Pros

Once you learn what the different categories are it gives a good glimpse of your donor and their tendencies.

Cons

I entered gifts into the database and gift entering is bulky and very time consuming. It seems like some of the steps could either be consolidated or eliminated.

It is mostly very good. The only negative is at times when a new update is put in play things that used to work ( like buttons on a certain page ) quit working and it is hard to get the development people to look into and fix them back to original state

Pros

Numerous customizable features and modules. We may not use every one, but the flexibility allows us to use as little or as much as we wish. We literally can grow with our database.

Cons

As of now, my biggest challenge is user training within my agency. I have a staff with varying expertise in databases and getting them to move on from their spreadsheets is still difficult.

Pros

Clearview made searching for donors within our organization and pulling up donor profiles very easy. When we had calls coming in, I could use the search engine with quickly and with ease.

Cons

Clearview's functionality was not so user friendly. it was difficult to navigate the many options in this database and some of the functions were clunky and cumbersome

Pros

Easy to learn program. Great training program. Love the detailed information on constituents available once in the system.

Cons

Each company has its own set of business rules. Sometime that can be confusing to know that everyone is following the same rules.

Pros

The ease of viewing history. I am able to track a donor's history with one touch of button. This is helpful in fundraising campaigns.

Cons

I do not have any cons at this time. The only downfall is the information is only as good as the information that is entered.

More user friendly, so more staff can pull reports (instead of only one staff member pulling everyone's reports).

Pros

The looks of the software are top-notch. When working, reports are easy to pull, which allows more staff to pull their own reports.

Cons

The customer service seems to be lacking - canned reports will be broken, and when we ask for help, ClearView already knows what's wrong, but hasn't done anything to fix it. Then it takes a long while to fix reports.

A lot of the fields do not pertain to what I am trying to accomplish. Slows down a lot in the afternoon.

ClearView CRM improved how we operate and professionalized our contact with donors. One of the brightest spots in ClearView CRM is the Opportunity Module which allows us to monitor our major gift officers progress and the stage of their ask as well as accurately project our future revenue. We also need to track a lot of data such as magazine subscriptions, volunteers, field offices (units), pledges, memberships, and most importantly, donor prospects. The need to have everything in one system with complex security to ensure confidentiality is a must and ClearView CRM delivers on all points. Softrek runs their business in an efficient manner that focuses on customer service as well as providing state of the art technology to their clients. I strongly recommend implementing ClearView CRM and partnering with Softrek to run your operations, I'm sure both the product and the technology will exceed your expectations.

Keeps track of donors and their giving history.

Pros

Dashboard shows thumbnail report of funding status. Finding donors and their contact and giving history is easy. It is easy to find associated donors, such as their companies, organizations and spouses.

Cons

Generating targeted mailing lists is a bit difficult. There needs to be an event specific function to help us keep track of participants and revenue from a fundraising event. It would also help when generating mailing list for future event invitations.

Clearview, especially the Opportipunities Management module, is Fundraising 101 (In A Perfect World). It was written as if every donor is going to follow a set path, and if they don't there are no detours. I'm sure fundraising administrators think it's the cats pajamas, because if done correctly it oozes data. But inputting that data is annoyingly complex, time-consuming and overly rigid. CV and OM do not allow for the variations in the often complex and unpredictable dance between institution/relationship manager and donor/prospect. The donor's best interest is not taken into account.

Report pulling is straightforward and easy to manage. Processing donations through batch is somewhat laborious if any corrections need to be made. There are too many steps to take to make changes in a batch and there is no F6 function like there is in PledgeMaker.

New to this CRM but even those who have had several years of use have difficulty knowing exactly where to go and how to assemble reports to get the exact info they need. ClearView has a ton of info but needs to be a bit more intuitive. Even when working with a CSR, she was very friendly and helpful but she had some difficulty in finding the right pieces and where they could be found to build an ad-hoc custom report.

I have tested the prospect module and report writing. The search functionality is excellent. The layout of the screens is good as well. The ad-hoc SQL writing is very nice- takes getting used to. The saving of the SQL to rerun seemed to be a bit challenge when locating the saved SQL to rerun-probably once I was used to it, it would not be an issue.

What stands out to me with CRM is their customer support. OUTSTANDING! The CRM itself is very user-friendly. The jasper reports seem more technical to me and if you are a company that uses subscriptions you have to use Pledgemaker, which is extremely inconvenient. I will be thrilled when this feature and a few others are merged with CRM.

The Very intuitive program, you do not need to be a techie to make it work for you. We have changed the look of panels, had the ClearView team create need panels for specific needs. The customer service is outstanding. All development databases are very similar but ClearView sets itself apart by the quality of its customer service.
