In a day to day implementation I have had very few complaints and feel like this works well for my small business. Pros This is an easy to use and intuitive application that has helped to streamline and concentrate tasks in my business. Cons I have found some modules to be oversimplified. Ive been trying to use it after i paid a lot of money for it, and i can't. The manager i was assigned to doesn't answer nor call me. Customer service is terrible, and nothing gets resolved. While they are trying to sale you their service they are readily available anytime you call or email. Once you pay for the services noone will help you. Noone else will help you. You have to depend on the salesperson that tricks you into purchasing a subscription every time you call. Cons Nothing is to like so far. Our posted projects were viewed and complimented regularly and we were even given a Best Of Houzz award, twice I believe. Users of the site seemed genuinely interested, but many had no set plans to build or remodel, and of these that did they were in very early in the process. This placed your potential sale somewhere between 1-2 years out and never. That's fine if that is what you're lead to expect, but that wasn't the case. September 10, 2024 5.0 Have used HOUZZ for close to 10 years. Best office assistant I have. Pros HOUZZ provides services that I do not have. I can develop home plans for clients. Know nothing about hosting websites. Using HOUZZ, I have met clients who live around the corner and others far away. My clients can leave reviews which makes others clients confident to reach out to me. Cons They offer a lot of services I do not need. I am sure GC's like these services. Pros The option the client has to approve and disapprove individual items on their end. It is user friendly for client facing and billing. Not so much for internal company use. It auto saves. Cons It is not simple and user friendly to use, especially in comparison to Studio Designer, which I loved. This year, I decided to refresh my subscriptions and got introduced to Houzz Pro and WOW! I am blown away by the upgrades of this service and how easy it is tp use. Pros I like how intuitive it is and how inclusive. The service as a whole could take me from concept to completion with each design project. Cons I've only been in in for the month, so I'm learning as I go, but so far there has been a lot of help to understand the details and services. Responses are fast. Not many people want to pay for my time to get something worked up on it. I work by myself so its not cost effective if im not able to charge for using it. Pros Floor plan layout with the different colors and textures of thing. My clients have been impress with the AR funtion. Getting to see your kitchen while its still just studs is great for making minor changes before its to late. Cons It takes a while to get all the functions and feature down. I guess you could call it user friendly after you get the hang of it. I dont get to use it all that often so its a learning curve to get it if you dont use it everyday. I thinknthe full feature is a little overpriced for the small guy that doesnt have but one or two employees or works by themselves. Review Source MT Marie T. Pros As a new company it has been a great way to build an online portfolio, showcase my projects and a way for people to FIND me. I like that my profile gets pushed to the top in my market. You also get an account manager to help you with onboarding and things that come up along the way. Cons That you can’t get out of the contract via the admin portal. For a new company $3,000 is a lot of money to dish out right away. If it were half that for 1st year, that would help. I also don’t get that many leads from it. If I’m going to be paying the high cost I wish it came with a few more advertising features. Pros I like the ease of set-up, the multiple available features, the availability of help and feedback from Houzz associates. For a company our size (2-5 employees) it is an affordable alternative to other project management software that is usually exorbitantly expensive. Cons Some of the features are still a little wonky, but the company is still actively trying to improve the product so it's not a huge problem. Can't go to google to leave a review because they seem to have paid google to remove that option. Now it makes sense where my money went. To protect them from negative reviews. Shady company and even creepier employees. Pros The sales pitch. They made it sound like the leads would start flowing in! More like my money flowed into their account and they took a vacation! Cons Horrible customer service. Lock you into a contract then don't provide any leads. Cons I wish you could create the schedule for a project. Then, when you make the items in the schedule off, it should create an invoice entry.
