I use it in a daily basis and I am able to do it better each day Pros Nice, aasy to use, easy to create, refine and improve systems around the website building, helps me productivize my services, so it helps make my business scalable. It has improvements that makes this processes easier. Cons Still struggling a bit with horizontal mobile and low res laptop responsive: I need to add media queries manually. Some bug that makes the builder Default interaction Mode change from hover (preferred) to click mode. I have to change it all the time. It happens sometimes, I don't understand why. Pros Overall the Divi Software is the most user friendly and intuitive website development tool I know. I am looking forward to version 5! This software is truly as easy as using a page layout program - love it.Probably even more impressive then the the software is the Divi support staff. I have truly come to depend on them for questions/problems about Divi and even Bloom. The support staff not only knows their software but also the software that connects to Divi, like MailChimp.They rock! I got the lifetime version because I can use it so many ways on so many different websites Pros I love that you can do so many things with Divi. And their documentation and support are awesome! It's great for business owners who are not designers, because you can create high quality custom websites that look like you paid thousands of dollars to create! I teach Divi to all my WordPress business owner students. Cons Sometimes the layouts don't load on the first try. And I don't like the new layouts coming out. They are all too masculine. You need some more feminine layouts made by female designers. Reason for choosing Divi I chose Divi because it had more documentation on how to use the theme and because it had a huge user base. January 1, 2021 5.0 Frankly, unbelievable. I still cannot believe the level of support that they provide. Maybe that's why they are so popular. I've already recommended Divi to numerous people. Just one caveat - whatever software you use, make sure that you use a high quality hosting company to whom you can pick up the phone and ask for help with hosting issues when you need to. I use https://www.freethought.uk/ another company that provides outstanding support 24/7. Pros Divi's greatest 'feature' is the absolutely phenomenal support they provide. Questions are usually answered within the hour, frequently by return or in a few minutes and very occasionally overnight. They are the most helpful and friendly bunch of people you could hope to have supporting you. Starting from scratch, learning WordPress and Divi, the curve is challenging but with perseverance and Divi support you get there! What's more, there is a huge installed base and a vast number of 'how to' videos to help you understand how things work. Cons There are no real 'cons' to this software in my opinion. There are parts that are complex but you gradually get your head around it and it all falls into place. Sure its difficult at times and if you're not into CSS (which I am most definitely not) it can be frustrating, but the frustration is ALWAYS relieved by a quick message to support and a few minutes later (usually) back comes an answer. Whenever it appeared that Divi was unable to achieve a particular result, someone in support would write me a special piece of code and tell me where it should be inserted. Bingo - I got the result I wanted! Reason for choosing Divi Divi was recommended to me by someone I trusted so I didn't bother looking around. A lot of our clients have had their sites developed by smaller or inexperienced developers and then once they need something a little better or their speed improved they come to us. This then involves either a redesign with better software or tedious coding to make DIVI do what the client wants. DIVI is good at what it is, a simple designer. Think Microsoft FrontPage for those who are old enough. Pros The amount of templates that DIVI has is incredible. The amount of tutorials is amazing. Getting a simple website up and running is very easy and can be done by someone who has very little knowledge. Cons The bloat of the software is unacceptable. The speed impact is dramatic once it is loaded. Adding more complex functions and designs requires 3rd party tools which are often more expensive than the original product. You can outgrow the software really quickly if you want anything more than a simple brochure site. Pros Ease of use and works in a modern and easy way and I always use it as a main site for building the site and when I encounter any problem and talk to the support within a short period they respond to my problem and solve it as soon as possible I recommend it a lot because it is the best. Cons I did not find many negatives, and they were not negatives such as installing the plug and working the first time it will seem difficult, but after that it will be easy. December 29, 2023 5.0 I first purchased divi to try on one site I was redesigning as a pro bono job for a friend, not really expecting much other than maybe a slightly more flexible template that what I'd used in the past. MAN was I wrong. I have since moved all of the sites I maintain (or create) to divi and haven't looked back. Pros Honestly, it's just so easy to use and not limiting. You can use it simply with a premade template, or go crazy customizing and have most everything you'd need available. Additionally, if you get too far away from your actual abilities the customer support team is absolutely fantastic. Cons This is totally nit-picky, but occasionally I'll come across some customizations that require some out of the box thinking to accomplish but should be something offered as a feature. Constant improvement to features and options. I've been with Divi since the beginning and now in version 4, it's just a beast of a powerhouse. Cons EVERY design software is going to have a learning curve (looking at you Photoshop). I can't say Divi is the easiest to learn, but I can say it's the most robust once you get the hang of it. A big problem for years has been INTEGRATION, and not every software you want to use pairs perfectly with Divi. With that said, the list of integrations reliably grow year after year. There are a lot of features in the program that I am still learning about. From the customer support side, it is FREAKING AWESOME. I love using the chat feature. Even though it says that it will take a few hours for response, that has never been the case. With me, it's usually 20-30 minutes and they have answered my question(s) and solved my problem. NICE JOB. Pros For me, being able to Save and Reuse modules has saved me a lot of development time. I really like the fact that there is a Global setting as well. When I update my footer on the Home page, it updates on all of my other pages as well. Cons I don't really understand the Role Management feature. The only thing I had problems with in the past was the contact form but I think that has been fixed already. Cons sometimes I have issues that it runs a bit slower but still could also be on my hoster so I am not sure. Pros \- Functionality - That it is permanently improved Cons The most challenging of building a shop is - for me - the checkout process, the my account endpoints and the thank you page. Even if I appreciate the new woo modules, the customization of the layouts I mentioned before is very difficult. The woocommerce data and tables look awful, and the Divi builder alone doesn't give me the opportunity to customize that on an easy way. Reason for choosing Divi Impreza Theme shot two sites completely. Customer forgot to update the licences, a few months later the sites didn't work properly any more. Pros It has a lot of features, but I would mention maybe 2: WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) builder capabilities. It's fairly intuitive and there are many tutorials both free or paid. Second think is huge market of 3rd party add-ons so probably if you need something specific you will find it there. No coding skills required.
