### "Great way to manage your files and have access through web."

July 27, 2018

3.0

Pros

Finally you can have access to full AutoCad version from the internet without the need to download anything.

Cons

Tools for compare files aren't as friendly as you can hope, but good enough. the other thing it's you need to have a great internet connection to use the web platform, because it's really heavy.

I'm able to edit and create drawings on the go. I currently use a Microsoft Surface Go and I find that having the lite version of the software to be very helpful for me and those who work with me.

Pros

Ease of use and the ability to install it on a tablet.

Cons

Randomly crashes when there is more than one application or other software.

Reason for choosing AutoCAD LT

I'm familiar with AutoCAD mechanical layout.

### "AutoCAD LT - Light 2D Drafting for Professionals"

August 19, 2021

5.0

With AutoCAD established in the 2D/3D CAD market, it is hard to imagine that AutoCAD could deliver another product catering to a niche - I am pleasantly surprised by AutoCAD LT, which functions as a complete 2D drafting package that is entirely interoperable with other AutoCAD products, as well as third-party software.

Pros

What AutoCAD has done for the drafting industry as a whole, AutoCAD LT seems to have done for the 2D drafting industry specifically. AutoCAD LT is ideal for small drafting organisations, or teams who do not require the full AutoCAD environment but who don't want to compromise on their ability to deliver high-quality, professional drafts. Sporting a familiar interface, support for standard formats (both importing and exporting), as well as a lightweight core that is far less demanding of hardware than the full AutoCAD suite, AutoCAD LT manages to deliver as the best option in a very specific market.

Cons

There are no real faults in AutoCAD LT; it is exactly what's promised. An affordable price point, uncompromising drafting tools and a robust environment makes AutoCAD LT the ideal option for draftsmen or teams who do not require access to the full AutoCAD package, but instead only need a dependable 2D CAD environment.

Pros

The feature I like most of AutoCAD LT is the easy designing of 2D draws and building plans.

Cons

What I like least of this software is the cost of a license, which is not cheap.

### "Great CAD Value"

March 18, 2019

5.0

I use AutoCAD LT for landscape architecture and planning drawings and maps. It's a great 2D drawing tool and I have been using it or some form of AutoCAD for the last 25 years.

Pros

I appreciate that the AutoCAD LT gives me plenty of 2D functionality for a good price.

Cons

Wish it was easier to access tutorials on new features with each new version.

### "Inexpensive professional drawing tool "

January 19, 2018

4.0

Pros

Has most all features you need for drafting. Autocad sets the standard for drafting software. Most everyone accepts their files and is familiar with it.

Cons

If unfamiliar with Autocad, it can take a little time to get it to do what you need. LT has most features as full blown Autocad but have run into a few that it is missing.

### "Great CAD program, just a little too expensive"

March 9, 2018

4.0

Pros

The software itself is great, pretty easy to pick up and the versions don't change too much. I use it to draft metal parts and it does what I need it to do. Have also used it in the past for furniture layouts.

Cons

The software cost is really high, which has prevented us from upgrading to newer versions and has caused us to look into some other similar alternatives. Sometimes it's hard to find a certain tool, also, but that could be due to the fact that I don't use it on a daily basis.

### "Autodesk CAD LT is a great 2D tool"

June 7, 2017

5.0

Overlaying MFEP drawings and obtaining dimensions for onsite coordination.

Pros

I have been a CAD user since 2005 but more extensively 2007 when I started working at an architecture firm. I love the xref portion and the ability to layer drawings. I like that users can pay to use on a monthly basis instead of buying license packages etc.

Cons

I wish all AutoCAD LT drawings when in sheet mode had the ability to create a revision history log - which could be turned on/off. Sometimes when the architect/engineer releases new sheets it is hard to keep track of revision history (for guys in the field). The log could contain revision history number and description for 'future' tracking purposes.

### "Good program for 2D Drafting"

February 12, 2018

3.0

Pros

ACAD LT has most of the features like Sheet Set Manager and AD Center that are useful for drawing production purposes.

Cons

ACAD LT oesn't have the same 3D capabilities as ACAD Architecture, so you can't open some blocks which are 3D. There are some bugs but every version update gets better.

### "User friendly CAD for every company"

November 7, 2023

It is so far so good and meets our daily requirement.

Pros

This software is user-friendly. Once you know how to use it, it will be a useful tool.

Cons

It is not so powerful as other CAD software. However, it meets our requirement.

### "Autocad lite review "

November 14, 2018

4.0

Overall my experience is good and would recommend the software. It is quick to learn the basics but takes time to master the software. There is a lot of possibilities of things to make but finding out how to do them can be laborious.

Pros

The software provides an abundance of features for users to draft and draft efficiently. There is a small learning curve to understand the basics. It has met all the needs i needed for drafting.

Cons

The software can be difficult at times when trying to convert from drawing mode to paper and keeping the scaling correct. There most likely is a quick way to do this but watching tutorials I never did find a good video on ensuring the scaling is correct on the paper tap. Understanding the basics is easy on this program but once you start getting into it and trying to make more specific things it can be difficult. This could come from not enough experience but this just means there is a large learning curve to get past just the basics of the software.

### "AutoCAD LT vs AutoCAD"

October 4, 2018

4.0

Overall it is a great value for the cost. As long as you don't rely heavily on CAD, then I would suggest getting the full CAD package.

Pros

A lighter, less expensive version of AutoCAD, but still get's the job done for basic drawings and review. Functions are identical so that makes setting up the hot keys easy.

Cons

Some layering functions tend to have issues. Sometimes there is no way to change layer colors or transparency on imported drawings

### "Comprehensive functionality"

January 1, 2020

4.0

Pros

It covers almost every function required. A great platform for every party in the consultants team to provide input and consolidate all information to check if any conflict or discrepancy.

Cons

The function might not easy to learn, even the college might not cover all function too. Adobe can conduct more class to create awareness and educate potential users.

### "I have used AutoCad for years and it has served me well while working in the engineering industry. "

March 12, 2018

5.0

With this program you are able to produce professional drawings that can be used throughout the engineering industry among other industries.

Pros

I like that it has incorporated more and more add-ons throughout the years to make it easier for the designers

Cons

OMG, it is so expensive. In order to make your money back you have to be in the industry for several years. This is not a software that you get to just play around with. It is absolutely for professionals
