### "Beautiful statistical software"

April 20, 2020

4.0

I like it and want to explore all its menu because I am sure it expand my knowledge about R and statistical analysis.

Pros

I like its beautiful design and its functionality that cover most routine statistical analysis in research. Its set of the parametric and nonparametric test seems complete except for McNemar's test. It's model fitting and model checking and model tuning capabilities also are interesting.

Cons

It seems this software like R does not let to edit graphs.

### "Thanks BlueSky Statistics!"

May 11, 2023

4.0

My overall experience is good, and the support by the BlueSky Stat Team is very good.

Pros

The higher pros of this program is the combined use of menu/windows and the R coding: BlueSky Stat is a very useful student's learning tool of statistical models.

Cons

More options and interactivity with graphs (for example shiny) should be very useful.

### "Individual user who downloaded BlueSky to learn R"

May 3, 2023

3.0

Potentially more fulfilling if I could actually use it.

Pros

Free product. For the time that it worked, I was able to learn a bit more about R.

Cons

Eventually stopped loading on my Mac, so I couldn't use it at all. Tried to update to a newer version, but the download was massive and I had to abort the download.

### "Review of Bluesky"

May 12, 2023

4.0

Pros

It has a gui with built in functions but some batching features which would make it more usable would be great.

Cons

Not all functions that you can find in other statistical software like JMP or Minitab are available in the free version.

### "Good inexpensive statistics software "

May 11, 2023

4.0

My overall experience is that the software is improving constantly and we expect to have a better experience with it.

Pros

I like how easy is to make statistical analysis and graphics

Cons

The interphase with R should be more transparent, I think for the persons that want to switch from this software to R should be easier, I understand that this is not the main focus but maybe this can replace the software we already used in R without the complexity.Another thing is that they need more fast assistants based on the most common tools used.

### "BlueSky Statistics"

April 24, 2020

4.0

Pros

BlueSky Statistics Free Version can be used for many clinicopathological research analysis. It can be used for descriptive statistics, group comparisons, hypothesis tests. It depends on R-project. That is why one has to install R separately. Some analysis coming with base R packages can be performed easily. However when one tries to use analysis that require other packages (like survival analysis) it gives an error with instructions guiding how to install missing R packages. This step should be modified to update or install packages automatically. Many users are not familiar with R-project and library structure.

Cons

Coming soon link goes to an old page. The interface mimics SPSS too much.

### "Very useful and promising"

April 12, 2020

4.0

I use BlueSky in the process of teaching statistics and methodology, along with other programs. Each time I observe the ease with which students learn and use various functions of Blue Sky.

Pros

Easyness of learning and use. Excellent tool for aproaching R. Good user interface Excellent features for reliability analysis Excellent features for manipulating/transforming/computing variables Adjusted p for multiple testing (rare to find in other statistical software) Efficient contextual help support.

Cons

Sugestions: A menu button for direct/easy switch between Data window and Output window. SEM (CFA & Structural models) In Variables view, the posibility of selecting multiple variables for changing some properties (e.g. Measure Scale)

### "An excellent bridge to using R"

April 12, 2020

4.0

Just very impressed. Some useful online guidance and podcasts plus notifications provided of software upgrades

Pros

For those of you used to using SPSS etc. but want to develop into R users this is the software for you. A graphical user interface makes it less daunting for the new user but allows access to a wide range of R packages. Code can be accessed and indeed added to when needed.

Cons

It would be unfair to say anything negative about the software as using the free version. Invaluable therefore for higher education students.
