I needed a solution that would bypass default settings in outlook and let me set up email the way we needed it to work. Iron Scales does a great job with that and so much more! Pros Ironscales helps to protect our company through email protection and allows us to bypass the default settings in Outlook. We can customize our email settings the way we need them to be. Cons I have not found a downside to IronScales yet. So far the experience has been great! Even if we have deployed traditional SEG solutions, there are a lot of phishing attacks that they miss. We've been stunned by the reports we have received, and would recommend this anti-phishing solution to any company that understands where SEGs fall behind. Cons There's almost nothing to not like, truth be told. Pros High levels of phishing and account takeover detection, in addition to the reporting button available to end users. Cons The training and phishing simulation options require a lot more manual effort to configure, initially and ongoing, than they should. It should be a set-and-forget automated rotation of training videos, and get applied to new users automatically, with a lot more flexibility and automation than is there now. Recommend it as often as I can. Pros Ironscales was so easy to implement into our Microsoft environment. Literally took about 10 minutes. It was also easy to train the end-users how to report a suspicious email. For the administrators, it's simple to log into the portal or phone app to manage. I really like that Ironscales learns and adjusts to your M365 environment by auto-detecting and quarantining majority of phishing emails. Cons We have been using Ironscales for about four years and have nothing negative to report on. Information is clearly shown and easy to read. Email metadata is clear and concise. Most of the time I only need to check it once or twice a day, the software is smart enough to take care of the rest. Cons After selecting an email as phishing, sometimes there is a delay with the categories menu popping up. In the begging, a lot of items aren't able to be picked up automatically(but this is still understandable due to the type of software and what it covers). At least twice a week I have to manually review emails that are clearly spam. The product is fast, reliable, and the contains feature sets lacking in competing products. Pros The banners are by far one of most like features by our team. It's easy for users to work too quickly and click on a message without taking proper steps to ensure it's not a phishing message. The various warning banners help grab the users attention and help alert them to reasons why they need to cautiously interact with the message. We have found our user base to be more attentive to messages with the banners. Cons The community feedback feature sounds great in writing and we have found it useful at times when dealing with certain messages. However, we have frequently come across messages there were nothing more than spam that were erroneously marked as phishing by the IT community.
