The features are very practically and well thought out. Updates and support are great. For us, the upgrade to the paid version is definitely worth the price. It was also easy to integrate it into my website, and I was easily able to customize its colors to match the look and feel of my website. Cons I wish it had iCal integration since that is what the consultants in my company use to manage their individual calendars. Cons If you are the only employee you still have to enter it in the "employee" field and then many things are not understandable such as when you add a service, you must necessarily match it to the only user who is logged in and usually when you are the only user there expects the software to automatically recognize that there are no other active employees. If you put calendar beside another element, as you fill in the fields (calendar with sidebar) this stretches too much and breaks the layout forcing you to create a page just for the calendar. Also, the calendar design cannot be changed much, just fonts and colors. With the documentation and video's available I was able to set it up quite fast. When I had a small problem with the settings, support responded fast and was very helpful. Pros There are a lot's of tutorial video's which are a great help with the settings and adjustments of the plugin. If there's something you need help with the supportteam is very friendly, fast and helpful. Cons Not a real con, but it took a me while to completely adjust Amelia to what I wanted it to look like, but I think that's more me being a novice and not tech wiz. Reason for choosing Amelia When I looked for a plugin I did find some others (I don't remember the names any more) but Amelia had a more modern look and looked way easier to set-up then the others, so I decided for Amelia. There is a lot of great documentation available, and the support team were really responsive and helpful when I've had questions. Pros I found it to be very customisable, with all the features we were looking for, including individual bookings, classes and events, online payment options, easy online booking, ability to fully customise notification emails, and integrate with other functions; for example, using WooCommerce integration I was able to implement gift vouchers. Cons The only issue I've come across is when taking a deposit rather than full payment, there is no process for collecting the balance, it will need to be tracked and followed up manually; not a big issue though. Also the form styling options are a bit limited. Pros What I liked most about Amelia is that in general all its features cover the needs of my business to create appointments. Cons I didn't like that: 1. It is not possible to add more than one employee to a reservation. I mean, I think you should provide the possibility of adding more than one employee to the reservations. 2. That when creating a reservation from the calendar, it is not possible to enter the client's phone number among the data. 3. That it does not allow more data to be displayed in the Preview of the calendar cards. I would like these cards to be configurable and one can define which data can be seen and which cannot when hovering the cursor over it. March 25, 2021 5.0 We offer Amelia to all of our clients as the go-to appointment booking calendar. Everyone we made WordPress installations for who used Amelia loved it. It is surprisingly good for the price they offer. Their customer support is stellar. They have immediately responded to all of the questions we had and made sure to assure us all of the things we liked least about the software will be fixed as soon as they can. Pros Amelia is easy to have up and running minutes after buying it. It is the best looking calendar for online appointment reservations I have seen to date and it has amazing support that helps with any possible issues you might have. Cons There are some issues with the way they build the front end, namely the lack of support for custom styling of the dates through CSS classes. It was an easy process and the end-user is very happy with how it came out. The functionality of Amelia is amazing, and the best part is that it is the cheapest of the options, yet has the best features. If you need a solid booking manager, Amelia is the way to go! Pros It is easy to set up and it works out of the box. It took me entire five minutes to have it up and running, and even less to make it look nice and match my theme. Cons Some features are hard to understand. For instance, I was hard pressed to understand how to translate some titles, and how to style the frontend to my liking once I dug deeper into customization. Reason for choosing Amelia I went through many options when looking for a suitable plugin and Amelia always came out on top, both with features and affordable price.
