A product’s price can vary greatly based on features needed, support or training required, and customization requests. Some vendors want a chance to talk to you before being ruled out for pricing. When you find a product that fits your needs, you should talk to the vendor to figure out what they can offer.
Tekmon Reviews
"A tool that automates and frees up precious time"
Pros: The app itself is very helpful—it saves time and manual data entry! My favourite feature is reporting. We can now have daily reports instead of monthly reports, as we used to when we ran data on Excel sheets. Another benefit is the elimination of human error that comes with automating manual processes. The app speeds up the process and makes it more comprehensive. Since all the forms can now exist digitally, the findings are sent automatically to the head of the unit to sign off instead of having to bring him the actual document like we were doing previously. The bonus is that customer support is excellent—they always meet our needs.
Cons: We currently use Tekmon for the quality assurance department, and it has made a big difference. Before Tekmon, the process involved three different steps: several in-house testers were in charge of tasting the food products to evaluate quality, and when they were done, they had to fill in paper forms with their findings. Next, these forms were taken care of by the person in charge of quality assurance who would log the data in the system. At the end of the month, it was time to report the findings. Fast-forward to now: as soon as the tasting is done, the tasters add their feedback through the app, and, voila, the findings are inserted automatically into the system. Thanks to that, we can automatically generate reports by the end of each day. The platform has reduced the time we need to process data and conduct reports: this would have taken ten to twelve hours before, so now there’s a day and a half more to dedicate to other pressing tasks. I would easily recommend Tekmon for the reasons above. We are also impressed to see a Greek startup recognised internationally and supporting digitisation in so many business cases.
"Extremely responsive team and ever-evolving software"
Overall: I work for a leading company in the aluminium industry, and we rely on Tekmon for streamlining Health & Safety processes. We've digitised our procedures, asset management, and real-time KPI monitoring, continuously enhancing features. Beyond users and admins, department directors utilize Tekmon to track data, facilitating shift manager involvement in training and Personal Protective Equipment handling. Using the registration form, they can log into the system that X worker got the boots he needs or did the training required before starting his shift, for instance. Starting with a pilot program in September 2022, we swiftly transitioned from paper-based to digital processes across 15 departments. Tekmon's cross-device compatibility caters to our diverse workforce, with desktops favoured by older generations.
Pros: What I appreciate most is the team's constant support, which was crucial when we switched to Tekmon. Unlike our previous one, the app is reliable and dynamic, seamlessly adding new features. Our users quickly adapted to the app's ease of use, surprising us positively during training sessions. My favourite aspect is the app's agility—I can instantly measure new metrics, create forms, delegate tasks, and track progress effortlessly using the Business Intelligence tool. It couldn't be simpler!
Cons: Nothing comes to mind! We are content with the software and the team. I would recommend Tekmon to any company facing similar challenges to ours, both for the ever-developing software that offers multiple solutions for business operations and for excellent customer service on every level.
"P. Damianakos"
Overall: As an operations manager at the distribution centre of a food retail chain, I introduced Tekmon to the team for an initial pilot stage; we used it to manage assets/track machinery maintenance in our seven distribution centres. We are now extending the solution to more departments, and taking the first steps to digitise many more procedures related to employee safety, cleaning plan, quality management and collaboration with HR. Before adopting Tekmon, we faced a shared challenge: the lack of a system to effectively manage processes. Relying on Excel made it difficult to handle tasks efficiently and led to issues such as challenging management, data-entry errors, and other related complications. During the adaptation phase, the primary challenge revolved around change management for the staff. It took approximately six months to refine and mature the process. With subsequent improvement actions tailored to meet our standards and needs, the upcoming processes are expected to operate seamlessly. When it comes to the users of the app, the executives for the machinery maintenance, that is, those who have the least familiarity with computers, to my surprise, they managed to complete the forms and checklists on the app correctly every time. They found the app user-friendly, which is one of the application's strongest points.
Pros: In my view, Tekmon’s primary advantage is the ability to digitize forms, integrate them into a process, and independently monitor the progress of specific tasks. There's no need to engage with developers for routine tasks or the digitization of various processes, anyone in charge of process optimisation and who is a bit tech-savvy can do it. I also have a good impression of the company's customer support; they are by my side to give me advice to move forward.
Cons: Not a drawback, but a note: a focused initial design and approach are necessary to fully leverage the solution. The capability to construct forms requires an additive design. It took some time to grasp how to utilize it to its fullest extent
"Our experience with Tekmon"
Overall: The Group I work for is in the retail food services sector and owns more than 10 different brands in Greece. We started our collaboration with Tekmon in pilot mode, in order to digitise our operations in one of the chain food stores of the company. We use it for the digitalization of tasks and workflows. For example, now regional managers can do inspections in the stores using the app on their smartphones. What used to be paper checklists and spreadsheets now exist in digital form in the app. Previously, we had great difficulty in managing all the inspection files, each regional manager had to send them to the headquarters, where someone would log the data into the system; which resulted in copy-paste mistakes and a lot of unnecessary work. We are seeing that inspections are now completed much faster and mistakes are eliminated. Following the pilot phase, we are planning to use Tekmon for even more functions, such as communication between the headquarters and the food stores, delegating tasks, having visibility on their completion etc. This will essentially help us in better project management.
Pros: What I like the most is that I can have easy reporting through Power BI embedded in the platform. We have also achieved a very helpful integration with Medallia and plan on more integrations for better interconnectivity. If you ask me a year from now, I am positive that the picture will be totally different, as we will roll out the solution in all the brands we manage.
Cons: Nothing in particular, we had an easy transition and we are now fully adapted to the software. Maybe the design and implementation phase took longer than it could – around six months. It was due to many reasons; on both sides, as we were figuring out the detailed scope of the project and the implementation steps needed to fully incorporate our business requirements into the platform.
"Flexible tool to facilitate mobile teams"
Overall: We use the software in warehouse operations in order to digitize data and facilitate structured communication among colleagues and collaborators. With Tekmon, we changed the hardware we use. Now, we use mobile devices, whereas before, we had desktop computers that weren't portable and that was quite limiting. For many inspections, we needed archiving and hard copies. We have now phased out hard copies, as everything is online and accessible to those who need it. There were multiple benefits to this: we saved space - we no longer have cabinets filled with paper, and we no longer print paper, so it's environmentally friendly. On top of that, the user now only needs their mobile device, while the desktop serves as the back office for administrators who work on defining the information they want to receive and organizing that information. This is the flexibility of the platform, as it frees users from being bound in the office, allowing them to be mobile within the warehouse. The transition was not difficult because everyone was naturally familiar with mobile devices. We simply added another application. The transition was smooth because we started with core needs, and the user himself requested the addition of others. The user continued to use it for their own needs, subgroups were created, each shift had its own forms, and the entire management was not involved. This is to cater to highly specialized needs that don't apply to everyone else in the department.
Pros: In this project, the process and the result were seamless without compromising flexibility. I never felt that our transition to Tekmon’s software was limiting me in any way. All this is thanks to the team’s understanding of our needs and their precious guidance on how to solve various issues. And the team’s support is continuous. It is great to have someone with a personal relationship who can assist you. With [sensitive content hidden] we have a professional relationship, and I get the feeling that I can turn to him for every little issue I face, whether it's significant or not. This is the most crucial aspect for the customer.
Cons: I want to point out that the usual issues that I disliked in other applications relating to the fact that they were solving issues while creating new ones are absent with Tekmon. Nothing negative to mention up to date.
