Pros

  • The ability to run reports and collect data is easy to do and extremely helpful to us when it comes to showing who we meet with, the amount of time we spend with them, and what progress looks like.

  • This will be super beneficial as we continue to serve more clients. The customer service is superb from the initial interest to getting onboarding.

  • The advantage of using Casebook is that you will capture data on all of your clients smoothly and effectively. Thanks, Casebook, for such amazing software.

  • We have had a wonderful experience from our first interaction with the team at Casebook. We highly recommend this platform for anyone that wants ease of use and superb customer service and support.

Cons

  • This was a horrible experience and a waste of thousands of dollars.

  • The software is very disjointed. They do not allow you to look around in the demo.

  • We would rather have to work around this lack of flexibility than have the product devolve into something over-complicated.

  • Having to store custom data in Form.io forms, which are rigid to work with and difficult to report on, is by far our biggest limitation right now.

"Housing Case Manager Casebook Review"

Overall: It is way better than using the traditional paper filing case management system, however there are still some ways to go to perfecting it. Overall, I am happy to be able to have the software over not and I still think it is a great tool.

Pros: I like that it is mostly pretty basic, and easy to understand. I like that it is neater, safer, and more convenient then paper files and notes. I like that it is customizable and that my colleagues can easily access the information that I want them to see easily or I can restrict it.

Cons: That there is no android app that I can access Casebook from my phone from, and that there is not much for filing, holding onto, and organizing paperwork, documents, etc. I also do not care for how it appears so much and the lack of explanation in some way for the applications. I also wish there were areas that were more generalized and not specific just to clients but that the software could be more customizable to our company and how we run, rather than us having to conform to the software.

"Daily relief "

Overall: 10/10

"New User"

Overall: Has made my job a lot easier and able to maintain case notes and clients information. Hoping to have more time to use other features!

Pros: The layout of client files and case notes. Reports!! Once I have a chance to implement

Cons: Sometimes hard to navigate sections when trying to add " relationships". In addition multiple entries of same information.

Reasons for Choosing Casebook: Case management support and topics that are not given in other products.

"No as happy as I had hoped to be....."

Pros: We have not found anything what we like most thus far.

Cons: This system has been our data more complicated and less user-friendly than our 30-year-old notebooks. There are FAR TOO MANY fields we don't need. There should be a way to hide what we don't need. Additionally, there are many fields that we need that we can't rename or find a place to universally put them. We thougth we were going to be able to use the system in real time...NOPE (if so its far to difficult to use and find.) We came with several requirements but one major need "to be able to simplify our communications". There is NO ABILITY to communicate. And maybe that's our fault we allowed those selling us the product to keep up consummed with our other requirement and allowed one word answers to suffice. Additionally, uploading is a joke. It was going to take us longer for figure that out "with video assistance" than just sitting down and spending hours and hours keying in all the data from stratch. I think the one thing that spoiled it for us compeletly was our ONBOARDING EXPERIENCE. The onboarding training we paid EXTRA for. The young lady we had seemed generally fine at first but soon in to the process -- we started getting convicting information, attitude and resistance. The unwillingness to make it simple for us, to not speak from a place of knowledge but to make sure we got it was not the goal. We had 45 minutes/or 60 minutes and we had to get it or not but she was moving on. She made a bad situation much worst. Bad customer service can change everything.

"Outcome is flexible; process is cumbersome"

Overall: It is fantastic to have all information captured electronically. The flexibility of the set-up enables us to capture additional fields on an ongoing basis. Reporting so far seems to produce what we need, and the help desk is very responsive. It has just been an unexpectedly cumbersome experience which we are still sorting out. We are not finished with our implementation but do hope and expect to achieve what we need to streamline our process.

Pros: The software is flexible allowing organizations to customize for specific needs. The help desk is extremely responsive.

Cons: The implementation process was not what we expected. We started with someone who left the company after we had received two sessions. We were asked for our own internal reports up front which we assumed would be used to frame the training. It seemed we just jumped right into entering data without being asked how we use it or report on it. This led to much re-doing of set-up. There were a number of "quick tips" that would have been helpful to know about up front. Much of the implementation is left up to the customer to read and learn on their own. It is confusing from an operational workflow perspective to enter intakes, people and cases all separately. It would be easier to enter them in one flow of work. It would also have been ideal to completely customize the order in which fields are listed as well as the fields itself. Ultimately, the software enables us to capture data needed but the workflow is not simple from an operational perspective.In short, having Casebook truly understand our organization up front both operationally and as it pertains to reporting would have enabled the implementation process to be more productive.

"Casebook use in small human services organization"

Overall: Client/case file management

Pros: The system has simple form and user interface creation. Adding users is simple.

Cons: Lack of ability to customize data fields, remove or delete fields we do not use. Lack of implementation support, You must install and implement the software yourself, alot of client data must be entered manually. Implementation on our own was challenging, and we had planned to pay for some implementation assistance from a vendor, but it was not even an option.

"Easy to learn and use on the daily basis! "

Overall: Overall, the experience has been swell. Casebook is easy to understand and implement.

Pros: I like that I can access casebook from anywhere, with an internet connection, it is simple to access.

Cons: Our stats reporting doesn't come out in order, so the stats have to be organized.

"Casebook for Non-Profit management"

Overall: Overall we have had a less than thrilling experience with the product and have run into many difficulties as we try to record people data as best as we can. We had to completely change the way that we used the system about 6 months into using it. It has resolved a lot of issues for us, however was a time consuming and difficult process.

Pros: What I appreciate most about this software is how it growing with our organization. Casebook is listening to what we need and adapting the platform to meet those needs.

Cons: What I like least about this platform is it's lack of customization. Not only was it hard for our organization to completely grasp new verbiage instead of implementing our own, but we are also limited to the capabilities only that the system already has, which was not the impression we had at the beginning.

Reasons for Choosing Casebook: Casebook was able to meet our financial needs at a more convenient level.

"Review about casebook"

Overall: Definitely very easy to use.

Pros: I like how we can add notes. The last software we had did not have that option.

Cons: I would like for easier ways to document instead of a 5 step thing.

"My Casebook Thoughts"

"User Friendly"

Pros: The software makes it easy to create a case, manage it and create reports to understand trends.

Cons: For our purpose, we do not use the intake tab. It was a unnecessary step

"Case Book is Mid"

Overall: It is fine but i would prefer if it had more ease of use.

Pros: I enjoy that anyone in the company can access and update client information

Cons: Nothing about this software is intuitive and, especially for our older coworkers, is difficult to use.

"Great Case Management"

"Good program"

Overall: I feel like overall this program is good.

Pros: I do like how thorough this program is in collecting client information and providing space for case notes.

Cons: Ease of customizable reporting. As a nonprofit, our grants ask for very specific information.

Reasons for Switching to Casebook: Osnium is fairly outdated compared to some of the newer options out there. Casebook allows us to do almost everything that Osnium did and makes access easier by being on an online format, which our old program was not.

"Very Disjointed Software"

Overall: We decided to use another software to track cases.

Pros: The automation processes with client and providers.

Cons: The software is very disjointed. They do not allow you to look around in the demo. Features are in some modules but not in others like filling in forms. The system is not easy to use to track client and others connected to case. Documentation is sparse and they will onboard you over 6 weeks while charging you the monthly fees.

"Review "

Pros: Having easy access to the Resource Parents information contact information. Being able to search easily, upload documents and update resource parents information.

Cons: When uploading attachments, the documents are not sorted from newest to oldest. When correcting clients name, it makes me change it only as if is a new client, which then the past documents attached to the client is no longer on the new corrected page.

"Casebook assitance "

Overall: The people at Casebook are great to assist, also the use of the system is great

Pros: I have learned over the past few weeks that casebook is not hard to navigate and it makes my work environment more fluid

Cons: learning how to use it has been the most challenging for me

"Good product for small nonprofit "

Overall: This software has taken my unorganized paper files and turned them into organized online files. Everything is in one place, it is easy to find, and I know it is safe.

Pros: I like how organized I am with this software.

Cons: There is a lot to figure out, and I simply have not had the time to learn everything.

Reasons for Choosing Casebook: I was able to talk to someone from casebook at a conference and they sold me on it

"Great but needs more flexibility for customization "

Pros: It looks great and is relatively user-friendly once onboarding is finalized.

Cons: The limited customization options and features. Some features that are missing include multiple choice fields, easier blend between intake and engage, and a way to easily integrate hotline calls.

"Perfect software "

Pros: Customizable, most applications aren't excited about change. Casebook actually looks to meet your needs

"Simple and effective"

Pros: Casebook is user friendly and simple to navigate

Cons: We currently use the "forms" section for casenotes in order to be able to track services accurately for our clients.

"Great tool for tracking program"

Pros: Features are easy to use, the dashboard is very visually appealing and the reports are customizable.

Cons: Still working through the kinks but thus far any issues we have encountered have been resolved by the team.
