Pros No hassle getting the vaccines we need and concerned of the cost and they check eligibility for each patient so you know what vaccines are covered under their insurance plan. Cons Partner Bill when you have to file the insurance for the patients that Vaxcare is not contracted with. USE them AT YOUR OWN COST" January 13, 2026 1.0 The company bought back my vaccines supplies lower than my actual cost . they ignored my lack of signing the contract and paid their price any way. They never assigned an account manager. They are out of network for several plans without telling you and if the insurance does not cover the vaccine they automatically taking out the charges from your vaccine reimbursement. I have contacted many times the company but you can never get any one other than customer care over the phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY other wise you will lose money on vaccines. They are charging me 8000 dollars for the vaccines that showed on their device that is covered but the insurance never paid so without notifying us they deducted from reimbursement check. So we actually gave free vaccines to 110 patients in just 90 days since we started with them. Pros nothing. I have not seen anything about this company that I like. November 8, 2024 5.0 My experience with VaxCare has been nothing but top notch! Pros We are able to provide risk free vaccines, the VaxCare system is so easy to use and provides us real time vaccine coverage which has increased the number of vaccines we give, easy inventory management, and the support team is promptly responsive, knowledgable and efficient in answering questions or solving issues. Cons Can't think of anything I don't like about it. It is a cost-effective means for immunizations that fits a small rural health department perfectly. We greatly appreciate VaxCare's willingness to listen and work through any issues. It has been a true partnership. Pros Convenient, cost effective, and the ability to adapt it to our practice. Cons We have not encountered major issues. There are technical glitches on occasion, but nothing major. We agreed to try Vaxcare because it increased our ability to offer vaccines. However, after having someone drop off the equipment, there was no follow=up by the company. We literally could not use the system for six months and had to repeatedly attempt to contact them. It took them months to get the patient data uploaded, and it all had to be manually entered until it was, which took hours of staff time. The agreement was that they were supposed to purchase our inventory and then supply all the vaccines and compensate us $15 per vaccine for administration. They claimed our vaccine supply as their own, but never paid us for it. They only offered us less than half what we had paid for the vaccines, so we wouldn't have accepted the offer anyway (we were told that they would purchase our supply at our cost, but they never offered that). They now are trying to tell us that we owe them for those vaccines, even though they never purchased them from us. They only paid us $90 total for administering the vaccines for the entire year. That is compensation for only six vaccines, despite administering hundreds of vaccines for them. Their system is supposed to update the state vaccination database, but it rarely works. We had to make an appointment to speak to someone about problems, but they wouldn't keep the appointment. The only communication we had with them was apparently from a low level employee that is uninformed... Pros Vax care is a great program for vaccines for all ages, especially in the rural area's. Inventory management is easy and ordering vaccine and supplies is an easy process as well. Cons nothing at this time, we have always had a great experience working with them. Emailing the team is also another great option, as they respond within 24-36 hours. There are some barriers when talking about patients, as they don't first ask for DOB or ACCT #, so at times, I'm having to spell a patient's last name that could be very similar, i.e. Johnstons, Howards, etc... Pros When it comes to checking out vaccines for patients, it automatically prompts you if the vaccine is out of age range. It is an added safety feature - given vaccines can look similar, it does a double check to ensure you're administering the appropriate medications. I also appreciate the automated system of sending vaccines. After doing weekly inventory and having set thresholds for certain vaccines, it takes the guesswork out of when to order and even the act of having to order. Cons It doesn't quite capture the expiration dates consistently. We are finding some vaccines need to be removed 1-2 weeks after the expiration date and it's a concern for safety as well. July 5, 2024 5.0 We have worked with VaxCare for over 10 years and I've never had a problem that wasn't easily resolved. Pros VaxCare is very easy to work with. They keep our vaccine stocked without delays. It is great to be able to offer private insurance vaccine without the hassle of becoming a provider and billing the insurance companies. Used the software for: 3-5 years ### "Recommended HIGHLY to any office wanting an affordable immunization solution" August 7, 2020 5.0 Overall, VaxCare has allowed us to reach a under-served population in our community. The private insurance and high-deductible individuals are able to choose between billing their insurance or just choosing the self-pay option and saving themselves some money. Also, we are able to provide immunization services to schools and long term care facilities on a large scale basis with ease of the School Cares portal and easy take and go hub. Pros VaxCare is a quick, easy to learn software/program. Their support staff make sure you are ready to operate before going live and are there if needed every step of the way. My office has 11 staff that directly interface with the program and they range on all levels of technicality, but no one has any issues with operating VaxCare software due to its ease of access. Cons There can be a lag between devices (computer & the hub) if your internet isn't high speed. This is f no fault to VaxCare, but can be a little frustrating during clinics where you are doing 300+ shots in one day. They let you know when the count is off and make our workers more accountable on a daily basis. The ability to have vaccines available to all patients without inventory is priceless. Pros I have been practicing pediatrics for greater than 45 years. Vaxcare is the simplest way to handle all vaccines. No need to try and inventory expensive vaccines. They are efficient and extremely fair on their reimbursement. I would recommend them 100%. Cons I have found no flaws in their delivery. No cons at this time. They perform well in all area from delivery to timely payments. It is user-friendly and helps keep us on top of vaccines. Pros Easy to use, no out-of-pocket cost for practice, HL7 with EMR and MCIR. The training and support is fantastic. Cons Sensitivity with insurance payers rarely is an issue but we do have some minimal hiccups with that.
