I found the Summize team very pleasant to work with through implementation and ongoing. I led one prior CLM implementation and assisted with 2 others, and I can easily say the Summize team was the most helpful, responsive and pleasant to work with. It was wonderful to be able to simply provide them our templates and workbooks and have them do the actual build rather than having to learn the tech to handle it all myself, something I just don't practically have time to do. I love that the tool has features like Outlook and Teams integrations, it helped with adoption, especially for users who simply didn't want to be bothered with having to learn a new system. I think the biggest positive is that Summize is constantly, aggressively improving. Every enhancement they add only makes the system closer to being the ideal CLM tool for any corporation, and I believe in a couple of years it will be the industry gold standard. I recommend Summize to all my colleagues who work at other companies.

Pros

Summize was designed to suit the way actual corporate contract negotiations are handled. First you draft the contract, then you send it do the other side to redline, then you upload it for internal review/negotiation. Other CLM systems are not designed with practicality in mind. The AI features are great, and the tool itself is very user-friendly. Adoption happened quickly and I get very little day-to-day questions or complaints from our hundreds of users.

Cons

I do find the repository filtering a bit buggy at times. For example if you try to sort by date modified, it often doesn't work correctly. There are also some features, for example being able to rename a contract when filing it for retention, that seem like they should be available but are not. On the positive though, I have always found Summize to be very responsive to user requests and I have put in feature requests so I am hoping in the future it will be improved.

[Workday Contract Lifecycle Management, powered by Evisort AI](https://www.capterra.com/p/10031425/Workday-Contract-Lifecycle-Management/)

Evisort and ContractsExpress (not listed but that's the product by Thomson Reuters) were both very expensive and limited in functionality. Evisort was clearly intended to be a redlining tool, so the respository was very clunky and difficult to navigate with poor searchability. ContractsExpress was only a contract template generation tool, not intended for ongoing management, and it was extremely archaic, I had to learn basic coding just to modify our templates!

Reasons for choosing Summize

We demo'd 3 other platforms in addition to the platforms we were already using or I was already familiar with from prior workplaces (Coupa, Ariba), but I don't recall names. Summize immediately caught my attention with the Teams functionality, I knew our users would enjoy that they didn't have to log into a separate platform just to generate their contracts, but the more I learned about it the more I was confident it was the right choice. On pricing, it ended up being on the lower side, but not the lowest, but it was agreed that the enhanced functionality made up for the cost.
