Honestly I never think about security because I know the software is working properly and updating regularly. Pros Keeps my important data safe. Excellent spam protection. No fear of emails being hacked. The software identifies potential threats and filters them out. Don't be fooled, there are cheaper option out there, but you get what you pay for. McAfee is always evolving to keep up with hackers who consistently find new ways to steal your sensitive information and send emails that look very convincing while being loaded with viruses. After the pandemic hit, my office sent employees home to work. in the end many of us continued to work from home for convenience. This software is not on both my work laptop as well las my personal desktop. McAfee will keep you safe from opening a harmful email, protect personal information from hackers and prevent you from being locked out of your email account if a hacker has gained access to your personal or work email. Potential spam will be sent to junk folder where you will have a Notification of potential spam. If you do recognize the sender you can still access the email. I was not surprised at the quality of this software because McAfee has a great reputation and is a leader in computer security. the software updates regularly so you are never paying for outdated software. Cons On occasion you may find that a non-threatening email may be wrongfully identified. I have had this happen a couple of times. A small inconvenience considering the high level of security being offered. As I mentioned you can still open emails marked as spam if you recognize the sender and once added to your contacts they will go directly to inbox in the future. I cannot afford harmful emails to get through. I had an incident a few years ago where I was locked out of my own email because a hacker had gotten through. I was never able to gain entrance again despite reaching ut to the email host. I lost important and private emails with sensitive information. Cons I have not had any issues so far. There may have been a couple of times that it sent emails to my junk folder that were actually safe but I check that folder regularly to make sure that hasn't happened. Cons I forgot to renew and I felt they were very pushy in terms of reminding me. Too many reminders sent repeatedly before I had a chance to take care of it.
