I've had nothing but a positive overall experience working with the Summize team and using their CLM. I especially appreciate how hard they all work to understand the specific needs of their customers, and then quickly introduce new features and functionality based on their takeaways. I'm excited to see what the future brings!

Pros

The Summize team, from Sales through implementation and ongoing customer support is what I like best, and it's what sets them apart from any other CLM platform out there. Second to that, it's clear they put tremendous focus on their UI and ease of use approach which, when it comes to user adoption, is huge IMO.

Cons

Their base level user license is limited in scope from a practical use standpoint which I don't think was made very clear during the sales process.

overall positive. I think receiving feedback to some of the questions I had has been a little bit slow, but overall I am happy. I am a bit sad that additional users are now so much more expensive to purchase, so that I am really needing to rethink adding more seats.

Pros

efficiency in one place. less administrative burden through automatic repository. Integration with docusign.

Cons

there is still some features that I am missing to make the summize experience a bit more practical. i.e. notification window to see all of the comments that someone has left you in one place. How do I know atm if someone responded to a comment in the web application? I am receiving 1u232u3948273 emails a day. It would be much better to also have this feature in the browser.

Integration with everyday tools like Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams allows legal and business teams to collaborate seamlessly without switching platforms. AI-powered features, such as automated redlining and risk analysis, further enhance efficiency by providing instant insights and summaries. Cons

While technical challenges can appear when fixing one issue and uncovering another. I think this is expected in complex systems with many moving parts. What stands out is how well the team handles these situations—using proactive strategies, automated testing, and clear communication. I joined my company at a time of rapid growth and our priority was streamlining our legal review process and understanding our existing contracts. Summize helped us accomplish both of those things in record time and has gained my loyalty for my career. The implementation process was well organized and we appreciated the help in getting our instance set up for how we needed it. Now that we're set up, most of my work is done through Summize and I've been able to create detailed notes on each request to reference when questions come up or it's time to renew a contract. Our adoption rate throughout our company is high and everyone knows to use Summize to get Legal's attention on something quickly. It is easy to use for all levels of proficiency and doesn't complicate anything unnecessarily. I already know that having Summize as my CLM will be a non-negotiable for any future companies I work for.

Pros

The customization options available for Summize are incomparable. When looking for my legal department's CLM, I really wanted something I could configure more freely to make work for my specific needs. Our instance of Summize now has many custom clause summaries, templates with specific task sequences, and full integration with our Docusign, Outlook, Slack, and Salesforce.

Cons

There is not really anything I don't like about Summize. There are a few things I would like to see that are personal preferences (like a dark mode option), but when I have suggestions our CSM, \[sensitive content hidden\] is always around to listen and bring them up to the dev team. Beyond that, the team is always improving the product and adding new features which elevate the product often.

It takes some investment to learn how to manage the clause summary AI, but once you do it is a huge timesaver. We really rely on Summize as a source of truth

Pros

One reason that we went with Summize and one of the reasons why we continue to like it is that the licenses are for the entire product, there is no nickel and diming for specific services and that there are unlimited uploads.

Cons

We had a rocky onboarding and sometimes I feel like we are still playing catch-up from that. We are a US company and have had issues with dates being transposed into EU format, there should be a toggle or engineering to make up for that.

I am very pleased with our decision to implement Summize. We trialled several systems and our day-to-day experience, having implemented Summize, justifies our choice. Where we have experienced issues, Summize has worked quickly to address them. Summize is receptive to suggestions for changes or enhancements to the system and we look forward to a collaborative relationship lasting many years.

Pros

This is a very intuitive system to use, whether as a legal professional or a member of the business. People require very little training. The system is also easy to use (again, as a legal professional or a business user). You can interact with Summize without logging into the portal if you wish by using Office add-ins. This is a real bonus for business users as they do not need to be confronted by a "legal" system. Summize integrates well with electronic signing platforms. You can take a document from draft to executed with ease. The signed agreement will automatically be added to the repository and then analysed by AI to summarise relevant provisions. Summize's use of AI is impressive. We have received good customer support throughout the process, from setting up the system to ironing out any issues.

Cons

Users must be assigned to groups. A user may only be assigned to one group at a time, which limits the freedom to set up notification groups where people may need to be a member of several groups. I understand this is something Summize is addressing.

very good. Everyone we dealt with has been immensely helpful, even in the face of some rather challenging requests from us.

Pros

The support & guidance during implementation was fantastic. The instructions and guides available on the website are very well put together, as I have referenced them when onboarding new users and they have all found them very useful

Cons

I honestly don't have anything that I didn't like about summize. It is worth noting that we aren't fully utilising all available services within the platform at present, so we may have further feedback in the future.

Excellent product and amazing support team - have used Summize for a number of years and has helped to enable my team - simple to use, great document management system and ability to have a bespoke implementation made the entire process of getting Summize ready to use easy.

Pros

Summize has a number of great features - but the stand out for me is the easy to use document repository and the red flagging feature of terms that are not in sync with your standards.

Cons

No negatives of my experience with Summize so far - the team have always been clear about what can and can't be done, nothing has been oversold or overpromised.

Our experience with the platform and customer service has been very satisfactory. Onboarding is easy and the program is very user friendly.

Pros

AI features which make review of contracts more efficient. Customer service goes out of their way to meet our needs.

Cons

When uploading documents to the repository, it would be helpful to have the ability to upload more than one contract type at a time in a single bulk upload.

It has been great. The setup is pretty simple, especially with the help of Eden. And the system is intuitive and easy to work with.

Pros

I love how easy the system is to use, not to mention how great the customer support has been. Eden, our account manager has been wonderful to work with.

Cons

I can't say that I have a lot of Cons, but maybe the process of getting our old contracts in our old filing system moved over into the repository.

Summize was easy to adopt because was integrating 2 of the tools I work with on a daily basis - Docusign and Salesforce. I have been impressed by the fact that they are responding to customer feedback, their wonderful customer service and user-friendly design.

Summize team provides an excellent support, they are available for training and ongoing support; Intuitive and user-friendly platform

I have used more of the basic features like built-in templates and I have not find anything I liked least about Summize.

From front to finish, Summize has worked to make us successful in fully utilizing the Summize system. The demos done were top notch and they were willing to provide as much training as we felt was necessary. The Summize team is remarkable and a pleasure to work with. Our Legal Department has been able to quickly produce reports for the security and sales teams and we are able to track our contracts through the negotiations to completion.

Pros

The Summize system is easy to use. For the Repository part of the system, I can easily add or delete users, add private folders for the company executives to use, and use their AI for easy contract content look up. For the Contract create/review part, our sales team loves the fact that they can stay in Salesforce to make any requests, and the legal team loves the fact that all versions of the contract negotiation is in one place to review.

Cons

In the Repository, if the same contract was downloaded with two different naming conventions, the system doesn't do an automatic compare and delete.

Experience has been positive so far, especially on implementation support side. Yet, after 1 year of implenentation we are yet to finalize it due to lack of sufficient resources from our side.

The product overall is very easy to use. The customer service team is very professional, continuously following up with us to see how things are going and are over all just a great group of people.

Very good it has saved us a lot of time and I can see the potential in the system going forward. The hyper care team have helped us with implementing a great deal of our plans. Being able to automate contracts on our own templates has been a life saver and the analytics section of Summize has really helped us show the team how the CLM is speeding up the

Contract automation, task creation, and the AI review and assistant features are a great help. The various integrations such as with Docusign have helped us ensure all contracts are collected in our repository.

Cons

I think Summize has great potential, but I would say the interface and speed of the system should be improved. I think the collaboration can be improved and also being able to set urgency of requests is missing.

The logical format of the platform meaning that in depth training is often not needed for updates. The responsiveness of their team and willingness to go the extra mile to assist.

the initial set up was quite laborious although this was a few years ago and I can see that the processes have been upgraded to make things much easier with the addition of premium playbooks etc.
