I deeply appreciate the team behind Gather. I can tell that they pour themselves into this product and are consistently working on it. I can tell that they are focused on ease of use as well as letting us access the information, reports, and other details that we need. I am grateful for how easy it is to connect with someone on the team that can answer my questions any time I am trying something new, etc.

Pros

Gather is easy to use. After learning about the basics, I have quickly expanded my knowledge on it and have been able to make custom changes for our funeral home on the system. Gather makes it easy to manage our clients' documents, too. We have a couple of locations, and I am able to access the information on both with ease, and that helps our team collaboration. Everyone can stay on top of all of our cases as needed. Lastly, any time that I do have a question, customer support is easy to access and I receive responses and answers quickly.

Cons

I wish I could tweak the the aspect ratio for our different log-in screens. I wish I could scroll across the various recent cases without having to scroll down to see the side scroll bar. This is a tiny thing, I know. Also, I wish that the caskets had other personalized tags we could add to them.

They were difficult to reach. We had someone assigned to us that would take days to get back to us, and then even after we would hear from him, we'd have to send out detailed emails and then we'd have to wait for days after he then sent off the requests to different specialized departments.

My overall experience with Gather has been exceptional. After losing our old funeral software program, the team made the transition seamless. \[sensitive content hidden\] were incredibly responsive, supportive, and patient, helping me learn a new web-based program quickly and efficiently. Even as I continue learning, I feel confident knowing they’re just a call away. I highly recommend Gather to anyone considering a change.

Pros

What I liked most about Gather was the easy navigation of the program and the team’s helpful, patient support throughout the learning process.

Cons

Learning to navigate and fully understand all the features of a new web based program took time, but the team’s support made it manageable.

Each interaction we've had with our team has been not only upbeat and enjoyable, but also informative and productive.

Pros

We are in the process of switching over to Gather from another provider and the customer support we have received thus far has been incredible. We have an excellent team who are each on the ball and very communicative. The Gather platform itself has beautiful customization and is so easy to navigate. The online showroom is a favorite already. We are beyond excited to be fully integrated!

Cons

No legitimate cons so far. They're continually growing and adding more options to the customization.

The Gather product is easy to use and has a lot of bells and whistles. The staff has been easy to work with.

Pros

My customer support team is extraordinary. \[sensitive content hidden\] is exceptional. He takes what I am saying and understands what I mean. It is a rare talent and I value him greatly.

Cons

I am not able to get a list of requested fixes and estimated completion dates. Because of this, I have to request a fix multiple times.

Overall, the team at Gather has been professional, respectful, extremely patient and extremely helpful. Gather provides not just brief answers but thoughtful explanations and detailed descriptions of various steps including videos when appropriate. Having the opportunity to use the system and be hands on long before we go live seems to be setting us up for success.

Pros

We are not yet using the Gather product, but I am impressed with the set-up process that they have in place. It requires our involvement every step of the way and I am anticipating a smooth transition when our system is ready to go live. The team has been incredibly patient with us, accepting revisions and adjustments as each piece is put in place. I like that we get to 'test' each feature and each document and give feedback and ask for tweaks as we go along. The playbook is very helpful, providing a weekly check in of where we are in the process and what has been completed vs what steps are next. I am looking forward to our first team training to even more in-depth guidance.

Cons

The themes for the website Memory pages seem a little cartoonish and there are not as many options as we are used to. The Workflows are taking some getting used to. It is quite different for us and feels a little awkward (we are not fully functional yet so have not actually used this in the manner it is intended).

Wonderful so far. Our families are much more interactive with our website since using Gather and we have had very positive feedback.

Pros

Gather is all encompassing. Before switching to Gather, I had roughly 5 or 6 vendors I was paying separately, whose tasks could all be done within Gather. I was greatly relieved to have everything under one roof. I had been looking for this solution for years. Their graphics and interface are easy to use and look great.

Cons

The transition to new software is never fun, and that was hard, but Gather was with us every step of the way and guided us through it.

Cons

Delays in response to questions through email. Phone team is great, but they also defer to your "team" through email or phone that can be hard to reach.

It has been wonderful. Everyone I speak or chat with is pleasant, and they are always willing to help, even if what I am asking is silly.

Pros

I like having case information on all my devices, wherever I am. I also love the beauty of our webpages and how case information populates them automatically. We have entered our pre-needs and are working on integrating with Homesteaders, which is a bonus. It is so lovely to be at home and see the pre-need information; it saves trips to the office. I also love that Gather is constantly innovating and adding more features without raising costs.

Cons

I wish I could add more than one video on the remember page. Sometimes, we have a Tukios tribute video and a video recording. I also do not like that the service times change according to time zone. This has tripped up several families, and I now have to add a note below the service information that states the service time and that it is Pacific time. It's just one more step, if the time just displayed as the time zone the service is in there would be a lot less confusion.

As New Owner of a high-volume funeral home group you need to be able to collaborate and work with a team that is modern and progressive, while the same time, honoring traditions, and the taste fullness of the ways of our industry. Working with all the folks at Gather, we have meticulously designed and updated software management program for our firm. That means the needs of all sides and facets of our services. Gather is constantly improving the services they render to their clients just as we are as a Funeral provider, they truly believe in the mutual understanding of succeeding together.

Pros

The things I’ve enjoyed the most about Gather is the case management software, our firm operates a large cremation service, as well as a standard traditional funeral service, and a livery service for embalming, transfers, and more! Gather allows me to cross reference my revenue, my case reports and my individual client needs in a smooth, innovative cloud-based way that I can operate from my home, my office, my cell phone, no matter where I need to be.

I’ve had no issues with Gather, and have continuously referred it to my colleagues
