Strategic Growth Partner Real Estate Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Minga App is the best option for virtual approach" September 19, 2021 5.0 Compared to other software like Minga, this is the best of all, it is easy to use and program, it is easy to connect and if by any chance there is an error the customer service solves everything in record time. It is incredible how we have evolved in our meetings, conventions, conferences and events thanks to the excellent work that Minga App provides us. Pros It is very possible to integrate many options to be able to manage all our users in a fast and effective way, which is necessary to have an approach with each one and manage the necessary information of our CLE program. Conferences through Minga are amazing and easy to manipulate. Cons We have no bad opinion for Minga App, everything is intuitive and necessary for the daily use of such software. November 3, 2021 5.0 Overall, Minga is great for increasing student involvement and communication! Pros What I like most about this software is that it boosts engagement amongst students by encouraging them to take surveys/polls and participate in challenges for incentives! For challenges and contests, you can group students and staff into teams and build excitement through the leaderboard! Students are able to stay up-to-date on everything that is going on with notifications, messages and announcements. Students can also have their ID’s saved into the platform as Digital Student IDs for easy access; also saving schools time and money. I would highly recommend schools to take advantage of Minga, as it is an amazing software for building school spirit! Cons There is nothing that I like least about Minga. They posted inappropriate content and the intent was lost within two weeks, Pros I could see the good intentions behind the designers, and the administrators who put Minga into effect at our school. Cons Giving students the ability to post on a school-wide stream is dangerous. We are sorry to hear that your schools intentions with Minga did not quite come to fruition, launching Minga can be a delicate process at certain schools and needs to have some serious goals and tangible efforts behind the launch, above all we are sorry we didn't provide you with the tools you needed to effectively launch. We agree that sometimes students should not have full freedom to post on the main school feed which is why we offer role based restrictions (teachers/staff, SL, students). Minga recommends that posting is limited to teachers during the first few weeks of implementation. Technology Integrator Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Minga as Community Builder in Elementary School" November 12, 2021 4.0 Overall I am pleased with the response from families - they seem to enjoy the social media format of the classroom updates. I love that we have been able to open up our classrooms to each other, and the admin have commented about how nice it is to see more of the amazing things happening around the building. I am SO impressed with the help and response from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and her team. When I have a question (often) she gets back to me right away. When issues arise they are addressed before the day is out. Best of all, they always listen to our ideas or suggestions for ways to make Minga better and in some cases our suggestions have been implemented. Pros The software is easy to use, and easy to implement across a wide range of abilities. Managing users is straightforward and the dashboard tools for doing so are very helpful. Teachers find it very easy to use and engagement across the school on what kids are doing has skyrocketed. Cons We are using it slightly differently than most - no students yet, just for school to home communication. So the cons would be that much of the existing knowledge base is for grades 6-12 with many of the features geared toward an interactive social media format. Also it does not (yet!) sync with google calendar or with our SIS. But we are hopeful this is coming soon. Also, we are able to advertise clubs on campus which impacts many of our students. Pros Looks more like Social Media and it is safe for students, staff, and parents to use Cons It does not always work well on the App. Sometimes things are not always intuitive so I have to ask for help! November 12, 2021 5.0 Teachers can easily create clubs, homeroom groups, etc. Students feel more connected and excited to be a part of our school because it offers this chance to be a part of something larger. Minga does a good job of emphasizing and enabling the fun and social side of school and extends it to the home learning environment. Pros It is easy to use - students, parents, and teachers can quickly get comfortable using Minga to connect with others in our school community which is especially important when we learn from home! Cons I haven't yet found anything glaringly wrong with it - it is pretty intuitive and does a good job at what we use it for. When creating an event in a club it only shows up in the school calendar for members of that club, as to keep things organized for the students. If you would like to invite nonmembers to a club event, you can create a general event and mark it as "Hosted" by the club of your choice.
