The staff is top notch and always willing to help. Part of the reason Houzz has dominated over their competitors is because they listen to their client’s needs and adjust rather than expecting the client to conform. Houzz is constantly evolving and is always finding ways of running your business easier. Our Client Success Manager, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been with me every step of the way. With suggestions and ideas that have taken our business to the next level. Pros Houzz is super easy to use and you can modify any project or layout. Now that they have added video it gives them even more of an edge. I love all of the features and the fact that you can create content within Houzz is amazing. We are a new buiness and we were a little frazzled about where to begin to start making professional estimates to send to potential customers. We wanted something that was easy to do with our mobile phones so we wouldn't have to lug around a lap top all day. Houzz pro delivered on what we were needing right now. Pros I like that Houzz pro is so simple to use. It is great for someone who is just now getting started up and not really sure how to begin creating professional estimates and invoices. Cons I don't like that it has the messaging feature within the app and the only way for that feature to work is if the customer was to download the app as well. Houzz has been nothing short of Amazing in assisting our company with whatever we need. So many ways to help our company looking it's best and current with the trends. Pros I enjoy the continuing upgrades and benefits Houzz has and continues to roll out as to the improvement and ease of using their site. I enjoy that we can store everything on one platform and it is clean, easy to use and helpful for more than we actually need it for. So many options yet to explore! Cons I have found that using the Houzz program has been easy to navigate and use. I understand that there are always changes being made to the program, sometimes it takes a minute to "re-find" where things have been re-assigned to (location on the screen/program). It is really an all-in-one app. Recent updates have made it more intuitive to use. Cons The price is becoming unaffordable for my small business. The reporting is terrible -- I have to amend all of my 2023 sales taxes because of inconsistencies in reports. That clients can price-shop my selections on Houzz. Pros The transition from mood board to a proposal to invoice to purchase order has a good flow. I like that everything is automatically saved on proposals and invoices unlike before. Cons Some clients have a problem with pulling up pay links. I don't like that you can't see the entire product info without expanding the view - this is very confusing to clients. Operations Manager | Owner Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "No return on investment, terrible customer service" November 16, 2022 3.0 I've been a customer of Houzz Pro for 7 months and as a small business owner (who also happens to be a sales operations manager in my 2nd life and works with databases for a living), I desperately wanted this product to work for us. We needed a way to streamline estimates and make them them more efficient for our carpentry business. From the very start, however, I found the platform to be glitchy, and frustrating to use - it's not as intuitive as they promote it to be. The item catalogue is clunky, and unless you track expenses they way they do, you'll end up keying in your own items which, again, is extremely difficult to update. When I reached out to customer service on multiple occasions with questions, feedback, concerns - their responses tended toward resistance over actually being helpful. Very frustrating experience, and this last interaction with their support team has cost them a customer for life. Proceed with caution if you are a small business owner on a tight budget and are looking for a tool to make your life easier. HouzzPro is probably NOT your answer. Pros I loved the IDEA of having a CRM tailored for my carpentry business that allowed us to streamline estimates and make them more efficient. I also liked that it captured eSignatures on proposals, and allow us to connect Quickbooks and collect deposits on the spot. Cons I found the estimating tool to be difficult to use. The product catalogue, while intriguing to know that they populate values for common construction items, it's REALLY cumbersome to sift through, and if you aren't pricing items the way they do, it becomes irrelevant and you will find yourself spending an inordinate amount of time keying in your own items, only to have to update them manually each time you create a new estimate. There was no time saving in this tool at all for me, and have found going back to a google sheet much simpler. Review Source KB Kevin B. Pros What I like the most about Houzz Pro is the ease of being able to see all my leads. The quality and versatility to be able to showcase all my projects. The communication I can have with potential clients. I still have so much to learn about Houzz pro , and what it could do for my small buisness. Its very professional Cons I have tried a few features like 3-d - It's a little wonky- I give a much better result using software's like auto cad and chief architect. The 3d and plan layout would be good for decorators not designers or architects. I also tried the site survey option , where the tools measures a space for you and generates itself into a plan. this is a big miss. Easy to use, easy to track leads and calls. Cons The APP does not seem optimized for use with an IPad I would prefer that leads be sent via Text message and not just emailI’ve noticed that many leads will not respond when i reply to their initial message with a message.. so calling the lead back is required as most will not reply to a message, as i can only assume the same lead is sent to multiple contractors. I will say the the very short 30 minute sessions with the Onboarding Specialists are WAY TOO SHORT amount of time to get anything done to set up and optimize the profile. With out the proper set up we won't get the marketing metrics we're looking for to support renewing the annual contract with Houzz Pro. Pros All - love that it is a full service solution. Cons We wish the Houzz CRM had a "lead follow up reminder" function like Salesforce so that we could note conversations with our Houzz leads, and next steps, as well as set reminders to call leads back through out the pre-sales cycle.
