our Houzz page where we could upload photos and clients could leave reviews. We were able to select our targeted locations and criteria for potential clients. Cons They sell you on leads and traffic and it happens for awhile but then it dwindles down and you are left paying an arm and a leg for no leads. They also tag their own products in your photos. The proposals we send look very professional and clients like that they can approve things easily online. Invoicing is a breeze, and the financial tracking has been a huge plus. Pros While I definitely don't use Houzz Pro to its full extent, the features I do use have made things run more smoothly in my business. My firm mainly uses Houzz Pro for creating proposals, invoicing, receive payments online, and tracking outstanding balances as well as cash flow. It's nice to have everything in one place for easy reference. Cons Would love to be able to use Houzz Pro while on the go, but I have found the iPhone app to be pure frustration. I cannot look up client balances or info on the go and the app crashes. On my desktop, the software seems to be so laggy. This can be frustrating when you are in a hurry. There are also some times when typing in the title of an invoice that the cursor will bounce around and typing becomes impossible. This is the only field this seems to happen in. It would put Houzz Pro in a position of exclusivity no one could dismiss. I am still trying to change to a simpler package but have gotten no response from these people. Pros We signed up for the Ultimate package and support from Houzz Pro in June after Senior Strategic Account Executive \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] sold us on the flexibility of the services and ability to reduce or increase the level of product provided. Over the last 5 months we have been disappointed with the potential clients the site attracts and the amount of time we spend managing the site. When we called last month to reduce services our Houzz Pro account manager was not familiar with our agreement, was rude and unprofessional toward my Associate. I complained two and half weeks ago in writing and have not heard back from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. This is a marketing scam- they pressure businesses into purchasing useless marketing tools. STAY AWAY! This is paid advertising Cons This software did not attract appropriate clients or projects and has been time consuming on our end to manage the results. " March 9, 2021 5.0 What did we do before we had this type of technology. they only bring us the type of work that meets our profile and then give us the tracking mechanism to insure we can mange the client interaction. Pros The software has a fairly significant learning curve for people like myself who have run their company mostly off of a combination of spreadsheets and contact list. I am finding that the program has so much depth and the more we get into it the more we realize that we need to go all in. Houzz has been so good to us on all the other platforms that we would be foolish not to take advantage of this. If you do not have reagional placement contacts in place with them you are not spending your advertising $'s very well. Cons The shear size of all that you can do in the program. I love being able to create proposals and present room boards to my clients all in one place. One of the best features is the chat option where a team member quickly gets back to me with any question I have, no matter how small. I have even seen Houzz make changes to its user interface based on feedback from pro accounts, making me feel heard and valued. Thanks for everything!! Pros My favorite features of Houzz Pro is the proposal and invoicing system. I can turn a room board into a proposal with one click and can customize any proposal to show as much or as little as I want! Once a proposal is approved, I simply turn it into an invoice with one button and send it off to collect payment. So easy breezy!I also have to mention that the chat system connects you with a real person, not a bot. This makes THE MOST difference compared to other management systems. I will never take this feature for granted. Cons It was a bit of a learning curve to figure out where everything was that I wanted to access. Some functions weren't as intuitive as others. Thankfully, the chat button makes this so much easier! Whenever I have felt "lost" learning this system, someone gets back to me in a few minuets with a solution or answer to my question. I also love that I can scan rooms and then edit the plans with ease of sending a simple link to my clients to view their design live. It is also super convenient to have the billing platform all in one place. Cons The kitchen cabinets are a bit difficult to edit. Cons There is nothing I do not like about the project management part of the system, aside from the workflow for creating purchase orders, that only can be created after you created an invoice. Which in accounting does not make sense that work flow. Reason for choosing Houzz Pro I used it at another firm and found very easy to use. Pros Since I've been using Houzz Pro it has helped streamline my Interior Design Business. I can project manage multiple clients easily at any time, create proposals and invoices effortlessly and professionally. The clipper tool has been a life saver.Having an extensive library of products that I can source quickly from has been a real bonus.The help I received from the Houzz pro team at the start was great too. Cons Its quite expensive. Some of the tools are geared towards the US market so I have had a couple of glitches with some of the Software. I must admit Houzz seem to be onto this.
