We are a small organisation with limited capacity and technical experience. Atmire handled the technical issues for us and guided us easily through the decisions we needed to make to set up our repository. Pros We needed a robust and reliable product where the technical aspects of our repository \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] were handled on our behalf. The repository is a key part of our service to our users and we chose Atmire because we believed they could deliver on this for us using the Open Repository/Dspace software. I should say that we are very happy with both Atmire's support and with the Open Repository/Dspace. We are confident we made the right decision. Cons There are some areas where we believe the product could be enhanced. However, because Atmire are committed to improving and implementing future versions of Open Repository/Dspace we are confident that our suggestions will be listened to and acted on in the future. Easy access to ongoing research is particularly important during the current global pandemic. Pros This software easily integrates with existing library digital platforms, including linksolvers, Discovery tools, library management systems. It is easily customised to suit the organisation's strategic objectives. Cons The navigation could be improved. It would be beneficial if an app could be created that added more functionality as we are increasing seeing access from users on mobile devices. I can achieve a high rate of free publications archiving in the repository. The construction of an overall structure with departments und working groups within was easily achieved using the Armire repository. The technical support by Atmire has been outstanding! Pros The semi-automated import of metadata. A few selected fields still have to be filled out manually since I think they are important to our users. The great ticket system and the timely solutions offered if I run into problems. Cons Some ways to achieve a certain result often change between updates and it usually takes a while to get into a routine flow of work.
