Having these tools has also leveled up my professionalism with my clients. Pros Houzz Pro makes designing for my clients super simple! I especially love the room scanning tool to build my floorpans! Cons I don't like how the set up suggestions stay up on your profile. I wish those were hide-able. It is also pricey to add a second user, however unavoidable. There are a few hiccups while using it but still very helpful. Pros Tracking products, the product clipper extension, and mood boards. Cons Purchasing gets confusing. Especially the way taxes are set up. Sometimes vendors calculate their taxes slightly different so there's no way to add a tax or additional fees column to balance our quotes vs. the taxes calculated by Houzz pro. Most leads received are real, and are good fits for our company. Pros The user interface is easy to use. Leads are well tracked/simple to make notes. Any changes made to our website, which is through Houzz as well, are easy to make from the Houzz pro web application. Their customer service has been helpful when we need to make adjustments. Cons Only one 'admin' can be a 'super user' of the site. I understand the thought behind this, that you don't want too many cooks in the kitchen, however, it would be great if you could more easily assign roles to admins rather than having one super user with all the power. Pros The estimates with AI. So nice to give a customer a rough estimate right on site. Cons Well I can’t get the lidar to work on my phone for the 3d scanner. Just frustrating. Customer service is pretty good though and I’m working through the issue. wish this system could do edits on my phone/ipad. Also make this lidar work for decks or other outside projects. It meets many of the needs I have as a boutique full-service interior design firm. I have tried many other software programs and Houzz Pro is one of the easiest and most functional. Pros I was an original Ivy user years ago, and recently came back to Houzz Pro after trying many other interior design software programs that were good, but not great. The 3D room scanner and floor plan generator was what drew me back - it's been such a useful tool! While I don't use Houzz for lead generation or client communication, I do send my clients their portal links to view their project details (selections, moodboards, etc.) live, which has been a great feature. Cons The 3D room scanner has glitches; I've noticed that in very large spaces (ie. an open living/dining room in a large A-frame house with 25' h ceilings) the scan was so inaccurate that it was useless. It's also not able to scan new construction (ie. framed-in walls with no drywall). It went downhill the last year with qualified leads, but with my doing a better job of managing my website and their reorganization I am confident the lead quality will be better. Pros I have been subscribing to Houzz for many years and what I like about Houzz Pro is that it has everything any builder, remodeler, subcontractor, architect or designer needs to help your business succeed. Tried to negotiate a more fair deal after the automatically renewed subscription but they would not shorten the contract. They don’t care about their customers! Cons Renewed subscription automatically. Price went up threefold. Renewed for another year and would not shorten term. Offered to downgrade program which is less expensive but totally useless to me. Pros I really liked the ability to create a 3D model and have different views I can choose from such as dollhouse and walkthrough. I appreciate the paint color feature so I can choose the wall colors that will actually be on the walls. And I enjoyed the ability to use actual items I might purchase in the home for decor. Cons The only things I didn't like were that I couldn't choose the exact flooring or countertops, and I couldn't map out landscaping. It would also be beneficial to see the different elevation views. They said I could cancel, but then charged me about $130 for an that I used for five minutes. SCAM. Stay away from this company. Pros Nothing. I tried to use the app to model what my new home would look like with certain furniture, but the app was terrible for that purpose. Cons This company scammed me out of money. I tried to sign up for the free account, but I think I signed up for the wrong one. It is a SCAM!!! Bad company, don't trust their customer service. Pros The option the client has to approve and disapprove individual items on their end. It is user friendly for client facing and billing. Not so much for internal company use. It auto saves. Cons It is not simple and user friendly to use, especially in comparison to Studio Designer, which I loved.
