It has tools for almost any function that you need to perform. Pros Project Insight is an excellent software which lets a team work on a project (mostly IT related) remotely with full efficiency due to it excellent portfolio and resource management and real time reports. Apart from its high degree of customization it also readily integrates with third party apps like MS Outlook, QuickBooks, etc. It comes with different subscription packages, so you pay for the features that you need. It also has a free version for those who just want to use its basic features. Cons Project Insight haven't got much issues to it but It is not easy to use it for novice users and thus have a certain learning curve which can be improved by making its UI more intuitive. I am fairly new to the system, so I am slowly discovering new features and adding the add-ons my team needs. Pros Very intuitive to navigate. Can add as many or as little add-ons as your business needs. Integrates well with other software/platforms. A lot of tutorial videos in the system to use as a guide as you explore the system. Cons I would personally like the views to be more compact so I can see more projects on the screen. Still able to achieve this by downloading a report into excel, so not a big deal. Pros After training, it’s easy to use and pulls together everything you need—task tracking, resource management, reporting—without making things more complicated than they need to be. It also works well for different work styles, whether your team prefers visual charts or more detailed reports. I’ve found the Microsoft Teams integration especially helpful since it keeps everyone connected and lets you access or update project plans right in the middle of your day-to-day conversations. Most of all, their customer experience is top-notch. They respond really quickly and even hold "office hours" every week - a meeting where you can call in if you need to with a specific question that you need answered quickly. Other people can also call in to office hours to learn from others' questions. Cons Project Insight can take a bit of getting used to if you're not already familiar with project management tools. That said, they’ve done a great job putting together a solid library of help videos and guides. January 11, 2023 5.0 Every part of the team at Project Insight -- be it administrative, training, or support -- was exceptionally friendly, responsive and enjoyable to work with. Because of our inexperience with multi-user project management, it took a while for us to develop and test our workflow... but between our onboarding, training and ongoing support, we always felt that the process was an entirely collaborative effort. Their team is exceptional, and the evolution of the product -- additional features added and excellent responsiveness to feedback -- is probably the best I've experienced. Pros Project Insight checked a lot of boxes for us; we were looking for a good mix of desktop and mobile usage, as well as tools that would make it easy for our users to update their task status on a long and complex critical path involving multiple users in multiple locations. Project Insight had the diverse tools we needed and was highly customizable to help us achieve our unique goals. Cons This is probably a comment more about project management in general rather than Project Insight specifically, but a great deal of time and care must go into developing your workflow and initial templates, and that can be a daunting task when you're first starting out! We had great training, support and assistance along the way, which helped us tremendously. Very convenient to use on a daily basis to record your time and track your projects. Some improvements such as fast loading while logging into the tool and easier exporting data interface can make it more awesome product. Pros The feature of Project insight I use the most is "Time entry grid". It just takes few second to record your time daily on one or multiple projects. Interface is quite user friendly. Cons Exporting time entries at the end of the year is a bit complex. I always forget the steps and have to ask some to help me with the process. Also, sometimes the tool takes a lot of time to start. Program Management Tool with Great Support from the Project Insight Team!!!" March 13, 2015 4.0 I was first introduced to the Project Insight, Program Management Tool, when I was asked to deploy the tool for the Avaya Corporation in 2013. Avaya is a global company with Project and Program Managers worldwide supporting Global Complex Managed Services. I was asked to deploy the Project Insight, Management Tool worldwide in 45 days. I had never deployed a Program Management Tool and this was a very aggressive schedule. We deployed the tool on 5/31/13 and it was a successful deployment due to the flexibility of the tool and the support from the Project Insight team. The tool is very flexible and the reporting capabilities are strong for operational views, which is our main use for the tool. The tool is very easy to implement as I had never implemented this type of a tool before and my main focus in the past was Program Management not tool deployment. As I mentioned above, due to the flexibility, ease of use with the tool and the support I received from the Project Insight Team with such supportive folks as Wes Kliewer and his knowledge of the tool and the collaboration from Wes contributed to the successful deployment of the tool. Today the Project Insight tool continues to grow across organization within Avaya. The high level of customer support is what you do not see often these days, especially after you have purchased and deployed a tool. Project Insight provided an alternative integrated solution which was quick to deploy and adopt company wide. Project Insight enables our project managers to quickly create plans from templates in order to monitor the progress of tasks and ensure project performance is maintained throughout. With Project Insight our projects follow standard implementation processes thus providing consistently and enabling teams visibility of progress and commercial performance in real-time. The visibility that Project Insight provides our management teams has enabled us to address issues earlier, fine tune processes and work to improve the accuracy of project forecasting whilst ensuring that the project programme remains under complete control. On the few occasions we have needed support the team at Project Insight have been responsive and they continue to provide us with an excellent level of customer service through regular account management calls.
