As the expense approver, I'm presented with a list of expenses my team has submitted and can either go through them one by one or approve them in a batch. Pros I just need to upload my invoice, receipt, etc., to the correct place, and the software will read everything on its own, extract the correct category for the expense, and keep you in the loop for the final confirmation or adjustments. It's easy for the finance team to return expense claims that lack specific data points, and you can correct them without the need to go through everything over once more. Cons You can upload receipts and additional evidence only with the initial submission; you cannot submit them later. It is only possible when the Finance team returns the expense, which typically requires additional messaging with your team. Sometimes the OCR/AI will give your expense claim a weird title that may also include names of other users of the system. During the sales process, the platform was presented as being “almost free,” while the actual costs turned out to be nearly €3,000 per month. In hindsight, only part of the pricing and contractual obligations were disclosed transparently. They managed to convince our controller with an incomplete picture, while important commercial and contractual details were not properly highlighted. Once signed, you are locked into a very restrictive 3-year contract with little to no flexibility. Our experience: extremely expensive, lacking transparency, and highly aggressive commercially. Our advice to other businesses: think carefully before signing with Payhawk and have all pricing and contractual terms thoroughly reviewed before committing. Not a pleasant company to work with. Pros Easy to make a credit card for your employees, but that's it. But at companies like Revolut you can do this for free. Review Source Joel M. Manufacturing Quality Engineer Used the software for: Less than 1 year ### "Payhawk makes simple what before was a headache" October 5, 2022 4.0 My experience with Payhawk is very good, before I was using other softwares like Captio which were not working very well and the Artificial Intelligence failed a lot. With Payhawk is different, the ticket reading is simple and fast and the creation of reports and expenses is almost on live. I have a 200 EUR prepaid card which is always ready just for some regular shopping on stores or even Amazon which is very fast for the business. Pros No more ticketing control, no more saving papers that you can lose. Just take pictures of the tickets while travelling or buying some stuff for work and that's all. The AI will read all data and will introduce all numbers and dates into the app to make the automatic report. For my company, I have 200 EUR prepaid card just for regular shopping or when one day travelling so it's very convenient. Cons There are no much cons actually, everything is quite visual and easy to follow. You need a short training at the beginning to understand all features but the rest is smooth. Cons When I get a refund (e.g. a lost package from Amazon), I still have to upload the refund invoice even though the transfer to the card already contains all the information.
